Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Glad you felt better after your feed ni Smile** I get really like that too!!

Me and DH treated ourselves to Five Guys for dinner! Yummy Grin

I found cervix difficult to kav could only really tell if it was high or low! Once I bfp though it felt totally different rock solid and super high.

Totally agree with the Schrödingering on acid starky! Despite multiple symptoms and ahem... ?7 positive tests still feel like it might all just be in my head.

Evergreen17 · 14/04/2016 19:10

Oh dear
AF due tomorrow if I am having another 25 days cycle. Otherwise it can show up on Monday for a 28th cycle. I feel it coming
Already upset Envy
This os getting old and I dont have the energy for all the dtd that ttc involves.
Maybe I will take a couple of months break after all...

HepKestrel · 14/04/2016 19:17

[Hugs] ever

Do what you need to. This TTC lark is tiring . we need to look after ourselves Flowers

Evergreen17 · 14/04/2016 19:42

Thanks hepSmile
But at 35 should I really be taking a break? Sad

HepKestrel · 14/04/2016 20:30

I'm 37 next month. I understand. But you do need to look after yourself

HepKestrel · 14/04/2016 21:08

Oops sucha. I can't count. Only 1 day late.

LovelyFishy · 14/04/2016 21:53

I'm going down the path of madness. This afternoon and evening - TMI warning! - I've noticed a very light brown discharge, with what looks like a few specks of wash-out coffee grains when I wipe! Never had anything like this before, not sure when I ovulated but currently cd 23 of 28. Does this sound like a possible implantation bleed?

HepKestrel · 14/04/2016 21:57

Its possible. Will keep fx for you

Evergreen17 · 14/04/2016 22:04

Thanks hep
Yes, put myself first Smile
Maybe a little break is due
Fishy maybe? I have never experienced any spotting...

Mileymoocow · 14/04/2016 22:09

starky you like a proper brew them! You're a true northerner Wink I do a double bagger with Yorkshire tea. I'm a tea addict, too.

Also, I was convinced af was here for the entire week leading up to my bfp. Fucking shitty symptoms. They're the absolute pits.

Pugmummy87 · 14/04/2016 22:12

Fishy that could be implantation? Brown normally means old blood, so could be!

I randomly used an opk this evening and got a really strong positive. I've not been obsessively tracking my cycle this time, but AF due around the 18th. I have zero symptoms. Haven't even had my usual sore boobs I get after ovulation.
I had 9 days of high fertility on the clear blues and then gave up testing with those. Used a cheapie opk and got a strong positive 10 days ago around the same time I was having the browny discharge. Forgot to temp for several days and then gave up with that as couldn't be bothered.
I've had a couple of sharp stabbing pains today and that is it. I think I'm Cd26?
Do not want to get hopes up due to last month's ?chemical and the fact that my body always like to throw me a curveball to keep me on my toes. Can't I just have a flashing neon sign appear on my belly and just tell me!

Catching up....
Hep fab idea! Hectic busy week at work. Saturday Im getting my hair done, meeting friend for coffee, then meeting friend for dinner. Treats galore! 😉

Kav enjoy ISW!! Im pretty good with figuring things out -I'm a dab hand at Ikea furniture- but I can't for the life of me figure out where my cervix is!!!

Stark why do we have to start water chugging? I'm with you all on the tea. I'm limiting to two cups a day (most days...had 4today!!!) but I have seriously strong Irish tea!! I feel guilty about it every day cos they say caffeine can affect ttc! But it's my one vice I don't want to lose!!!

Jem same thing today...5pm complete wooziness...had to do lots of slow calm breathing while sitting on the tube...I was convinced I was gonna be sick or faint or something. And again I didn't fancy dinner at all, just water, but once I started eating I fancied it and I felt fine again. But it can't be low blood sugar cos I had tea and two profiteroles at 430! It can't be pregnancy either....had AF, a neg ic, and low temps! Maybe something to do with my new supplements...must ask Dr Google!

Ni4444 · 14/04/2016 22:35

Pug why don't you temp tomorrow and see if it stays high or goes low. That keeps me sane and prevents too much fantasising that I could be pg (I still fantasise some though!😜)

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/04/2016 22:46

miley that's why we started buying the super strong tea bags because Dh was complaining that I go through teabags at a rate due to double bagging! Grin oh aye, I love builders tea, strong and sweet!

ni cause the little monkey saps all your hydration and you end up with stinking headaches! And more water is better for cervical mucus production!

OP posts:
Ni4444 · 14/04/2016 23:13

Double bagging for tea! Never thought of that!
Ah, headaches...another lovely side effect to look forward to!

LovelyFishy · 14/04/2016 23:13

Pug we can have a crazy couple of symptom spotting days together! I like the neon sign idea.

Evergreen17 · 15/04/2016 07:15

Pug that is a strong opk!! How weird
I can see why you dont want to get your hopes up but difficult when something like this happens!
Starky thanks for water tip. I drink a lot of water, yet yesterday and tonday woken up with massive sinuses headache. AF due any minute ConfusedConfused

SuchaJem · 15/04/2016 08:34

ever hope AF stays away. Fx for you.

lovely ooh that's promising! I think light brown sounds right for IB?

miley double bagged Yorkshire! Blimey! How are you surviving now? Or are you off tea with your sickness? :(

pug oh my god, I really really hope this means a bfp is coming your way lady. Are you going to hcg test?

ni that's strange - take care and see your doc if it continues xx

SuchaJem · 15/04/2016 08:38

CD 23 in the house over here, 7DPO. Mixed bag, emotionally and physically. Been very up and down. Weeping uncontrollably Wednesday, inexplicably upbeat today. DH doesn't know where to look.

Still getting the fluttering sensation in lower abdomen, yesterday I had backache and pelvic pain and was sooooooo knackered. No boobs to speak of, nothing of note on the cm. The mystery continues...

And it's moving time this weekend! Here's max after we told him.

HepKestrel · 15/04/2016 08:59

awww.... max looks like a beauty..... but he might be plotting to kill you....Wink

make sure he is chipped/collared just in case in moving chaos he scarpers!

i like a strong cup. 6minutes yorkshire tea Smile

old grumpy cat is becoming expensive. 3rd blood test in 6 weeks booked as we try to get his thyroid and blood pressure medication right. he's very unappreciative. Luckily he now knows that he gets treats when i get home from work, and doesn't mind their contents!

realistically i know AF is round the corner.... no sign yet.

SuchaJem · 15/04/2016 09:14

He's chipped and collared hep Smile we're considering parking him at mum and dads for the day to avoid the chaos.

Hope your old boy is alright. Vet bills suck.

InspectorPenguin · 15/04/2016 09:50

Max is gorgeous!! He's going to be sneaking into boxes all weekend!

I'm so envious, I miss my beautiful cats so much :( They stayed with ex-DH when we split and I can't really get them back until I have bought somewhere of my own. I could get away with having them in my current (rented) flat but would feel really bad at making them move house if it was for anything less than a long-term move. I have to keep going to my parents' house to get a cat fix there instead Grin.

Hep I hope grumpy cat is doing okay. Vet visits are so stressful for everyone so I hope you get his meds sorted soon.

Fingers crossed for you, Pug. Sounds like something is definitely happening but understand your caution this month.

Ni your symptoms sound a lot like I had about 6 weeks ago. I ended up coming down with that stomach virus lots of people were getting. No actual sickness or diarrhea but feeling very queasy, light-headed, tired and off my food. I had one day of a fever and feeling terrible but then it seemed to pass quite quickly. Hope you don't get the same!

Miley It really sounds like you've been through the mill. Hope there is some light at the tunnel for you - you must be absolutely worn out by now Flowers

Ever, I know being 35 makes us think we're somehow over the hill but honestly, the stats they quote for the drop in fertility at this age have been widely disputed. There is much less difference between being 35 and being mid-20s than we're led to believe and if you think a break is going to be good for your mental health then you should absolutely do it.
Focus on yourself, and your relationship, and it will do you much more good than getting stressed about TTC. Turning 35 really shouldn't freak you out and taking a few months out will make no difference to your chances.
After all, once you have a baby taking time for yourself will be very rare so you should grab the chance while you can!

Starky Hope you are believing you're preggo a bit more now and enjoying not feeling awful. Interested to know if you have developed a new pheromone?!

InspectorPenguin · 15/04/2016 09:56

Btw thanks all on the OPK advice yesterday - it was exciting to know it was real given the one on Tuesday was completely white and I've never had a positive one before.
This morning's was a slightly stronger positive so hoping that DTD yesterday and today/tomorrow will do the trick. And even it doesn't, that's fine. I will be much more relaxed next month knowing that I do get the LH surge after all. It's definitely reassuring to know things are happening since I can never feel anything going on!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/04/2016 10:14

inspector dh just thinks I am amazing and gorgeous all the time at the minute! clearly too many knocks to the head apparently I look lovely and smell lovely.

I would happily sleep away the next four weeks if it got me closer to the 12 week scan, I said this to dh and I think we're going to have a look at an early scan because I don't want to fall into sleeping as a way if escaping, that's a slippery slope for me!

ever I was reading an article the other day (I'll see if I can find it) which was saying that women are told that at 35 our fertility drops off, and it's not strictly true. Do not worry, it will happen.

fishy that does sound like a possible implantation, but don't let it get into your head, it will mess with you.

pug I'm with you on the flashing sign! Maybe you're like me and just have a high level of lh, which was why the flashy smilies. It throws you off. I'm doing positive mental attitude for everybody.

Yes, double bagging is the way forward. But very expensive! It makes for a worn out joke in our household now though, OH still after almost 4 years thinks it's hilarious to ask how I'd like my teabag situation today with a little squat and dangle of his balls. jem I'm absolutely fine with tea, struggling to stick to my limit! I couldn't face it the first 5 or 6 weeks of morning sickness though!

inspector I'm doing a little better thanks Smile I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and still feel constantly nauseous but have only been sick twice in 4 days since I last got out of hospital. I have HG which isn't common at all so I know I've just been horrendously unlucky and chances are you ladies won't suffer half as bad as I have. I sincerely hope everyone has a smooth pregnancy.
