Hi all, thought I would start a new thread before we capped the earlier one. Here's hoping for more laid back BFPs and a bit of OT chat.

Everyone welcome, waiting to try, TTC, not preventing, being hopeful, and trying not to flip the fck out squinting at lines on sticks.

Long time lurker, first time poster here. I've been dying to tell someone Husband and I are ready to start TTC but my husband has sworn me to secrecy! He doesn't want to jinx anything. This will be our first.

We're of the mindset 'let's just see what happens.' This will by cycle one that we're throwing all caution to the wind. We don't want to over complicate things and add extra stress with OPKs, temping and all that jazz. I downloaded Ovia today so will see how that goes. AF is on her way out now so we're eagerly awaiting the fertile window. EXCITING!!

Thanks wispa - I'm not sure I have any symptoms really, just playing the waiting game ugh.

neon the day you start your period is cycle day 1, and the day before you get your next period is your last day of that cycle. Hope that makes sense! Sorry about your BFN.

ready, do you know what CD you ovulated this cycle? If your LP was 14 days last time it will be the same this time most likely.

alexia I did have symptoms and strongly suspected I was pregnant which is why I was so confused about the BFNs as I felt pretty much the same as I did last time! Main thing for me has been random waves of nausea and extreme tiredness. Normally I feel fine in the run-up to AF (I'm lucky not to suffer much with AFs except for the occasional hormonal migraine) which is why I thought i was pregnant as it wasn't normal for me.

I have friends who even after BFP didn't feel any different until about 6 weeks though so symptom spotting can be very misleading.

Thanks guys.it looks like my last few cycles have been 26 to 28 days (haven't checked any further back) and im currently day 27. So what's the best day to test as I'm due around now and im not certain when ill be "late" I've been using Internet cheapies but ive got two clearblue digitals upstairs itching to be used

Unfortunately not wispa, I don't track temps or anything. Just happened to notice it last time.

Welcome lemonlimetonic you're in the same boat as me! TTC #1, I'm on cycle 2 now, CD7 so just waiting for FW too.

Internet cheapie are crap! I used them daily from 9DPO (I'm insane, obviously) because I was away for the weekend and drinking fairly heavily and decided I wouldn't drink if I got a line on a test. 12dpo was yesterday and it was barely a shadow compared to the FRER. These ICs are apparently sensitive to 10miu/ml, the same as FRER. So looking at these it's safe to say a BFN on an IC isn't conclusive in the least.

Hi all, little update. I'm cycle day 25 and not sure how many dpo but at a guess around 11. After a big increase in cwcm today I cracked about an hour ago and did a test, silly I know. Any who, my urine was quite dark/strong as I'd been out all day and not drunk much. I looked after 3 minutes and there is something there . its that faint though, like as faint as you can get I can't help worry its shadowing or something. Its a cheap test from home bargains but says it 10miu/ml . I have another and then a pack of three that are 25miu/ml. I don't want to get my hopes up in case it's an evap or something but its gonna drive me mad! If it was the start of my bfp do you think it would show more by tomorrow? X

Wispa maybe ill crack out my expensive tests then if i havent come on by the morning!

Can't see it at all on the pictures. The more o look the more I see it but the more I think its evap or something. I'll find out in the morning I guess. If its there again or darker I'll get a first response x

Wow I'm so glad I ignored the cheapies on Amazon today and ordered 2 clearblue instead! Is FRER better wispa or equal?

Alexia, it depends which clear blue tests they are, but CBD with the weeks indicator is 25miu/ml. I don't know about the others!

Theresa, I have total line eye, but I think I can see a shadow of something there. Try is a first response?

I'm not sure Theresa, sorry, maybe if I squint I can see something. I would definitely test again tomorrow.

I had the coil out today. I thought I had ovulated a few days ago because I have had EWCM for the last few days. However before I had the coil out the nurse did my smear and it bled quite a lot and so she said she thought my period was about to start. Still spotting now which I guess can be normal after having the coil out. But don't know where I am in my cycle now and not sure what to do. Don't know whether to just start TTC, or if the spotting doesn't turn in to a proper AF, wait until it appears so I know where I am. Anyway just bought some cheap OPKs and downloaded the ovia app to try and see what's going on.

Theresa, I reckon I can see a faint line on the last one. Definitely test with FMU on a frer!

Wispa they're "Clearblue Plus Visual Pregnancy Test Sticks". I do have one CBD hidden under my bed though lol

gin you could start using OPKs or just try bd'ing every other day until you're sure what's happening. Someone else might know more, sorry.

gin, just have lots and lots of sex and then see what happens in terms of AF showing up and cycle tracking. No reason why you can't just crack on now!

I think that's the plan Wispa and I'm sure DH will have no complaints!

OK, its there again. In fact, it was a little easier to spot thus time. Really need to go out and get a first response bit guess what. No money until Friday went holiday clothes shopping yesterday and pretty much spent up lol. I'd tell hubby to buy one but my plan if I got pregnant this month was go keep it a secret and tell him on fathers day! I think I'm gonna do one of the 25miu/ml tests tomorrow morning to see if anything is on there but I'm now feeling pretty confident that I see a second line! X
