Another two ovulation tests today and still negative however this evening there is def egg white mucus so hoping this is the start. Will be DTD tonight.

ClaireSunflower · 17/08/2016 06:49

Congrats on the bfp sarah! amazing news, you must be so excited!

Glad you scan went well cookie it sounds really positive that your uterus and ovaries look normal. hopefully the 21 day bloods will all be fine too.

Hi to all the new people. I am at the boring stage in the cycle waiting to ovulate. Currently on cd12 so probably waiting quite a bit longer as my ovulation has been happening anywhere between cd22 and 30 since coming off the pill. So wish it would be cd14 like most people. I am quite impatient and this endless waiting doesn't help!

Shoney85 · 17/08/2016 07:51

Suffering today with heartburn/indigestion. Don't know what's going on with my body. Anyone else get this around ovulation time cause had it last month as well? Prior to that I suffered bad when on our cruise (too much fatty foods) after being so healthy in the lead up to the wedding/honeymoon. Before that never had it before. Soooo annoying.

Anyone testing today? Hope we are all good today!!

Seven0fNine · 17/08/2016 07:52

I'm impatient too Claire This whole process seems to just be one drawn out wait 😪😪
Not good when you're feeling broody!
I'm... still.... waiting... for... AF ... 🙄😪😖😝

Good luck Shoney... My DH didn't know what hit him last month when I was up for dtd every day Haha!

growcookeat · 17/08/2016 08:04

I hate the waiting too Claire and Seven! Try to keep busy so it distracts me from it all. I know what you mean about long cycles - mine have been all over the place since coming off the pill. First few were around 23 days then lengthened to 30+ days recently Confused makes it so hard to keep track!

Fx for anyone testing soon.

HighHopes16 · 17/08/2016 09:57

I rang the doctors today to get the results of my scan but the soonest appointment was mid September! :(

I keep wondering about why she made me do a pregnancy test, it was like she could see something on my scan so wanted to be sure I wasn't pregnant. It might just be leftover tissue from my m/c but I'm sort of wishing its a very early new pregnancy. Star

sarahhh1984 · 17/08/2016 11:06

Morning, ladies. I've just got back from my GP appointment and thought I'd tell you about it as I had a slightly different experience from marmite.

Doctor didn't bother doing a test as he said hpts were reliable enough and since I'd had two BFPs I definitely was pg (woohoo!). Then he just did a basic check-up, checking my weight, giving some screening questions and checking my heart rate, pulse and blood pressure. Once he was happy everything was OK, he gave me the number for Liverpool Women's Early Access Service and told me to call them ASAP to make my first midwife appointment.

Just did that when I got home and spoke to a very friendly lady who did a few more screening questions and got me set up on the hospital's system. Then she found the next available midwife appointment near me which is at a local children's centre on 5 September when I guess I'll be just shy of 7 weeks. Apparently my first midwife appointment will be held there but all of the others will be out of my GP's surgery and/or the hospital itself.

So that was my experience! Apparently I'll find out more about the appointment itself when they send a letter through confirming the time and date.

Welcome to all the new people and fx for all those due to test. xx

tatatetelle · 17/08/2016 11:07

HighHopes, can you get your the results from your surgery over the phone when they receive it? The results from my scan were straightforward and could be read to me on the phone so hopefully they can do that for you as well. My GP didn't have much to add on to them, but because mine were clearly polycystic she's agreed to refer us even though we have been trying for less than a year.

Good luck with the waiting ladies!!

tatatetelle · 17/08/2016 11:08

and congrats sarah!!! Flowers

mommathatwearspink · 17/08/2016 11:10

Glad your appointment at the GP went well sarahh. Exciting times ahead Smile

Is dry mouth a symptom of ovulation or pregnancy? I woke up today and cannot get rid of a dry mouth! Not due to test until end of next week.

sarahhh1984 · 17/08/2016 11:43

Don't want to get your hopes up momma but dry mouth was one of my earliest symptoms (not that I knew it at the time) and I've still got it now. In fact, I'm in an endless cycle of drinking and peeing! Maybe hang on to test a bit though so you don't test too early? x

LuciBee231015 · 17/08/2016 12:28

Ah sounds like it all went smoothly Sarah. It's so exciting!

Momma, when are you due to test? x

marmitecheesetoast · 17/08/2016 13:05

Glad it went well sarah my GP didn't check any of that stuff! And I'm still feeling rather deflated after brush off from maternity unit. Not really sure when I'm supposed to ring back. Glad your experience was better! It's great you have a first appointment to work towards, that's what I could really do with! How are you feeling has it sunk it at all yet?!

HighHopes16 · 17/08/2016 13:35

tata I never thought about getting my results over the phone - it's worth a try as I don't want to wait another month!

Glad your first appointment went well sarah. When I first found out I was pregnant, my GP said they didn't make appointment until after 8 weeks and I never got to that stage.

I agree about the dry mouth momma I also had a metallic taste for the first couple of weeks. Fingers crossed!

sarahhh1984 · 17/08/2016 14:22

It's just about sunk in now, marmite. Think talking about it to someone other than DH (even if it was just my GP and the lady on the phone) had made it seem real. Have you had any joy deciding on a hospital?

It's horrible that you got that brush off from the maternity service. And, HighHopes, it's horrible they wouldn't even let you make the appointment. Think I'm really lucky to be in Liverpool. I was reading on the Women's Hospital website and it's their policy to see every pregnant woman as early as possible. Their aim is for between 8 and 10 weeks but looks like I just got lucky with an early appointment. Think their policy should be the rule, not the exception. Xx

LuciBee231015 · 17/08/2016 14:57

I'm on cd13 today. Today and yesterday had pink/light brown tinged cm (sorry tmi!!) feel majorly bloated and constipated, literally impossible to drag myself out of bed in the morning too. I'm guessing symptoms of coming off the pill.

Going to do another ov test later, if I was on a normal 28 day cycle this would be my fertile week so kind of acting as if it is, even though I don't know! ...just in case!

Hope everyone is ok. x

looby1304 · 17/08/2016 16:14

I'm going slightly crazy with symptom spotting. I've deleted ovia and didn't get on with measuring BBT but I still sit here thinking about every possible symptom. I'm only on cd20 so have got at least 10 days before I can test! So far I've convinced myself that my boobs and nipples are more sensitive, I feel nauseous every now and then, I'm finding running more difficult and I've got a metallic taste. I think that most of these are probably imaginary though! We didn't even dtd as much this month so I'd say chances are they mean nothing.

It really didn't help either that I went into work today and one of the other teachers told us she's 13 weeks pregnant, I thought being back at work would take my mind off it!

Anyone else having/had similar problems?

tatatetelle · 17/08/2016 16:29

I completely empathise with you looby, happened to me a few months ago when I still had AF (although irregularly) so could track-ish. I felt bloated, had pain/slight cramps around ovaries, felt nauseous, boobs and nipples were sensitive... for me it turned out to be false alarm... our mind plays weird tricks on us sometimes...
But still, who knows..! Might be worth trying to relax and wait until you can test..! It only takes the one time Wink

Sorry about the bug - didn't mean to send the message twice.

also HighHopes let us know if you can get your results over the phone! Fx

LuciBee231015 · 17/08/2016 16:48

I've now got a dull tummy ache...I have a feeling it may by af on her way perhaps. Not had a proper one since stopping the pill 3 weeks ago. I guess I'll just have to wait and see!

I'm so impatient, I hate all this waiting!

marmitecheesetoast · 17/08/2016 16:57

Thanks sarah yeah I agree! No idea which hospital to pick and feeling a bit stressed/overwhelmed about it all actually. I mean in some ways it's good to have a choice, but in other ways, how are we actually meant to decide?! Also feel a bit miffed that GP didn't really do anything and I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing now. Would feel better if I was 'in the system' wth local midwifes.
Glad it's all sinking in a bit for you now, such an exciting time! I agree talking to someone else about it makes it feel real and that must be even more true when you've got midwife appointment booked in!

Hope all those symptom spotting and in the 2ww are managing to hold on to some sanity. Try to ignore all symptoms and put it out your head as best as you can to stay sane I say (easier said than done!) also leave testing til late as you can hold out for!!

sarahhh1984 · 17/08/2016 17:25

Perhaps you could call that number back, marmite, and just say that no one's really explained what you're meant to do next, when should you call back etc.? You never know, you may get someone nicer this time!If not, perhaps go back to the GP and get them to do the referral to the other hospital? At least then you'd be in the system and I was reading today that you can change your mind later about the hospital you want to give birth in - this doesn't set it in stone apparently. xx

Shoney85 · 17/08/2016 18:35

Well interesting day, what I thought was bad heartburn actually sore boobs and got worse as the morning went on. I took an ovulation test at lunch but still negative. The line looked slightly more darker but probably just thinking that. Anyway in the last half hour or so Ive had pretty bad pains coming from my right lower side. I've never experienced this before and genuinely at one point felt like I had a pulse for a few secs down there then shortly after felt like I had a stitch low down to the right. So praying that an egg has been released or if not on its way. Can still feel an uncomfortableness down there. Will take an ovulation test shortly see if there is any change. Fingers crossed Star Star
