Original relaxed thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2537105-relaxed-ttc-feb-march-april-2016

Hi all, thought I would start a new thread before we capped the earlier one. Here's hoping for more laid back BFPs and a bit of OT chat.

Everyone welcome, waiting to try, TTC, not preventing, being hopeful, and trying not to flip the fck out squinting at lines on sticks.

Been logging my stuff into the ovia app and it's looking like I ovulated earlier, was due to today (cycle day 15) but looks like it was more around cycle day 10. We did DTD cycle day 10 and 13 but not at all in the few days before then. Oh well, nothing I can do now. Will DTD again tonight just to cover myself for if I do ovulate today but I don't think I am. Sorry for tmi but I had ewcm on cycle day 10 and 11 but not since. X

NJ81 · 19/04/2016 08:51

Cheers rausten - my mc was December but hopefully I'll follow same pattern as you. Haven't dare test again yet. Getting some bubbling down below but also heard that's a good pg sign?? Pretty windy too (sorry too much info). The TTC is quite stressful!

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 19/04/2016 10:28

Just about caught up with the thread - congrats to everyone with BFPs and Flowers for those with bad news.
I've just got back from the docs and been diagnosed with cystitis from TTC Sad (sorry for the TMI but I figured that's what we're all here for!)
Not sure if anyone on here has had it so far but the doc was basically unable to help as she said if she can't confirm/rule out pregnancy she doesn't really want to give me anything. I've got to go back in this afternoon to drop off a sample (nothing worked when I was there!) and then once the results come back tomorrow I should hopefully be able to get some antibiotics.
Until then I'm on the sofa with a day off work feeling sorry for myself and downing pints of water to flush it out!
Hope everyone else is having a better day!

cheesemumma · 19/04/2016 10:39

Hey rosie- did you get cranberry juice as well? Its horrible cystitis. not nice! Sorry your feeling rubbish. Hopefully it will clear up soon and you'll be back to it. Could you be pregnant?

Theresa- it's so frustrating when Ovia does that, isn't it. Really mucks up the plans! Hopefully it will change back again and you'll be fine. fx

Lucy1308 · 19/04/2016 10:58

Aw no Rosie that's horrid. I suffer with it a lot so know how you feel!! Try a product called D Mannose- totally safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding and works a dream!! I take a couple of tablets most days now and I've not had a bout in 2 months (a miracle as usually I get it at least monthly).

Hope you feel better soon!!

NJ81 · 19/04/2016 12:14

Ah rosie I feel for you. Had it a couple of times before and it's horrid. Hope it passes soon!!

Sienna9522 · 19/04/2016 12:20

Cheese, mine usually vary between 28 and 29 days! It feels light years away until I'm in the fertile week again! May be difficult to DTD this cycle too as I'm starting 6 weeks of night shifts from next Monday and DH will be doing day shifts, we'll be like passing ships in the night

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 19/04/2016 12:38

Thanks guys!
cheese I've got cranberry juice and barley water which my mum used to swear by so hopefully that combination will work Grin Plus I'm only 4dpo so much as I might hope, I don't think it's that just yet...
Lucy I'll have a look for that supplement, I'm going into town this afternoon so hopefully I can pick some up.
For now I'll just keep up my trips to the loo every 5 minutes! Perhaps this is my preparation for pregnancy?? Grin

rausten · 19/04/2016 15:47

I'm already getting antsy about taking a test, I'm soooo impatient. I'm on CD 19 and I can't test for at least another 10 days. Going insane!!! looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow to take my mind off it lol.

NJ81 · 19/04/2016 16:43

So an update, started spitting today so I'm thinking AF could be on its way albeit a week late! Everything I've felt this time is very unusual for me (sore boobs, tingling nipples, back ache, dull ache in uterus) and although I know you can spot I am not feeling the hope. They say TTC is fun but I'm not feeling that...!

rausten · 19/04/2016 17:06

NJ81 not meaning to be intrusive so feel free to pass on my question but is the spotting a darker colour (closer to brown) if so it might be the implantation of the egg. I got that the day before I got a BFP xxxx

NJ81 · 19/04/2016 17:08

The first wipe was a watered down pink but now brown. My uterus is bubbling a lot too and back aches. Boobs not aching now... Am I over analysing? Before this I'd planned to take another test tomorrow as I'd be a week late then. Feel like I'm losing hope...

cheesemumma · 19/04/2016 17:38

Nj don't loose hope yet! We're all excitwd about tpue bfp lol. You never know until af shows properly. spotting is a common symptom of early pregnancy surely. Keep positive. All my fingers crossed for you. Xx

Rausten- oh no! The wait always aeema ap long hey! When do tou start back at work?

Rosie- good luck with all the remedies. Treat yourself to some Cake Chocolate watch a film on the sofa. Hope you feel better soon.

Sienna- you'll have to get aome quickies in in the morning or afternoonWink my dh is staying up watching the football at the moment. I told him to enjoy it as he's gonna have to be back in the bed next week for shagathon for two weeks. Aiming for every other day from end of period. A row normally scuppers that plan at some point I the month lol! 2more daya of af lwft for me.

rausten · 19/04/2016 17:46

I work 2 1/2 days a week so I'm going in tomorrow. I'm a teacher so once I'm there time just flies and my feet don't touch the ground.
Spotting is very common. I have a friend who is pregnant at the moment (about 6 weeks) and she's still getting some spotting and of the pink variety. the doctor just said to keep an eye on it but it's nothing much to worry about, so keep thinking positive. xxx

happysunshineandrainbows · 19/04/2016 17:48

Hi - can I join you?

NJ81 · 19/04/2016 17:53

Thanks ladies. Think it may be AF but if no more overnight will test in the morning to be sure. OH is all relaxed about saying it'll happen and it takes time bla bla bla, dot. Think he gets why it's so upsetting. He has a son already too.

wispaxmas · 19/04/2016 19:24

Sorry nj, I won't tell you to keep hoping because I know if it was me I'd want to be expecting AF tomorrow, and then be happily surprised if it doesn't happen!

Welcome, happysunshine, jump on in!

Afm I'm still eagerly awaiting next cycle!! CD19/4dpo and AF due the 29th. I'll be stepping back a bit now until then, just peeking in for bfps Grin

ktt512 · 19/04/2016 19:29

Hi everyone, can I join?

Age- 26
TTC- Baby #1 (for me, #3 for him)
Cycle- 1 (because this is the first month i've paid attention!)

We're doing the 'not trying to have a baby, but not trying not to have a baby' thing...it's working well for OH but not sure how well it's working for me! I'm trying to keep calm and not think about it, pretty sure i'm in the fertile window now but my cycle is a bit all over the place so it's anyone's guess! Trying to DTD every night or at least every other night this week because I got an app which think's i'm due to ovulate on friday...the old cervical mucous seems to disagree (sorry if that's TMI, and should I abbreviate cervical mucous? Blush abbreviations are a minefield!). I'm no expert but google seems to think ovulation may well be imminent? Every night/every other night DTD is not our usual pattern though, so trying to make it seem like i'm not 'trying' is tough, he's definitely on to me Grin

How do I go about keeping calm and not watching every twinge or every rumble of wind like a hawk??

Sienna9522 · 19/04/2016 20:09

Rausten - I know the feeling, the wait is a killer! But work should take your mind of it, I've been off for a week with terrible flu and it's made the whole thing a lot slower, I'm a nurse so when I'm in work I don't have a minute to think (or overthink) so I can relate. Quite glad to be back in tomorrow for that reason.

Cheese - the only time we will have chance for a quickie is on his break, I will be working 19:00 - 07:15 and he will be working 07:00 - 19:15 so we won't see each other at all, we get an hour and a half break each shift so I have pre warned him that he will be coming home to wake me up and DTD on his break while I'm sleeping Wink

Sienna9522 · 19/04/2016 20:11

That sounded wrong, he obviously won't do it while I'm sleeping, he will wake me up first haha

SoozC · 19/04/2016 20:11

You can't, ktt, lol. Welcome to you and Happy!

NJ keeping fx for you!

Rausten I'm a teacher too, know what you mean about not having time to think! Helps the tww along a little :)

Currently 11dpo, had pink spotting lots today, not sure if it heralds AF (due Saturday earliest) or something else. Fx for me, not testing until Saturday earliest now as had BFN yesterday.

Sienna9522 · 19/04/2016 20:26

Cheese - my af's have gone from 5 days to 3 days since having the coil out, gona aim for every other day from CD8

Sienna9522 · 19/04/2016 20:28

Sooz, I tested nearly every day from 8dpo. Won't be making that mistake again, stressed me out and AF come right on time Sad

Sienna9522 · 19/04/2016 20:28

Soon, P.s good luck, hope this is your month

SoozC · 19/04/2016 20:48

Thanks, Sienna, I know exactly what you mean! One day I'm convinced I'm preggers, the next I figure I can't be and not to get my hopes up. Don't you just wish for a crystal ball sometimes!!!!
