Original relaxed thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2537105-relaxed-ttc-feb-march-april-2016

Hi all, thought I would start a new thread before we capped the earlier one. Here's hoping for more laid back BFPs and a bit of OT chat.

Everyone welcome, waiting to try, TTC, not preventing, being hopeful, and trying not to flip the fck out squinting at lines on sticks.

My goodness I feel like I've missed loads! Congrats fluffy. nj I think you need a new test!

Last time I knew I was pregnant before I tested. Dh said either you're pregnant or there is something wrong with you! Grin I'm supposed to be working but will share symptoms later

Lykke1000 · 16/04/2016 09:03

Fluffy big congratulations 🎊! I hope to be in the same situation one day..very soon

NJ81 · 16/04/2016 09:14

Control line is showing but it's not lined up with the window so it's right on the edge. Will leave til Monday and repeat and buy a posh test ☺️

jennymac31 · 16/04/2016 09:32

Gosh it all seems to be happening at the moment!

AF arrived yesterday so hope to crack on with ttc at the end of the month & over the bank holiday weekend, which is when my fertile window is (according to ovio).

Congratulations fluffy!

NJ - i'd leave it a couple of days and test again. Good luck!

NJ81 · 16/04/2016 09:42

Thanks all.
Sunny - I used a cheap Boots one. Worked for me last time although sadly mc in December. I was convinced I was pregnant now as it all feels different but test says not...

TryingToStayRational · 16/04/2016 10:11

Congrats fluffy! Flowers

Hope it turns out to be a false BFN for you, NJ

Good luck to everyone in the tww. I'm still in the one week shagfest at the mo. Ten years ago I'd have thought that sounded fantastic but sadly neither of us are that up for it these days - am hoping that more sex = more sex drive (and energy!) so it can be less of a chore tbh. Sounds awful but we have a great relationship otherwise and when we do have sex it is good, if a little slow to get going. Anyone else feel like they wish the stork could be real? Wink

NJ81 · 16/04/2016 10:14

Thanks and yes, if only the stork could be real!! It would save a lot of stress and attempted patience!

ButtonTum · 16/04/2016 10:40

Congrats fluffy!

Tryingtostayrational agree! It's shag week for us too and I've already been told "I'm not a performing seal" .. I think I need to work on my seduction technique.

It's cycle 1 for us for baby 1 so sure he is just being glib. Feels weird to be so deliberate about sex. Super exciting though!

Starmist · 16/04/2016 11:37

Brilliant news, congrats Fluffy!!!

TryingToStayRational one week shagfest lol. I wish the stork was real & DH definitely does! People always tell you what hard work it is to have a baby, I had no idea the TTC business was so difficult too.

SunnyDays1987 · 16/04/2016 11:52

It really is hard work. DH got fed up of all the DTD last time but then this time he can't wait to TTC because he knows there will be a long drought when I'm pregnant and when we have a small baby!!! Might be worth mentioning to your DHs haha!!

SoozC · 16/04/2016 12:18

Congrats, Fluffy!

NJ good luck with your more expensive test!

My DP was amazed when I told him there was basically a window of a day or two to get pregnant. Trying it takes me a while to get going nowadays and DP is not as young as he used to be - he said he can't BD every other day as he'd be too tired!! I tell him nothing about my fertile window to save him feeling like he has to perform - he has said he doesn't want to know!

cheesemumma · 16/04/2016 12:59

Fluffy- yay that's so exciting massive congratulations. X
Sooz- my dh ia the same. Says he doesn't want to know. But it's unfair it's all on me, he should be aware of the stress aswell!
Nj- your still in the running keep us updated. I think im out little spotting today im assuming its period that's why im on the sofa in feont of come dine with me with a tub of peanut butter and a spoon I'm sooooo deluded part of me is hoping its just spotting because its not like my normal period. Why is mother nature a bitch she plays tricks when your ttc. I'm usually clockwork. Ahhhh

Starmist · 16/04/2016 13:23

Sunny that's exactly what my DH said! He said he can't wait for me to be pregnant as he'll get a year off from DTD Hmm

FluffyPickleMonster · 16/04/2016 13:51

Ahh thank you for all the congrats ladies! I keep looking at the stick expecting it change. I've just told DH and we've had a conversation about being realistic but positive so we'll see what happens in the next few weeks. He then asked if we could still have sex, ha! He was hoping that we'd have a few months of me demanding the baby dance!

MummyTo1TTC2 · 16/04/2016 14:11

TheresaMarie55 · 16/04/2016 15:01

I'm in my fertile window according to ovia. Will be making sure to DTD as much as possible! X

sparkle789 · 16/04/2016 18:35

Congratulations fluffy!

wispaxmas · 16/04/2016 18:49

Congratulations, fluffy!!! So amazing it's even 2-3 weeks, I remember I kept testing with digitals last time until I saw the 3+ and you're already halfway there!

Hiya mummyto1, if you're ovulating in the next couple days, but could not out until 5 days from now does that mean you're starting next cycle?

As for me- temp rise this morning so am officially waiting for AF to come so we can start trying! Two cycles of temping and it's confirmed basically that I ovulate on either CD15 or 16 of my 28/9 day cycles, so I don't feel the need to bother with obsessive tracking once we are trying.

Oh yes! Congratultions fluffy!

FluffyPickleMonster · 16/04/2016 19:00

Thank you Theresa , Sparkle and Wispa! I saw on another thread that quite a few people were reporting false positives with the clearblue digital test so I got paranoid and went and bought another test, I now have two blue lines too Smile

SunnyDays1987 · 17/04/2016 01:16

Awesome thick line!

cheesemumma · 17/04/2016 08:08

Fluffy you are definitely upduffed. Soooo exciting.

Af has arrived in all her glory for me so onto cycle 5 I go...

wispa good luck for next month. Its annoying waiting for af to turn up though. I'm just gonna try and dtd every other day and hope for the best.

cheesemumma · 17/04/2016 08:11

Nj how did you get on? Did you test again?

BertieBotts · 17/04/2016 08:42

I'm about to take test number seven Blush

After my fiasco a few days ago they were really staying faint so I asked my doctor for advice and she said try a clearblue on Monday. DH requested I do it today instead so he can see. I got the + - one so hopefully, it's clear. I'd be an entire week late by LMP today, but my cycles are variable so she reckoned I probably just tested too early.

FluffyPickleMonster · 17/04/2016 08:47

Sunny- I know, it appeared almost instantly as well so I'm taking that as a good sign.

Cheese- upduffed, ha I love that! Sorry that AF has paid you a visit, wishing you lots of luck for next month. I'll be doing my anti AF dance for you.

Stupid question I'm sure but I'm not sure how many weeks I am, can anyone help?!.... It's three weeks exactly since I ovulated (27th March) but I don't have a 28 cycle so last period was 16th March, ovulation was on day 12. Do I still say 5 weeks even though my period wasn't two weeks before ovulation?! Sorry for being a bit thick, this is my first pregnancy and I can't work it out. I know the midwife will tell me but I need to know now! I also hope you don't think I'm being insensitive, I don't mean to be but you lot seem to know all the answers x
