Thanks for the reassurance BoBo! It was one of those social events where I couldn't really not drink if you know what I mean!

Sunnydays321 · 07/08/2016 06:03

Hi all, especially cookie, johno, loulabelle, bobo... Some of the original gang. I'm still lurking and catching up with the thread, sorry to see you are still going and not on the preggo list yet, but it will happen. Remember it took me 9 months, and I was losing hope (and patience.... And my sanity some months!) with the bloody craziness that is post pill cycles and ttc. Hi to all the newer faces as well, good luck on your journey. Me and Chapman are both due in December and both having little girls, we are on the same Facebook page and it's lovely to have someone to chat to going through the same stuff, and it all started here. You were all a great support! I've got my fingers crossed for you. I'm currently lying awake (since 4am)... With this wiggly little baba squirming away in my tum. Nearly 23 weeks now and enjoying it all, not taking it for granted and embracing the various discomforts and worries (and aiming not to complain about any of it) because I know lots of people want to be in my shoes, and would kill for the heartburn and aches and insomnia etc! It will be all of you soon I'm sure! Il keep lurking and looking out for news xxx

Cookie22 · 07/08/2016 10:15

Sunny!! I've missed you huni! You were the first one I spoke to on here after my post pill/cycle meltdown. Wow, a little girlie. I'm absolutely over the moon for you and so glad you're doing well & enjoying your pregnancy. Please keep lurking and posting every now and then (especially when mini Sunny arrives so we can have a wee peak at some photos). She'll be here before you know it! You girls give me hope!

How are all the tww'ers doing?? Claire, did the spotting turn into full blown AF?? I hope it didn't lovely! Can totally totally empathise with you regarding the short luteal phase.

Lou, I was out at a family birthday dinner last night and had a couple of glasses of wine too. I felt guilty but, like Bobo says, I really don't think it's going to do any harm yet!

Bobo, so glad to hear that ov seems to be approaching even earlier than last time. Get on it girl!! You'll be in that tww before you know it.

Just want to thank everyone for my post scan support. You girlies are all just so lovely. Not got my gp appointment until a week on Mon so I'll hopefully find out an answer then. Currently 9dpo... Yes 9dpo!! This is the first time in like EVER that I've managed to reach 9dpo (well in a few months anyways). I feel like I'm frightened to move and every toilet trip I simply don't want to look in fear of red alert. Does anyone else get like that? In the restaurant last night I swear I actually pee'd and stared straight at the door in front of me and didn't want to wipe! Tmi!! May do a cheeky test tomorrow if no AF xx

ClaireSunflower · 07/08/2016 11:04

Aw sunny lovely to hear from you and so happy your pregnancy is going well and having a little girl! You give us all hope so thanks for the update and wishing you the best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

cookie 9dpo, that's amazing, I really hope this month is your month. Fx AF stays away for you and I know what you mean about the red alert haha!

Unfortunately for me the spotting turned into full AF so a bit annoyed. What a rubbish cycle! Didn't ov till cd30 then only had a 7 day lp! Glad this bullshit cycle is over and onwards and upwards to the next one. I'm a bit peed off because 4 months off the pill and if anything my cycles are more erratic now than when I first came off, just would have thought there'd be some improvement by now Angry

Cookie22 · 07/08/2016 11:35

Sorry to hear of AF Claire Sad looks like I spoke too soon and my happiness was short lived. AF is now here too. Gutted Sad xx

ClaireSunflower · 07/08/2016 12:03

cookie so sorry hun, hope you're ok xx

Cookie22 · 07/08/2016 16:36

Thanks Claire, hope you're ok too lovely xx

LuciBee231015 · 07/08/2016 20:01

Ah sorry to those who got a visit from AF... Bitch!

So I'm day 7 off the pill. Had brown spotting on day 5 and 6 and now nothing. So on cm watch for now. My ov testing strips came today so when I see cm change I will do some of those to see if anything is happening.

I did one today just because I wanted to see what it was like 🙈 ...it was negative (obviously). Just got a bit excited! Ha!

As far as post pill symptoms go, not really had anything... Early days though.

Hope everyone else is ok xx

Loulabelle1990 · 07/08/2016 20:27

Sunny it's so so nice to hear from you. So happy for you and DH having a little girl. How lovely. I cannot wait to be in the same boat as you, hopefully not waiting too long!

Cookie - I am glad your LP is longer this cycle, this must be a good sign! Fx the results of your scan come back all okay - just read AF came today - so sorry to hear that Hunnie. Hope your okay CakeWineFlowers

Sorry AF got you Claire. Onwards and upwards to the next cycle I guess!

Luci you are lucky not to have had any symptoms !! I got symptoms like straight away. Maybe your lucky and won't have any xx

sarahhh1984 · 07/08/2016 21:58

So envious of your lack of post-pill symptoms, Luci! Last month (my first off the pill) my nipples became unbearably painful almost immediately and stayed that way until just before AF started. It made dtd very difficult as I had to ask DH to not touch my boobs! And speaking of boobs, they massively inflated after my withdrawal bleed so none of my bras fitted - although they deflates again once AF started.

Luckily, neither symptom has happened this cycle (yet!) so hoping it was just pill withdrawal. In fact no symptoms this cycle at all except some cramps here and there - but I'm really making an effort not to symptom spot so I'm dismissing most things as my imagination so as not to work myself up.

Sorry to everyone who got there AF/BFN. Fx for you next cycle. x

BoBo90 · 08/08/2016 07:09

Yay Sunny! Lovely to hear from you! Congratulations on have a little fidgety miss in there! 😄 I'm glad you're having a good pregnancy as enjoying it all 😊 Hopefully we will all be joining you and Chapman soon xxx

Claire sorry about af - fx next cycle will be a luckier one!!

Cookie I'm really sorry about af, I thought this was going to be your month when I read your first post about being 9dpo! At least the longer lp is a positive to take from that cycle! And you can focus on your dr appointment now.
Have you been trying for a year yet? I think you're a month or so ahead of me? I find these days instead of looking forward to trying each month I'm just waiting to hit that year mark so I can go back to the gp for tests!

Good luck for this week Lou! We need another preggo for our list 😉

Oh and I can't remember who asked but I can use my emojis when I post from my phone 😄 But on laptop I just have the normal mumsnet ones X

Loulabelle1990 · 08/08/2016 07:44

Morning ladies hope your all okay today?

Fx this is your cycle bobo and you don't have to visit your GP! I use my phone with the app maybe that's why the emoji keyboard doesn't work for me?

Due to me being so chilled out this cycle I didn't realise AF should in fact be due tomorrow if I am having a normal 33 day cycle. Usually I get loads of spots before AF but haven't got them yet so maybe I am going to be late? I'm not sure when to test! Last cycle was 33, before that was 36 and before that one was 33 again...

marmitecheesetoast · 08/08/2016 08:17

That's a good sign lou, that's a bit what I was like last week. Was suddenly like, oh I could probably do an IC just to see, I'd forgotten I was at this stage....Oh!! Fx for you. Are you going to try and hold out testing another day or so or gonna poas?! Grin have you got any other symptoms?

Sorry for AF cookie and claire WineChocolate

I think I may be approaching the sicky phase...

I hope you guys don't mind me hanging out here still, it's such early days yet, I feel like I still belong on this side of things. Just taking each day as it comes. Going home at the weekend to see parents and for this bridesmaid dress shopping trip... I'm not sure I'm going to be able to keep it from my mum and dad with the no drinking and if this gagging and queasiness continues!! Also slightly concerned by prospect of sitting on train for 4 hours to get there. Have ordered some sick bags on Amazon this morning Grin

Loulabelle1990 · 08/08/2016 08:37

Good morning marmite Smile. I hope your sickness doesn't get too bad! I wouldn't be able to keep it from my mum, I have decided I will tell her and DH parents and that's it until I am past my 12 weeks (when it happens!). I mainly want them to know in case anything does go wrong then I have them for support.

I have sore boobs which I always get before AF anyway but is usually break out in loads of spots and I haven't so far which is making me think maybe I am just late? What do you think?

I am going to try and hold out testing until the weekend. I don't have any ics and only the free ones so don't want to waste any!!

Yes please do stay on this thread marmite! It will be so lovely to hear your stories and progression and symptoms! xx

Cookie22 · 08/08/2016 09:55

Thanks ladies, I'm feeling ok because I know I've got my gp appointment next mon anyways. I just know, deep down, that something isn't right so hopefully I'll get some answers from the ultrasound results!

Good luck Lou, all our hopes rest on you this week now lol. Your symptoms sound promising!

Marmite, definitely stay here Mrs. Sorry to hear you're feeling sicky but it must also feel strangely reassuring to know you have pregnancy symptoms so early on. Hope the bridesmaid shopping (and train journey) goes without a hitch!

Aw thanks Bobo hun. Any sign of ov yet? Are you doing OPKs or is it another cold turkey? We're so close together in terms of months trying but I think you might be a month behind! We're still the OAP's of this thread though Grin well to be honest I actually told a wee white lie to my gp as I couldn't face waiting a year for tests when I had those ov pains. I initially visited in March and said I'd came off the pill last April (when it was in fact last Aug Blush). That got the ball rolling though as everything is just so sloooow! So now they think I've been trying for 16 months Blush oh well, I'm sure others have done much worse than my fibs!! Feeling nervous about my ultrasound results but looking forward to hopefully having some answers/treatment Smile xx

Piehunter · 08/08/2016 10:09

Aspirin is normally advised if you have a history of recurrent miscarriages or have a blood disorder, I inject a blood thinner twice a day as I have an autoimmune blood disorder and after my appt with obstetric haematology next week I expect to be advised to take a baby aspirin too. There are lots of articles about aspirin being the magic fix for recurrent miscarriages but best to do it under the advise of a Dr.

luci 7 days off pill with no symptoms sounds like a good start, mine kicked in by day 3 and the fact you have had some spotting shows that the hormone levels are coming down.

cookie think telling them a couple of extra months when NHS is sooo slow is totally reasonable! I've been waiting since March for my specialist haematology appt and i expected to have to wait longer tbh!

Hope your ultrasound gives some useful answers :)

Cookie22 · 08/08/2016 11:10

Thanks Piehunter, it's all so slow isn't it?! It's now officially a year since I came off the pill so I don't feel as bad about the wee white lie now! Has your appointment came through yet? I visited my friend on Friday who had endometriosis (which I believe I could possibly have as our symptoms are identical!). She has given me details of her private doctor as her initial tests came back clear and it wasn't until her private laparoscopy that the endo was detected. It was £500 but, 2 kids later, worth every penny in her mind! Xx

HighHopes16 · 08/08/2016 11:43

Morning all, I had my first boozy night out since my miscarriage on Fri so my weekend was a write off!
Also got my ultrasound appointment for next Monday - when they confirmed my miscarriage they said they could see cysts on my ovaries so suspected PCOS - does anyone else on this thread have that??

Would love to see resident preggo's new baby photos when they arrive- Who will be the first??

Piehunter · 08/08/2016 18:10

cookie my appt is next Monday, 6 months after first asking for referral, so not the longest I've waited for a consultant appt! It does seem to be tricky to get an ex-lap on NHS without waiting years.. May be easier if you manage to get referred to the right people- endo specialist?- but it's tough to find them in the first place to know who to ask to be referred to!

highhopes I had a very "cystic" right ovary on my last CT scan (for other abdo issues) but my understanding is that Cysts alone don't always indicate pcos and normally don't affect fertility, they're normal at certain points in cycle? That was what bowel Dr told me but I do mean to follow up with gp to make sure they don't need re-checking? The joys of the female body Grin

Jjspoon · 08/08/2016 21:40

Trying to catch up! Where is everyone, who's next to test?

Sorry for af cookie but good about the longer lp, fx for next month as that's definately much better.

Sorry af got you too claire

sarah where are you in your cycle? Sorry if you've recently said but I can't skip through pages on my phone without losing my post, so annoying!

loula sounding good for you! There's no way I could wait until the weekend, you must be a chilled lady lol.

highhopes well done for only having one boosy night since mc, I've been making the most of it again haha, think I need to stop again now though and start getting back in the zone. Boo. Fx everything is OK for you at the scan, like *piehunter said I'm sure that it's nothing to worry about and lots of people have them without it being a bad thing.

HighHopes16 · 08/08/2016 21:48

Thanks Pie & Jj hopefully it's nothing but will be nice to get it checked out anyway. My gp asked if I had irregular cycles as that can be another sign of pcos but I don't remember my cycles pre the pill (I went on it at 16!)
Still no sign of AF and m/c was 5 weeks ago - have you had yours get Jjspoon?

Jjspoon · 08/08/2016 22:14

Yeah definately good to get it checked out and without this coming across wrong at least you'll be able to get it checked out now rather than months down the road if something is amiss. Hope that doesn't come across cold as obviously you would have rather not needed to have the scan. I'm sure you'll be fine though x. My mc was only 3 weeks ago so nothing yet, cd24 today counting from first day of bleeding. It's crap isn't it not knowing what's going on as this cycle could be longer or shorter than usual. I think if you still had pregnancy hormones in your system for a while after you wouldn't ovulate though so it could be longer because of that delayed ovulation? Did you do tests after and when did you get bfn?

HighHopes16 · 09/08/2016 06:26

Yeah I did tests every week and only got a negative last Monday (4 weeks after m/c) don't think I've ovulated yet so could be a few more weeks till AF I guess?
No I know what you mean x

sarahhh1984 · 09/08/2016 06:59

Hi Jj! I'm on cd22 at the moment, thanks for asking. Smile Think I ov'd around cd14 or 15 due to cramps. Had some cramping yesterday and the day before as well but not really any other symptoms so just seeing what happens and continuing to dtd every other day.

Last cycle AF showed on the 29th day so my plan is to see if she rears her head and only test if she's not here by cd31. Fx I can make myself wait if that's the case! Just don't want to be setting myself up for any disappointment by testing early and then AF showing. Also, can't afford all the tests!

Trying to be really chilled about it because if we don't conceive this cycle or next cycle we have to take a break from ttc until about February as we have a family trip planned next September for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary and we wouldn't want to be taking a super new baby or be going while I was 9 months pregnant! So just want to stay as unstressed as possible in the hope that I'll conceive now and we'll be able to tell my parents we'll be bringing their first grandchild along!

How have you been doing? Been lurking on the thread but fairly irregularly so don't think I've been seeing every post. xx

Jjspoon · 09/08/2016 18:15

Yes highhopes could be... but I think everything can be a bit crazy first cycle after mc anyway so who knows what might happen for us this month unfortunately.

Hey sarah ooh we will probably be testing around the same time then if no af! I also ovd around cd 15, cd25 today and 29 day cycle before so I will test on the weekend if nothing by then. I highly doubt I caught it though as only dtd once over ovulation, mainly I'm just waiting for af so I can get back to trying properly and knowing what my body is doing as all a bit limbo at the moment. Fx for you, that would a lovely surprise if you had a bambino to take with you!
