It's pretty clear (faint but clear if that makes any sense) on the test in front of me now but not too strong on the pics. Attached a couple more where I think it's a bit stronger looking.

Shoney85 · 15/08/2016 13:40

I definitely see it, congratulations x

HighHopes16 · 15/08/2016 14:11

Wow I can definitely see a second line- Congratulations sarah :)

mommathatwearspink · 15/08/2016 14:13

Congratulations Smile

sarahhh1984 · 15/08/2016 14:17

Thank you ladies! I'm going to take a second FRER in the morning to confirm and assuming that's a BFP as well I'll make an appointment with my GP.

Really can't believe it! Xx

marmitecheesetoast · 15/08/2016 14:25

That's a definite second line sarah!! Congratulations!!
That's what my first Frer line looked like and it got stronger with each day that went by (as I merrily used up my entire stock pile Grin)

sarahhh1984 · 15/08/2016 14:31

Thanks marmite! I'd expect it to be stronger in the morning as that wasn't even fmu. It was done at lunchtime after around 2.5 pints of water, a cup of coffee and a cup of tea! So hopefully tomorrow morning will give me a nice strong line! But after that, no more testing (apart from doctor's test) or I'll drive myself potty.

Have you had your doctor's appointment yet or is it later today? I've just made an appointment for Wednesday on the assumption that my confirmation test tomorrow will be all fine and dandy so would be good to know what happens if you're happy to share! Xx

marmitecheesetoast · 15/08/2016 15:15

Looking forward to seeing an even clearer line in the morning then! Smile

My appointment was this morning. Of course she didn't laugh at me and say no, you're not pregnant (as was my irrational fear!) She didn't even do any test to confirm, said hpts are so reliable these days they don't check. I have a choice between two hospitals and had to decide which one I wanted to go to - didn't expect this already! - as for one of them the GP refers you and for the other you ring the antenatal unit yourself directly to register the pregnancy. I wasn't really sure which to pick but anyway went for the one you ring yourself. GP told me to ring asap so I nipped out on lunch break to give them call. The incredibly rude and unhelpful busy sounding lady I spoke to basically said its too early, 'try again next week' and practically put the phone down on me Hmm

Not really sure how i'm supposed to pick between the two hospitals, they are basically equidistant for me. Anyone else in Manchester area?

tatatetelle · 15/08/2016 15:15

Hello everyone, I was hoping to join?
I'm 28yo, ttc since January '16 but I've known I have PCOS since I was 19 so always knew it might be a bit more difficult to get pregnant. Hubby did SA and all is good for him so our GP has agreed to refer us to a fertility clinic, although I'm a bit worried about waiting time now! Because of PCOS I haven't had a cycle in 5 months so can be..challenging to keep trying while we get the referral appt (for me more than for him I think!), so it would be great to have people going through something similar to chat to from time to time!

marmitecheesetoast · 15/08/2016 15:15

Ps have you told your OH yet?

sarahhh1984 · 15/08/2016 15:35

Thanks marmite! The info on the GP appointment is really helpful. Glad it went well. I'm in Liverpool and so will probably go to the Liverpool Women's Hospital as it's only down the road. I believe they have an early access service but imagine the GP will tell me about that.

Picking between two must be hard - I wonder have women reviewed their experiences online? That could help you decide?

Told OH and he was made up. But I think he wants to wait for me to confirm it tomorrow morning before he gets too excited.

Meeting a friend tomorrow evening for dinner. May have to pretend I've just had a big IBS attack to get out of drinking alcohol without suspicion. xx

LuciBee231015 · 15/08/2016 15:40

Well I can definitely see the line on the other pictures! How exciting! Please send another one tomorrow for us to see! It made my belly go over! 😁

Was that your first cycle as well Sarah? x

looby1304 · 15/08/2016 15:52

Congratulations! How exciting, bet you're over the moon!

growcookeat · 15/08/2016 15:55

Hi all can I join you on this thread?

Ttc since May - came off pill in Feb and very irregular cycles since. Started opk's last month but not had any +ve tests yet. Don't know if I'm not doing them right or just miscalculating the timings or what! Still having AF though. Currently cycle is anywhere between 21 and 37 days. Right now on CD 17.

Look forward to chatting Smile

sarahhh1984 · 15/08/2016 16:11

Thanks looby and Luci! I'm so happy. Can't stop shaking though. Didn't expect a BFP so quickly. Especially not today as the reason I tested was I thought AF was coming.

It was Cycle #2 although I suppose that's my first "proper" cycle following a real AF. Think I ov'd on CD15 or there thereabouts which would put me on 12dpo today. xx

sarahhh1984 · 15/08/2016 16:22

Sorry, that should say 13dpo - can't count!

Seven0fNine · 15/08/2016 16:29

Congratulations Sarah!! My sister gave birth at the L'pool Women's and they were really good. (I live on the Wirral...our location/choice of tv and cycles seem to be pretty similar)

So nice to hear what happens next marmite, I haven't thought much past dtd and keeping an eye on dates! Desperately trying not to get carried away but I guess that ships already sailed!

Hello to tata and grow Smile

marmitecheesetoast · 15/08/2016 16:50

Oh Liverpool Woman's will be great sarah. I'm in Manchester and have a choice between Wythenshawe and St Mary's. Going to do a bit of research tonight and look at reviews.

It it a shock when it happens so early, not that I'm complaining! It was only second cycle of trying 'properly' for me too.

Bet you can't wait to see OH tonight! I have mainly been using IBS and UTI as my excuses so far!

Fx for anyone else testing soon!

BoBo90 · 15/08/2016 17:24

Congratulations Sarah!! Grin We've had quite a few bfps lately!!

Welcome Tata and Grow!

Fx you're not waiting too long for referrals/appointments etc Tata

Grow are you doing opks in the afternoons and more than one a day around ov?

Sorry about af High but hopefully you have had the results you were after from your scan! I think it's normal to hope to find something wrong like pcos as then you finally have a reason for things not going right Smile

Marmite I'm sure you can look up online and compare the facilities at different hospitals which might help in the decision making process! Shame the staff were rude and unhelpful!!

How was your appointment Cookie? Good news I hope Smile

I took a ovulation test today but still negative. I try and do mine twice a day just to catch it. Nothing so far. Had the odd day where it looks slightly darker than usual. Had bad heartburn last night and a wee bit this morning. Had some cramps end of last week into the weekend but nothing much today

LuciBee231015 · 15/08/2016 18:38

I took an ov test just now as if I was on a normal cycle I would be on my fertile week this week. (I don't actually know if I am as this is first cycle off the pill)

I'm sure there was a second line but was reaaaaaaallly faint and I may have been imagining it. So I'm going to do them every day this week and see if the line gets stronger. Fx!

LuciBee231015 · 15/08/2016 18:43

Here's the pic, what you think? Should I keep doing them this week? Or am I just hoping there is a line there and there isn't lol.

If so dh is getting pounced on this week!! 👉🏻👌🏻

growcookeat · 15/08/2016 18:51

I'm doing one opk a day in afternoon. Today's looks darker than last few but not dark enough! Fx it's on the way. We are dtd regularly just in case as haven't really got a handle on the dates yet. Cycle 4 of proper trying btw.

Great news for those of you who have bfps! Good luck for those testing soon X

Shoney85 · 15/08/2016 19:16

Lucibee def negative, the line has to be as dark if not darker than the control line to be positive. It test for the surge of hormone LH which we have in our bodies all the time, hence the faint line

BoBo90 · 15/08/2016 19:16

Luci and Grow you both have darkish lines so you now need to test twice a day! Mid day and late afternoon/early evening. The positive can last just a few hours so it's important to test twice! Also when you do get a positive keep testing until the line disappears. Everyone is different but some people do have positives for a few days so you need to keep dtd until the day after the line has faded 😄

Luci if you don't normally have lines that dark I would guess you would ov in the next couple days so get dtd if you aren't already 😊

Good luck girls x
