Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Snarky I know what you mean. I'm currently cycle 10, never imagined getting pregnant would be this hard!!

Currently cd 26, normally 28 day cycles. I'm not going to test until I'm actually late, just gonna wait for the bitch to show up. Nothing feels different this month to any other month.

Went to a friends child's 1st birthday yesterday. Lots of babies and so cute and so much fun, but now feeling quite bereft.

SuchaJem · 13/06/2016 00:51

Snarky and lovely - was going to write a very similar post myself. On cycle 6 and feel like AF is coming. Starting to feel really low and somewhat despairing about it, like it might not ever happen. Am aware the more I stress the less likely it is to happen, but the longer this goes on the more I want it and the more upset I get.

Keep telling myself it is normal to take couples up to a year. Really hope we don't have to wait that long.

Modestandatinybitsexy · 13/06/2016 16:12

Hi can I join? I'm pretty terrible at keeping up with threads but could use some support and you guys seem like a right scrumptious bunch.

Stats
Age: 27
TTC #1
Cycle number ?? (Over 2 years, lost count!)
CD 38 (PB Personal Worst 40 days)

I'm holding out to test. AF seems to know the minute I actually believe I might be pg and then waves the red flag.

SuchaJem · 13/06/2016 16:30

Hi modest yes jump on board. Sorry you've been waiting so long.

How is everyone today? I'm feeling a bit less miserable - yay! Still don't think it's my month but am kind of making my peace with that, and mentally preparing for cycle 7.

kwick · 13/06/2016 16:59

canters I wonder if you are still lurking...I miss you Sad

sucha they say flying can help with implantation... Just saying....

snarky there are ways round poor sperm quality but b4 you explore those maybe it is worthwhile to do a SA? That way you know what you are dealing with?

I understand feeling of despondency - I am right there too - I will be 42 in a few weeks but I WILL NOT ACCEPT THAT MY TIME HAS PASSED!!! I am going to be pregnant with a beautiful healthy baby very soon!

Welcome modest!

WingingIt83 · 13/06/2016 17:02

AF now 2 days late however I keep telling myself that it probably isn't really, and that because I've only monitored cycles in last few months, there's a good chance I've previously had longer cycles anyway.
Saying that my temps have increased significantly over the last week, CM is still there (which Ovia tells me one day is a symptom of conception and another day tells me it's a sign AF arriving!!). Find myself going to the loo for a knicker check at every opportunity.

The temp thing is really confusing me and making my suddenly doubt I ever ovulated in FW (stopped opking after CD19 after I got what I thought was a peak) as I didn't really get a temperature jump after those days, but it's been going up and up since CD25. Had much more cramping than usual in last few days, but now wondering if the added supplements I've thrown at my body since Ov to length luteal phase are causing that and just going to delay AF.

Who knows. I promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot but look at me! How you ladies who've been trying longer are so measured I don't know- I salute you! I think part of my impatience is that we were kind of aiming to get pg at similar time to SIL so the cousins would be close and we'd share maternity leave time, but she's now 13 weeks complete with scan to prove it and it's not like you can catch up with this sort of thing!

FXSkip · 13/06/2016 17:39

Hi All - I'm back bitches Grin

Thanks for asking after me sucha, I was away on my holiday where there was zero wifi, but had an amazing time so its all good - just took me about a week to recover from jetlag and to catch up with you all. Kwick is that true about flying?! I never knew that!

Massive congrats to ever too - such happy news!

Somehow I'm on CD27, with no idea if I OV'd or DTD at the appropriate time due to holidays and last cycles surprise 39day bonanza. Interested to see when AF will rear her ugly head!

LovelyFishy · 13/06/2016 17:41

I'm loving your positive thinking Kwick!

Wing temps going up is a good sign right? Fx for you! Trying to time a pregnancy is a way to go mad. We were aiming for summer but current due date for this month would be late February!

I'm dangerously getting my hopes up... I don't feel pregnant but still got quite a lot of cm for me!

Glad you're feeling a bit better today Jem. Smile

Welcome Modest!

kwick · 13/06/2016 17:45

LOL wing just laughing at trying to catch up IF ONLY this were the case!

fxskip welcome back! It may just be am old wives tale... But this was how I consoled myself after the many IUIs I did as I often then had to jump on a plane...

If any of you want me to repeat the other implantation/2ww tips I have gathered just say the word!

SuchaJem · 13/06/2016 18:05

Kwick God I hope that's the case. I might do a test later or tomorrow. I'm 10 DPO today. Unless starky lurks there is no one to tell me off!

What is an SA by the way?

Ooh wingjng that's promising!! Are you going to test?

Hello skip good to see you! Have missed you BrewCake sounds like a mystery cycle for you, this could be the way forward!

Thanks lovely and fx for you... When are you testing?

Kwick I'm always up for a TWW tip Halo

LovelyFishy · 13/06/2016 19:27

I want to test tomorrow Jem but I think I should hold out if I can... Of course I want a Starky star, but I also don't want the disappointment!!

Kwick share with us your tips! Grin

nicky883 · 13/06/2016 20:24

Welcome modest i hope your long journey ends soon with a long wanted bfp !

Please share any info kwick !

No full blown af yet for me some minor brown spotting again today which is a bit aticky and weird !

kwick · 13/06/2016 21:20

SA = sperm analysis

I feel very guilty now... I have a duty to starky to not entice cray-cray.... Please ALL hold out on testing unless you are well past AF due date!!!

Ok so here is what I did on first IVF cycle and I did get BFP...even if it did not last:
I drank copious amounts of whole fat organic milk in weeks prior to ovulation - this is for egg quality. After ovulation I stopped and went back to normal levels as too much can impede implantation.
For first 5 days of 2ww I ate a fifth of a fresh pineapple each day including the core.
During 2ww I kept feet and kidneys warm at all times
During 2ww I tried to laugh as much as possible
I used a visualisation CD especially for IVF - however even if you are not doing IVF do not under estimate the power of positive thinking/visualisation
For egg quality I was taking COq10, vitamin E, vitamin d, vitamin b complex and eating lots of avocado, walnuts, cinnamon, eggs and other fertility boosting foods and quite a few foods that are not
On day of egg transfer and days after I dosed up on cayenne pepper (yuck!) as said to take blood down to nether regions
That is about it I think...

SuchaJem · 13/06/2016 22:55

What's with the warm feet and kidneys ?

FXSkip · 14/06/2016 04:50

Bloody hell kwick that's a hell of a strange diet (furiously writes shopping list) I've been consuming cheese rolls, beer and tequila for the last few weeks while on TWW so if that works I'll be very surprised.

I'm with kwick and starky - try not to test for as long as possible. Sod's law it won't show +ve until you're in the delivery room anyway (remember choc??) and it will save you a great deal of that apparently awful limbo where you can't tell anyone or do anything. FX for you ladies in limbo land though, all I can say is distract yourself!!

Evergreen17 · 14/06/2016 08:11

Hi ladies

Thanks for all the congratulations Smile

I am still lurking over here and checking my knickers on the hour Blush

HankPeach · 14/06/2016 08:16

wingingit temps going is definately a good sign! Fingers crossed. What supps are you taking to lengthen luteal?

Good luck to all those waiting patiently to testing this week. (Thanks kwick Wink)

I'm 8 dpo today and due Sunday I think. Absolutely no symptoms other than filthy pms...

marmitetoast1 · 14/06/2016 08:19

Morning all! So I have a question - wondering what Ov pains actually feel like?!
I thought (through purely amateur guesswork based on cm and levels of friskiness) that I had already Ov'd at weekend, maybe Saturday. Woke up in the early hours of this morning however with a sort of sharp-ish tugging/twiging pain pretty much right where right ovary would be.
I do suffer from ibs so get lots of weird twingey pains Grin but this felt different and was in different area. I also went to a pilates class last night, so could be a random twingey muscle!
I lay awake with it for about 20 mins. This morning it's eased but still a bit tender and 'pully' feeling in same area. Does this match with what anyone else experiences and knows is Ov pains?
I'm fairly certain I didn't have this last 2 months, but this could well be the first time I've Ov'd post-pill! If that was Ov we do at least still have 3 instances of having dtd in the last 5 days.

marmitetoast1 · 14/06/2016 08:20

Ps hope everyone who is trying to hold off from poas is managing to stay strong!!

bluebird3 · 14/06/2016 08:20

Fx those temps stay high wing

hank I'm 7dpo...I hate this part to the 2ww!

Modestandatinybitsexy · 14/06/2016 09:02

Thanks for all the welcomes! I hope you're all doing well today. Seems like most are in a similar position in your 2ww and I'm keeping everything crossed for you Smile

I'm feeling pretty uncomfortable today. Although I'm on the 5:2 and today is a starve day so that's going to contribute.

I'm trying not to symptom spot but this is the longest my cycle has been for over 6 months now and it's really hard not to get my hopes up!

WingingIt83 · 14/06/2016 09:10

suchajem I'm forcing myself to wait until the weekend when I'd be 4-7 days late. As I think I didn't ov until cd18 it probably wouldn't show up yet anyway.

hank some similar things to kwick above; walnuts, leafy greens, 1000mg vit C, a bit B complex with b6 in it. One thing I've failed on is more cholesterol type foods like butter and eggs -supposed to help boost progesterone.

marmite I get sudden pains almost like a stitch most months which I thought might be ovulation but last month they happened on about cd10 and I didn't get ewcm until cd18

Temps still high this morning, dropped a bit from the peak on Sunday but still higher than rest of cycle.....I don't know whether to think positive and therefore set myself up for disappointment or just assume AF is coming Confused

marmitetoast1 · 14/06/2016 09:48

Yes wingingit that's exactly whatit feels like this morning, a stitch. I'm CD18 and noticed ewcm on CDs 14 and 16. Which I guess roughly fits with my longish cycles? Hmm

Fx re temps winging it I think a positive attitude in general can be a helpful thing, but the flip side as you say is the potential disappointment..

LovelyFishy · 14/06/2016 10:50

Marmite what I assume is my ov pain is a sudden sharp twinge, lasts only a second or too and is gone. I don't feel it every month, it wouldn't be enough to wake me if I was asleep. But again I've always just assumed that's what it is. Maybe it's just gas!!

nicky883 · 14/06/2016 10:53

Dont you kadie think the 1 2 days before expected period are the worst? ! I keep going to the loo checking if the bitch has arrived !not to mention it affects my ability to concentrate at work therefore my productivity as well !
I hate these two days the most such an emotional rollecoaster i never thought making a baby would be this damaging to youe mental health Hmm
