Well if I am having a 33 day cycle AF would be due next weds so sometime next week! I know it can be a pg symptom too which is why it's so frustrating every month that its an ad symptom I get too!

How do you get your emoji keyboard to work on here bobo? I can't do it Sad xxx

Purpleviola14 · 05/08/2016 20:54

Hi ladies, sorry for being off the radar recently, I'm in the 'trying not to worry but secretly worrying' gang.

How are we all?

Cookie hope you get some answers on Monday.
Marmite did you have any symptoms?

What do you girls think about lack of sore boobs after ovulation? I normally get really sore boobs and sensitive nipples just before ov and right up until AF but this cycle I've had nothing. Currently about 2dpo I think.

Had a right going on today. Picked up prescription for uti, googled what the doc had given me and it was an antibiotic unsafe for pregnancy! So went back into boots and they told me to get a store own brand cystitis relief, got home and that's unsafe too! Like wat the!? Seriously if I hadn't have looked I would have taken them. Just got back from emergency out of hours where they have given me safe ttc antibiotics. Dear me. Hmm

marmitecheesetoast · 05/08/2016 21:20

Oh no purple what a nightmare! Utis are the worst at the best of times never mind all that Envy

I would say don't trust the boobs... Mine still feel totally normal Hmm Re symptoms, things that were easily explainable away as I was trying not to be a symptom spotter! Was very tried but had been really busy and work was crazy. My tummy had been a bit off for a few days, but I have ibs so just put it down to stress at work. I felt mildly hot and lightheaded a few times on Wednesday but just put it down to standing up too quickly (but I think that started to maybe sow a seed subconsciously) and then had also been quite bloated and windy since the weekend which I thought maybe was AF starting up tricks early. Have also had sort of constant mild tummy ache like the start of AF. So really nothing totally obvious and all easily attributable to being busy/AF! Such a tricky business this ttc/AF business.

DH is away for the weekend, talk about terrible timing. Feeling quite alone with this crazy secret news.

Who's next to test?

Jjspoon · 05/08/2016 22:04

Welcome looby! My first af after the pill was lighter and shorter than I thought I'd would be too. Same as you I went on the pill at 15 for really heavy long periods so bad I didn't get out of bed for a few days and in agony but I'm also hoping they won't go back like that! I also had bad migraines when I was on the pill and haven't had one since (3 months now) so that's good.

.... I can't look at the next page on my phone without losing this message so hold on lol....

Jjspoon · 05/08/2016 22:09

Luci take bobos advice and go by cm and dtd often until you know what's going on!
And marmite I've already congratulated you on the other thread but congrats again lol.

I find it so hard to keep up with everything on here on my phone as can't type a reply and look through pages...

marmitecheesetoast · 05/08/2016 22:22

Thanks JJ! Grin

LuciBee231015 · 05/08/2016 22:56

Right so I'm on cm watch!! Lol. Thanks girls x

Purpleviola14 · 05/08/2016 23:05

Thanks marmite*, sounds like you had a pretty normal time with things.
Have you told any of your close family yet? Bet it's soo hard to keep it secret!

Welcome luci* fx your cycles sort themselves quickly for you 😀

Pesky* how are you getting on lovely?

Lou* how many Dpo are you? Sounds like you are at a similar stage to me, I'll be fur AF next Friday/Saturday.

Loulabelle1990 · 05/08/2016 23:10

Yeah look out for EWCM luci, can't go wrong!

Purple I've no idea how many DPO I am as I had a cold turkey cycle but started getting EWCM last Monday. I probably won't test till next weekend if AF doesn't show up before then! Ovia says due next sat but I can't see how that's right!

ClaireSunflower · 06/08/2016 07:37

marmite massive congratulations lady! So happy for you! That's amazing news Smile

I am 8dpo and noticed some spotting this morning which is a little worrying. Don't want to go back to a 7day luteal phase! I'm a bit worried cos I've been taking low dose aspirin since ovulation as it's supposed to help implantation but after doing some googling it can apparently shorten the luteal phase and mine is already v.short! Feel like an idiot now for taking it. Going to get rid of and swap the pregnancare for seven seas and see if that helps next month (although still crossing my fingers for a bfp!)

sarahhh1984 · 06/08/2016 08:04

Welcome looby! Looks like you're just slightly ahead of me in this ttc business - I came off the pill late June.

My first period off the pill ended up pretty much the same as what I was having before I went on the pill: lasting 7 looooong days! On the pill my withdrawal bleed was only 4-5 days!

But at least a 7 day period gives me less time to think about pg symptoms etc.! Smile

Purpleviola14 · 06/08/2016 09:06

Claire* maybe you just have late implantation?

Lou well done on the will power for cold turkey, bet you feel so much better for it, the time seems to go much quicker when you arnt analysing the hell out of yourself doesn't it? Smile

Jjspoon · 06/08/2016 09:30

claire Do NOT take aspirin hun! It can cause miscarriage if taken during conception and when pregnant..... so can ibuprofen. Paracetamol is the only safe painkiller in pregnancy. I don't want to worry you but please stop!

Jjspoon · 06/08/2016 09:35

I've just Googled it and that's crazy that a few articles are saying it can help prevent miscarriage and others are saying it causes miscarriage. My midwife advised definately not to take it. Like this ttc business wasn't confusing enough without mixed advice, they obviously don't know I guess.

Loulabelle1990 · 06/08/2016 09:36

Oh purple I do love the cold turkey cycle! No worrying about flashing smiley faces on an opk and just doing it when we want to. So much less stressful, I am so much more relaxed about it all! And like you say it makes the time go so much quicker and not on my mind half as much. Have you tried going cold turkey?

ClaireSunflower · 06/08/2016 09:39

Thanks jjspoon I didn't know that. There's loads of people that say take it for ttc and loads that say don't, but I am not going to take any more just in case! So much conflicting advice when you are ttc, it's a minefield isn't it!

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 09:57

I haven't told anyone yet purple, it's so hard not to say anything though! I think I need a little more time to get my head around first anyway. But I am visiting my parents next weekend and I know they will find it very unusual when I don't have any wine...Hmmm. I'm also going bridesmaid dress shopping at the weekend, one of my oldest friends is getting married. The wedding day is around two weeks before what I think my due date would be. At the other side of the country. Not sure what I should do?! I don't really want to tell her yet but then if we buy dresses at the weekend that I probably won't be wearing...what should I do??!

claire I also thought maybe implantation bleed when I read that? I know it's confusing with so much information and advice out there, that we don't always know what's reputable. That's why I decided to take no supplements or anything other than folic acid and eating as healthy and varied a diet with loads of fruit and veg and good fats as I could. It is tempting to try different things though I know!

loulou great work on the cold turkey cycle! I did nothing but OPKs this cycle. I think if I ever did temps and charting I would go full blown crazy lady! Hope you manage to keep staying chilled and relaxed about it all! I don't really know what to do with myself now today..,

Purpleviola14 · 06/08/2016 10:41

claire as jjspoon said, when I saw the doc last night he also mentioned the only thing you should take is paracetamol but only if you really need to. I didn't even know about the ibuprofen being unsafe either.

lou haha even listening to you is making me chilled! Yes I've been doing cold turkey too, how great is it 😊 I did do one temp a few days ago just to confirm I've ovd naughty me. But next month I'm not doing anything at all.
It's still been hard though as there are 3 girls all of at work so hard to take my mind off things.

marmite that is a tricky one! My sister was due 2 weeks before I got married so we went for the option of a lace up back with modesty panel. That way there's much more give there as you've no idea whether you will pop back to normal size, plus the last thing you wanna do after just giving birth is squeezing into a dress. Maybe lay it on thick that you love that style of dress? Haha

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 11:23

Hahah thanks purple, though it's two weeks before I'd be due!! So I'd be about to drop! I don't know what to do! It's very early day yet, but feel bad her spending money if I can't fit in it/maybe won't even be a bridesmaid anymore??!!

Tommygirl10 · 06/08/2016 11:26

Congratulations Marmite! It's so exciting to see a bfp!
LuciBee i remember feeling quite anxious when I came off the pill, panicking about whether I was even fertile etc. I'm on cycle 4 now and feel much calmer. It is a waiting game but just watch and wait and you will fine. I started off using CB OV tests but bought one step ones from Amazon which are much cheaper and I was able to track OV that way. But I didn't track until last cycle just so I could let my body settle into a routine. I think I panicked last month that I might not be ovulating but felt much calmer when I had a positive OV test. Good luck and enjoy the anticipation of it all.

I'm currently in FW. Not dtd as much as I'd like but going to Australia for two weeks next week so not putting too much pressure on anything. I can imagine I will be less calm for september cycle though. Hmm

Good luck to all the tww'ers! Grin x

looby1304 · 06/08/2016 11:39

So I've just had a BBT thermometer delivered, and am in two minds whether to use it. I don't know if it's good to track to have an idea of what's going on, or if it's going to make me slightly obsessed with temps and symptom spotting! What's everyone's views/experience of tracking their temps?

Jjspoon · 06/08/2016 12:23

Hey looby I only started temping 2 weeks ago and still have no clue. Mine are all over the place so not telling me anything lol. To be honest though I probably wont continue it for long as my cycles are regular so I know roughly when I ovulate every month so there's probably not any point for me I just thought it was interesting so wanted to give it a go. If your cycles aren't regular though it's another tool to help you plan.

looby1304 · 06/08/2016 14:04

Thanks jjspoon. I think I'm going to give it a go this cycle, more just to get in the habit of doing it rather than to analyse it too much. Then if I need to do it and look at it more closely next cycle I'll already be in the habit.
So much for the "we'll just see what happens" approach I was going for - it's so hard not to get obsessed with it all!

Loulabelle1990 · 06/08/2016 21:54

Oh I couldn't do temping either, it's just another thing to add to the mix and I would definitely drive myself crazy with it so it's not worth it!!

Ladies - i went to Ascot today and I have had 3 drinks. Do you think this is bad being in the tww?? I feel awful now just in case BlushSad.

BoBo90 · 06/08/2016 22:50

Don't panic Lou, nothing is passed on to baby until about week 6 so you are safe 😄 Xx
