Original relaxed thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2537105-relaxed-ttc-feb-march-april-2016

Hi all, thought I would start a new thread before we capped the earlier one. Here's hoping for more laid back BFPs and a bit of OT chat.

Everyone welcome, waiting to try, TTC, not preventing, being hopeful, and trying not to flip the fck out squinting at lines on sticks.

wispaxmas I know, fingers crossed. Just feels good to be making some forward progress even if it doesn't happen this month. I'm quite active / healthy eater to begin with but really focused on getting my fruits and veggies, water, 5 miles a day and yoga. We've got house guests over the next two cycles though so we might be practicing very quiet baby making.

TryingToStayRational · 07/05/2016 13:36

AF got me this morning so at least I know what's going on. Onwards and upwards!

jellybeantrampoline15 · 07/05/2016 14:04

Hi there everyone, My husband and I have been Ttc since February, my cycles are slightly irregular so I find it difficult to track them. fingers crossed it will happen soon!

cheesemumma · 07/05/2016 14:34

Aw sorry trying. It's always shit when it comes. Have a glass of wine.

Hi jelly good luck.

I've jusy entered my 2ww. I hate this bit but I'm determined to stay calm this time and not test till a week late- save money, stress and disappointment.

Good luck others in the 2ww.

TryingToStayRational · 07/05/2016 15:24

Stay strong, cheese! You can do it! I only cracked once this month and used an Internet cheapie so at least that is progress from the embarrassing number of FRERs I've wasted money on in previous months! It's so silly and yet it is soooo hard to resist in those last few days. Hope you can hold out and get a lovely clear BFP soon Smile

sparkle789 · 07/05/2016 18:38

Sorry af got you trying.

Hi jelly :)

Well no af yet, still feeling sick and I have been sick twice today, lots of tugging type pains, boobs hurt. So obviously convincing myself I must be pregnant! I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up but failing.
Cd 24. I'm going to try an not test until Wednesday.

wispaxmas · 07/05/2016 19:07

Wow cheese, a week late! Do you have somewhat irregular cycles? Mine are pretty clockwork, so I would test if AF was even a day late I'm sure. As it is, I'm planning to allow myself one early test a cycle because I just can't help myself and I don't mind the BFN (in fact I prefer to get one before AF arrives to prepare myself).

BippityBoppityBullshit · 07/05/2016 21:13

I aim to please wispaxmas

Gave in and tested with a cheapie- bfn. But i paid for my impatience. While i was studying the test intently dc1 was in the bath pooping ON THE PLUG. So no time to dwell on the bfn as i was scraping shit out of the chain Hmm

By some miracle that hasn't put me off! Still no AF today though had cramps this morning. Holding out til next week though.
Still no pre AF symptoms of ragey PMT or spots, and DH is being wildly optimistic about his, and i quote 'super spunk' Grin

BuffaloCustardbath · 07/05/2016 23:15

Still no idea why it's taken so long (AF 8 days late today and tests on CD27 and CD33 were both BFN) but I got a BFP today!! Grin now just got to find the willpower to stop myself buying a shedload more digital tests and doing one everyday.....

SunnyDays1987 · 08/05/2016 05:51

Yey congrats Buffalo!!! Picture?!

dynia · 08/05/2016 08:22

Congrats buffalo that's fantastic news!

wispaxmas · 08/05/2016 10:11

Congratulations, buffalo!!

I'm pretty sure that would put me off ttc again at all, bippity! Nearly 2 years into parenthood and I can happily report that I've never had to clean poo off anything other than DD's bum! Nor has there ever been a weeing incident outside a nappy.. I say this now, but who knows what the dreaded potty training phase will bring!

SunnyDays1987 · 08/05/2016 11:18

Hahah you're in for a treat if you have a boy then wispa!!! WEE EVERY WHERE!!

BippityBoppityBullshit · 08/05/2016 12:59

Well i've woken up to the start of AF. So I'm out for this month. Slightly panicking at the prospect of 2 now we are actually trying but DH is keen to try again next month so fingers crossed. Congrats buffalo!

wispaxmas · 08/05/2016 14:32

LOL, sunny, something to potentially look forward to Hmm

Sorry about AF, buffalo.

Bippity, I had that same panic back in February when DH and I decided to stop preventing and 'see what happens.' I flipped out at the prospect of having another because DD got really ill and we had a very difficult few weeks of it and I decided to START preventing again until this month and now I'm not feeling so ill about another.

wispaxmas · 08/05/2016 14:32

Ugh - I meant bippity, not buffalo, getting everyone confused, sorry1

OP posts:
cheesemumma · 08/05/2016 15:14

Bippity- that made me lol. I'm looking forward to the joys of psrenthood

Wispa- yeah my cycles keep being a few days late and I keep convincing my self I'm definitely preggo and then it's all the more disappointing when I'm not. Bur I say that now... who knows when I'm 2 days late.
Yay congratulations buffalo that's great

BippityBoppityBullshit · 08/05/2016 15:28

Okay now i'm confused and it's about to get TMI.

Light cramping Friday night, but no irritability or spots (on the face!)

This morning wiped, small bit of bright red blood. Thought AF. Working today so that normally encourages a 'full flow' start to AF. But only light pink or brown spots. So... Implantation bleeding? Dare i hope?! Plus i'm normally doubled over cramping on day 1 going roght down my keg, but nothing.

I wait to see what tomorrow brings 😃

TryingToStayRational · 08/05/2016 18:46

Congrats buffalo!

Hope it isn't really AF, bippity

Lol about the pooing on the plug! I have no kids yet but my Mum was a childminder for about 20 years so I've had quite a preview. The first time I ever changed a nappy the little boy peed in my eye and mouth, so I soon learned to keep my mouth shut and be ready for a mini super-soaker! Blush

SophieBear13 · 08/05/2016 20:19

Hi,

Can I join? My husband and I have just moved our TTC timeline from late 2016 to 'seeing what happens'. I'm 25 and he is 26 and we are aiming for a spring baby but will see how it all goes.

I have been off the pill for over 3 years now and was using apps like ovia/clue to prevent pregnancy so it's a little odd using the same apps for the complete opposite!

SoozC · 08/05/2016 20:38

Congrats buffalo!

jennymac31 · 08/05/2016 21:21

Congrats buffalo!

Am still having the stomach cramps, dizziness, back ache & just general 'not 100%' feeling. Af isn't due for another week and it's too soon to take a test so will have to hold out for a few more days unless Af turns up early. It's driving me up the wall tbh and my dh is noticing my change in mood.

sparkle789 · 08/05/2016 22:07

Congrats buffalo :)

Eva30 · 08/05/2016 22:39

Hi all. I'm 29 and TTC#1. Sparkle I'm like you, stopped taking the pill on 21st Apr so no clue about my cycle. But input my data on Ovia and last weekend said I was in fertile window. So I did OPK and was positive - scarily accurate! So DTD (and a couple of days before & after) and now I'm two, 7dpo but I have no symptoms whatsoever and cycle 1 would just be too lucky but we'll see! Jennymac I'm due to test same day as you, fx for all
