Oh dear I had my first injection mess up today with the menopur, as I was pushing it into the second powder it just practically exploded out of the syringe onto the floor..

I don't want to fess up to the nurse that I've wasted an injection!

I'm just really drowsy, feel a bit of nausea about 20mins to an hour after the injection but my head is just in this fog.

So excited for you Sammy, I'll be a week behind (my trigger is next Saturday) all being well! At one of my best friends wedding!!

loopylou1984 · 30/06/2016 21:16

Itsme - if you don't confess are you going to have enough?
Is your trigger ovitrelle too? Xx

Borisisback · 30/06/2016 21:32

Itsme - I'll bet the nurse is used to that confession. Hope you got / have enough of the drugs.

Itsme247 · 30/06/2016 21:47

I think I might be OK, I've got ten days left? I'll tell her anyway when I go for my first scan, they might want to change my dose anyway!

Yep my trigger is Ovitrelle too. Do

loopylou1984 · 01/07/2016 08:42

I only used 1 of my 2 menopur bottles, so you might be fine. Check with her anyway, she won't care.

In the waiting room now for egg collection. Feeling quite bloated this morning so looking forward to getting the eggs out of me! Just hope they don't find signs of OHSS in there Confused

lucieloos · 01/07/2016 08:46

Good luck today Sammy x

Good luck sammy x

Brenna24 · 01/07/2016 09:34

Best of luck Sammy. Everything crossed for you.

MPP81 · 01/07/2016 09:36

Congrats on the award Sammy even though the timing sucks! And good luck today! Thinking of you.

Itsme247 · 01/07/2016 10:16

Good luck Sammy! I can only imagine how nice it would be to be free of the egg factory feeling!

JustTrixie · 01/07/2016 12:34

Hope it went well today Sammy.

I'm sure the nurse won't bat an eyelid Itsme. I wasted a dose of my gonal f last time but had enough, I think they factor in the odd mishap.

lucieloos · 01/07/2016 12:44

Boris, congrats on the scan! Brilliant news. Just wanted to ask where you got your Pregnyl from? I'm going to try it this time around and they can't send if from Czech as it needs to be kept refrigerated. I know some have got their meds from supermarkets although with mixed success and was just wondering what you did?

Hi girls, just got home.

9 eggs collected, lining 8mm!

They will call tomorrow with fertilisation results. Just hope we have something to transfer. They had a nightmare trying to get a cannula in, the consultant had to do it in the end.

Had Accupuncture afterwards, and am absolutely shattered now. Feeling a bit sore too.

loopylou1984 · 01/07/2016 13:03

Lucie - my pregnyl last time was from healthcare at home. They deliver to you.

star1980 · 01/07/2016 13:20

Congratulations sammy! Good luck for the next few days.

Waves to everyone else. Hope all's going well. I'm still going but avoiding mumsnet to try and limit the craziness.

lucieloos · 01/07/2016 13:37

Brilliant news Sammy that's a nice number and lining is great. Will they measure it again before transfer? Hope it keeps getting thicker. I can't order from healthcare at home as I don't think they will take Czech prescriptions unfortunately. How did they deliver if it has to be kept cold out of interest?

Fantastic Sammy. I hope the next stage goes well too.

bananafish81 · 01/07/2016 13:43

Amazing news Sammy!!!

bananafish81 · 01/07/2016 13:44

BTW all my drugs from healthcare @ home came in a chiller box with cool paks for the Gonal-F and Ovitrelle

Bloody massive boxes for small boxes of drugs

loopylou1984 · 01/07/2016 13:44

Thank you both.

Lucie - I think once you start progesterone the lining tends to compact a bit. But apparently it's the thickness at EC that really matters.

The van is refrigerated, and you have to put the box straight in the fridge when it arrives. Xx

lucieloos · 01/07/2016 13:55

Ah that's good, I think they used to accept Czech prescriptions but not anymore I don't think. Sounds like everything is going well for you this cycle. Really hope this is the one!

Lucie - I got the prognyl from Sainsburys in the end, but Asda also had it and could get it cheaper (but not fast enough - reprofit forgot to send me the prescription in time).

Ali's pharmacy also could get it.

Alis will happily accept an emailed prescription but we're more expensive. The supermarket need an original prescription posted from reprofit.

ali's pharmacy obviously post it so you may have the cold storage issue with them?

My local Tesco could also get the drug but were expensive and were a bit of a pain about it being a foreign prescription.

I'd reccomend shopping around!

ASDA and sainsburys both had to order it in for me so it took 48 hours to get it.

I didn't get syringes and needles with mine - I should have ordered then separately. In the end I got my needles from the needle exchange in our local red light district.... Ask about needles when you order....

It was a bit of a hassle with the supermarkets but Asda were definitely the cheapest option and the best - just get the order in in good time.

Borisisback · 01/07/2016 14:06

Sammy such great news. :) xx

lucieloos · 01/07/2016 14:09

Ok thanks Boris I've been nervous about using the supermarkets as I know some people have had no problems and others have had an inquisition off them and treated really badly and told they can't accept the prescription. I should probably go and try my local tesco though.

Ali's don't have it they are out of stock and I read somebody mention something about a national shortage. Ali's can't send it cold either.

I have a huge bag full of all different types of needles and syringes from all my different treatments so at least that's one thing I don't have to worry about.

Lucie - can you ask your clinic for a back up prescription for a different trigger just in case? Xx
