Hi all

Sorry for lack of personals, on phone, proper reply to follow

Feeling lots happier now having seen my nice consultant who was able to situate the HyCoSy results in context, as well as generally not be a massive twat like the Dr who did the procedure

He's not worried about the adenomyosis, says if there even is anything it's very mild and won't affect fertility. The HyCoSy was so he could see if there was blood that was flowing back into the fallopian tubes instead of out where it was supposed to and he's happy it isn't. He said my body appears to have absorbed the lining and things are looking good without any clots or tissue

So all good to start an HRT cycle - which is essentially a mock FET. Trial run so we can see how my lining responds, and (please, please) hopefully induce a withdrawal bleed. I've started Progynova today, and go back for a lining scan in a week. Lucky me will get the indignity of the Cyclogest just as a diagnostic exercise!! Desperately hoping my uterus decides to cooperate for once, so we can get off the starting block and actually have a crack at the real thing...

Everything crossed banana.

lucieloos · 01/07/2016 14:24

Yes that's what I've done Sammy. I might just stick with the Ovitrelle as its easier as I can order it from Czech. I was just wondering whether it was worth trying the Pregnyl and if it might help mature the eggs better?!

Banana, that's great news, glad that your consultant was able to put your mind at rest. Hope the trial run goes well and you can get started soon.

Lucie - I called round the supermarkets from home one evening. I found it easier than driving round them all and having a discussion at the counter. I usually emailed the prescription as well to make sure they would accept it before I drove there to order.

I got the inquisition from asda initially but they gave in. Tesco seemed to think I was dodgy too at first (but the pharmasist there wa just moody so and so). The supermarkets in the more ethically mixed areas of my town were better!! They all said they get a large number of prescriptions for Europe so what you are asking for is not new or unique.

Good luck :)

Borisisback · 01/07/2016 14:39

Banana it's getting exciting again. Good luck :) xx

lucieloos · 01/07/2016 14:51

Ohh that's a good idea Boris! Did they give you the email address when you rang them?

Banana - glad you got some answers from your consultant, he seems awesome! Fx for an extremely heavy AF for you off the back of this. How long will you have to use the cyclogest for?

Lucie - the nurse I questioned about the change from pregnyl to ovitrelle said that actually they work exactly the same, and they only tended to use pregnyl before the shortage because it was cheaper. So if it makes life easier then I'd say stick with ovitrelle.

Borisisback · 01/07/2016 15:12

Lucie - yes I asked for an email address so I could send the prescription over to make sure they were happy.

loopylou1984 · 01/07/2016 15:36

Girls - is it normal that it hurts to stand up/walk? I mean I had this last time, but then got OHSS so I'm panicking that this is the start of that.

maplebaby · 01/07/2016 18:22

Hi all - sorry for being AWOL for a week! I was on holiday for a few days and then kind of avoided MN / google the rest of the time as I was feeling sorry for myself after a 3rd baby bomb Sad

So, let me try and catch up! Sorry if my comments are about something you wrote last week!

Brenna can't believe what your colleague said. Especially when you see her weekly! Hope she felt sufficiently ashamed after you had the convo. Sorry you have to wait so long for the bloods too. Hope you enjoy yourself at the wedding!

Sammy congrats on EC! Hope you are feeling alright. And great news on lining! What dose of floradix did you take and was it everyday?

Mrsren welcome and I'm sorry you find yourself here. It doesn't get any easier unfortunately but you are in the right place! It is a very lonely thing to go through but the support of the ladies on here is brilliant. I hope your GP appointment goes well.

MPP hurrah for moving date! I remember how stressful it all was! It's all go for you at the moment!

Lucie welcome back and hope you had a fab holiday!

Trixie glad to hear the scratch went well! Fingers crossed AF stays away!

Banana bloody hell sorry about what happened at the Hycosy - wtf is going on. And the AMH results!! Glad you are feeling happier. Hoping it all goes well with the HRT cycle.

Boris congratulation! A baby boy - are you thinking of names?

AFM I had my appointment with the nurse today! Basically just info on the IUI / clomid etc and signing consent forms. Had to do the HIV etc bloods again as the other ones were over 3 months old. I asked about my lining and she said it was "thin" when I had my baseline scan on CD13 (a few months ago)... That's not good is it?! I ovulated (according to temps) on CD18 last cycle. Also progesterone was "high" after ovulation so no answers on my spotting... To be honest I don't think she knew much. She said on CD1 of my next cycle to call and told me I should mention my light periods / spotting again then as they may do more scans to check lining etc.

Can't wait for AF to start now (not until around 23rd July, currently on CD11) to get started (or for ironidiff before IUI)! I bought the CB digital ovulation tests today (£47 for 20!!) so will give them a whirl this month.

Was strange as DH and I were in the queue at boots buying them and this lady was sat waiting for her prescriptions and I think she thought I had pregnancy tests. She called out to me and was like "you know there's a clinic round the corner that tests" I just said thanks for letting me know and she said "just thought it might save you money - good luck!" Hmm way to draw attention to me! She wasn't exactly sat nearby and there were other people in the queue!

loopylou1984 · 02/07/2016 10:57

We've only got 2 fertilised out of the 9. I'm so disappointed. What if neither of them make it?

Brenna - 10ml of fliradix am and pm. X

lucieloos · 02/07/2016 11:49

Oh no Sammy! Have they given you any reason for that? Were the eggs not mature or is it a sperm problem? Did they use icsi? I know how it feels to only have 2 fertilised lovely. It's a rollercoaster I have to admit but I've always got 1-2 to blast so there's every chance you will too. Big hugs xx

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 02/07/2016 11:53

3 weren't mature, 2 didn't fertilise and 2 fertilised abnormally. Right now I just feel like this has all been for nothing. I've got the best lining I've ever had and may well have nothing to put back. I don't think I'm ever going to be a mum. Not to my own biological children anyway.

loopylou1984 · 02/07/2016 11:54

How have you don't this so many times Lucie? I'm totally wiped out by it all.

lucieloos · 02/07/2016 12:22

Sammy, if you need to go again I would definitely ask about icsi if you have 4 out of 6 not fertilising properly. It's hard isn't it but I want children so I guess I feel there's no other option but to keep going. The only other choice is to stop and accept we won't have children or to move onto donor eggs and I'm not ready for that yet. I keep setting myself goals. At the moment we have one chromosomally normal embryo which they have given me around a 65% success rate with so I'm quite pleased with that. I want to try this mini IVF maybe twice over the next couple of months to see if we could possibly get another normal embryo to take the pressure off a little and then we have our two untested blasts and an NHS go so I feel like we have options but because we only get such a small number of eggs and only one blast per cycle I don't feel overly optimistic either but then I know so many people who have only had one blast and it's worked and even my day 3 embryo implanted so we have to stay hopeful. Don't give up on those 2 that you have. They could be really good quality and I'm sure you will get something out of this round. It's such a rollercoaster but try not to stress too much. Remember you have frosties too.

OP posts:
Brenna24 · 02/07/2016 12:51

Big hugs Sammy. You still have a chance with 2 of them. Flowers Are you still in pain today?

loopylou1984 · 02/07/2016 13:10

I'm not in so much pain now Brenna, but have started feeling nauseous. I've had to give in and take an anti sickness tablet.

Lucie, you're right, and I won't be able to give up either. I want children. I know one of these two could be my baby, and I'm trying to be positive for them. I just feel so sad. I can't stop crying. Poor DH doesn't know what to do.

I just want to sleep until Monday. I have to go to work Monday morning so will be getting the update call there. Then will have to leave if we're having a day 3 transfer.

If at least one makes it and we get to transfer then it won't feel like I've put myself through this not nothing. If nothing makes it what do you think the chances of them letting us convert it to a private cycle and using a frostie are? My lining is 8mm, something has to go in there.

lucieloos · 02/07/2016 13:19

Sammy, I'm pretty confident both of your embryos will make it to day 3 no problem. From what I've seen once fertilised only a small number won't make it that far. If I were you I would push for a day 3 transfer of both embryos. I think it's worth trying a day 3 transfer just as another thing to tick off the list. You might find it works better for you and be pleasantly surprised. It seemed to work well for me in terms of implantation. I don't think you will need to have a frostie transferred but there's no harm in asking. I can't see why they wouldn't unless they can't mix private and NHS cycle or something silly like that.

OP posts:
Brenna24 · 02/07/2016 13:19

It has to be worth asking about.

lucieloos · 02/07/2016 13:20

Could you call in sick on Monday or somehow take the day off?

OP posts:
Borisisback · 02/07/2016 14:14

Sammy - I'm so sorry life is so cruel sometimes. I'm praying your two on to day three. Hope your discomfort and sickness eased off too. Lots of love to you and your dh. Flowers

LemonDrizzler · 02/07/2016 15:22

Sammy I'm so sorry things are so hard for you. I really hope all goes well and you get to transfer on Monday. Don't give up yet. I really hate that hopeless feeling - it's horrible. Hope you can hide away this weekend and look after yourself. X

Itsme247 · 02/07/2016 15:53

Sorry to hear you are feeling low Sammy, It's so tough but you got two in there doing their thing. I'll be thinking of you the next couple of days x

MrsRen · 02/07/2016 17:25

I've got my fingers crossed for you Sammy Flowers

beanhunter · 02/07/2016 20:28

Fingers crossed sammy. 2 is still good. Because of our total fertilisation failure if we go again it's icsi for us.
