Sorry AF got you lou Flowers

Sounds like your body is getting back to normal and AF just around the corner highhopes

I think I'm 5 weeks tomorrow. I've booked a private early scan for just a few days before 8 weeks. So working towards that at the moment! The bridesmaid dress shopping trip was today and we got dresses... Luckily from John Lewis so they have a 90 days return policy so that should work in my favour if needs be!

HighHopes16 · 13/08/2016 22:59

I do hope so marmite ! It's such a confusing time..
I bet you were dying to tell your fellow bridesmaids your exciting news, I'm sure the next few weeks before your scan will fly by. :)

Seven0fNine · 13/08/2016 23:27

Haha thank you Sarah... Currently on a voyagerathon - I guess the only other distraction than ttc now it's the summer holiday...

Marmite - you're friend will be delighted and completely understand when she finds out. Dont worry :) my sisters friend recently got married with 3/4 pregnant bridesmaids..the hen doo was a bit boring to say the least!! xxx

sarahhh1984 · 13/08/2016 23:46

Marmite, just been bridesmaid at a wedding where one of the other bridesmaids was five months pregnant. The dresses were bought when she was still trying and she just got it altered. If the bride loves you enough to ask you to be bridesmaid then she'll be so delighted for you that she won't care if your dress has to be altered/changed. x

SevenOfNine, also on Voyagerthon. DH is a big Trekkie and is educating me in the ways of the Federation. He picked Voyager to star me on because he figured I'd love Janeway. He was right! It's definitely a good distraction from ttc as well! x

Shoney85 · 14/08/2016 17:09

Afternoon would like to join, this is our first time trying to conceive, i finished the pill mid January then had a period. Had occasional spotting over the next five months, ovulated June (although didn't realise at the time) then had my first proper period 21st June and then began trying. We went on honeymoon and had a great holiday but didn't actually think about me having longer cycles and I think we my have missed the boat. I had a forty day cycle and got my 2nd period 31st July. We now have been ovulation strips and testing daily to see. So far nothing but if I have a longer one not looking to ovulate till nearer the end of August so praying for it to work. At the moment trying to do it every couple of days. Both just so anxious to be parents. Fingers crossed it work this time.

BoBo90 · 14/08/2016 18:46

haha Seven! I love Voyager, it's by far my favourite Star Trek series Grin Sarah your DH picked a good one to get you into it!

Sorry Af got you Lou Flowers

Oooh so exciting Marmite! Be sure to post of pic of your little bean when you have your scan Grin I bet you can't wait!

Haha Sarah, my DH is the same. TNG is also fabulous - we joked were kinda serious about naming our child Jean-Luc haha...

So now I'm waiting for AF...no idea how long my cycles are but before pill I remember them being pretty regular and usually plenty of signs it was on its way. This month, being the first one off pill I now have no idea whats going on. Absolutely no signs of AF and I feel a total novice at all this stuff. From reading everyone's posts maybe I should of had a couple of months being off the pill before trying..

Shoney you got me thinking too maybe I'm just having a long cycle

I'd never even bought a pregnancy test until today and now I'm bricking it about doing it!

Cookie22 · 14/08/2016 19:45

Hope everyone's well! CD8 for me and strangely looking forward to my doctor's appointment tomorrow where I'll get the results of my scan. Sorry to hear of AF arriving for some of you. We need more Bfps! Bobo have you ov'd yet? Back to work for me tomorrow after 7 weeks off Shock xx

BoBo90 · 14/08/2016 20:16

Good luck tomorrow cookie 😊 I hope you get some answers hun and that work isn't too stressful for you! Still no Ewcm but I have had some pains today so hopefully I will ov in the next day or so but its not looking hopeful this cycle 😔 I'm never going to get me a babber if I can't produce Ewcm properly grrr

Jjspoon · 14/08/2016 20:34

Welcome to newbies :).

cookie so hope tomorrow goes well for you it feels like ages ago you had the scan, bet you can't wait to just find out how it all was.

bobo don't get too disheartened by the ewcm, the cycle I got my BFP I only had a small bit in the morning and then gone again by the afternoon (dtd that evening), i wouldn't have even noticed if I wasn't closely examining knowing I was due to ov soon! Also it's not impossible without it is it? just makes it a bit easier for the little guys I think.

Cd4 for me today, still got AF. Everything goes soooo sloooow when ttc doesn't it. Weeks counting down the days to ov and then weeks counting down til poas time.

mommathatwearspink · 14/08/2016 21:28

Hope everything goes ok tomorrow cookie Smile
My boobs are SO sore today, my nipples feel like they are on fire Shock

marmitecheesetoast · 14/08/2016 21:52

Aww thanks seven and sarah

bobo I didn't see any ewcm at all last cycle if that helps! Just Ov pains and positive opk.

Feeling strangely nervous about GP appointment in the morning, guess it makes it real! And what if GP turns round and says er, you're not pregnant! Haha..

Loulabelle1990 · 14/08/2016 22:10

Welcome to all the newbies Smile.

Bobo ha e you ever tried preseed? I have heard some good things about it! I wouldn't worry too much about the EWCM. Apparently drinking more water helps. Well since I heard that I've produced more since drinking loads more water!

Cookie and marmite good luck with your GP appointments! Make sure to let us know how you get on!

AF is still in the house. Only CD2! Going on my walking holiday to Wales on Tuesday so that will help keep my mind off ttc. I hate that I have such long cycles!

Shoney85 · 14/08/2016 22:28

Speaking of EWCM when I first ovulated after coming of the pill in June it was practically running out of me when me and the OH we're DTD (sorry to be so graphic). I didn't know it at the time but since TTC learning all the ins and out (still wish we had been trying then but was holding off till our honeymoon, had I known then I would have for sure). I didn't notice anything like that in July and I do drink a lot of water. Try to get two pints at least a day. Just wondered in July when we started to try I started to take pregnacare original but I am now reading this can dry you up....anyone else had the same?

sarahhh1984 · 15/08/2016 07:20

Cookie and Marmite, good luck at your appointments today!

I'm due on AF tomorrow (of course, that's assuming a regular cycle) so waiting to see if she appears before I test.

So far I just have all the delightful symptoms that could mean either PMS or pg: massive, sore boobs, sore nipples, darker areolas, a few zits, lots of discharge (tmi, sorry!) and occasional cramps. Also have a bit of a sniffy nose and sore throat - although that could be completely unrelated. So, in short, I have no idea if AF is coming or not. We will see...

Is anyone else due to test? Xx

BoBo90 · 15/08/2016 07:57

Thanks Jj and marmite that's really reassuring 😊
Let us know how your gp appointment goes marmite and tell us all what actually happens wen you go for the first appointment as I have no idea!!

Lou I've tried preseed but wasn't lucky that month and sick cold turkey we decided not to use it. Also dh didn't really like it as it made things a little warm in there lol 😆

Momma those are some good symptoms!! Are you due to test soon?

Shoney I would bin the pregnacare! I was on For 8 months and had longer cycles and not much cm at let alone Ewcm! I stopped it last cycle and had much more cm and cycle was a week shorter!

Fx af stays away Sarah!

Shoney85 · 15/08/2016 08:02

Thanks for the tip BoBo90, as of today no more. I havent been too consistent with it as kept forgetting to take it lol

mommathatwearspink · 15/08/2016 08:29

I'm due to test end of next week so still a bit of a wait for me!

Fingers crossed for you sarahh

LuciBee231015 · 15/08/2016 09:21

Not much to report from me. Cd11 after stopping pill on 31st July. That's counting my withdrawal bleed as cd1. We are dtd every couple of days. So guess I'm just waiting to see how long my cycle is and when my first proper af shows up...

Keeping my eye on cm, which seems to have settled down a bit now. X

sarahhh1984 · 15/08/2016 09:31

Hmmm... Just noticed some light brown discharge when I wiped. No idea if this is normal for me as I'm only on Cycle #2 - although it didn't happen last month that I noticed. Just went straight to full on AF.

No cramps today - although yesterday evening I got some really sharp cramps that only lasted a few minutes.

Ah well, all I can do is wear a liner and see what happens! Xx

HighHopes16 · 15/08/2016 09:36

I've got my ultrasound scan this evening and I'm so nervous! Is it bad that I actually hope they confirm I have pcos? As that would explain a lot of symptoms I've been getting and I can then hopefully get treatment.

Good luck testing Sarah , who else is next?

HighHopes16 · 15/08/2016 11:12

Oh and typically it seems AF has arrived this morning!! Angry

sarahhh1984 · 15/08/2016 13:12

Ladies, I caved and used an FRER as I was panicking that AF was on her way. Can everyone else see the line? Does it look like an evap line? I'm freaking out a bit...

Thread 4: Ttc without ease, loopy length cycles, post pill poas and everything in between!
LuciBee231015 · 15/08/2016 13:21

I can't see it, but sometimes they don't show up very well in the pics x

mommathatwearspink · 15/08/2016 13:22

I can see the line!
