Did you have symptoms *Jo? before you tested? Are you just 4 weeks? How exciting for you xx

JoMalones · 18/03/2016 20:56

I could smell everything Kate, it was really weird, calling it dog nose. Feeling nauseous but there's been a lot going on this week so that could be anxiety. I won't be 4 weeks until Monday! My last cycle was 25 days though so due weekend or Monday I think. Thanks!

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 18/03/2016 21:01

I got the smell thing when I was pregnant! Was great for my job (I sample a LOT of coffee in spite of my user name) up until it got sensitive to the point everything made me wanna puke

Good luck Jo

HopefulKate1980 · 18/03/2016 21:25

Did you get that with your last pregnancy Jo? I am interested cos all my pregnancies so far have been exactly the same but I know that isn't necessarily true all the time x

JoMalones · 18/03/2016 21:42

Thanks IC
*
Kate* I always got dog nose but not this early . Tmi - nipples also more sensitive today which I got around the same time with all other pregnancies. This test was a lot stronger than the last though - not sure if that makes a difference?

AmyB1986 · 18/03/2016 22:20

I think I am ready to explode, taken some paracetamol and its eased a bit but now feel sick Confused

Kate cuddles sounds better than a party any day.

Jo I don't think it matters how dark/light the line is but how sensitive the test is more than anything. They say in the pack 20miu or whatever but each test even the same brands vary I think.

I got roped into playing mine craft on the Xbox with DD helping her excavate a house and tame a cat and rabbit. What a fun Friday! I don't understand the fascination with the game to be honest but what ever makes her happy. She'll be bored of it in a week. She was getting frustrated with me not knowing how to play!

Hope everyone is ok as well Grin

I had the smell thing too. Our bed smelled like over ripe bananas which was wierd. It took me ages to figure out it was coming from a tin of polish cigars DH had in his bedside cabinet. Normally my sense of smell is appauling and I can't smell a thing. It is wierd to discover the world absolutely stinks.

Hi all, hope everyone is feeling OK this morning.

I am 4 weeks today and trying to stay positive but constantly knicker checking (sorry TMI). The BFP line is nice and strong so I'm hoping this will be a sticky one!

After last 2 MC the EPU said they'd see me for a scan at 6-7 weeks next time, so am using that as our next goal to reach! Trying to take it 1 day at a time but I'm not patient at the best of times.

V early symptoms for those asking - for me it's body aches, dull cramping / stretching feelings, upset tum & skin breakouts. All delightful!

Good luck to those in the 2ww. It's bloody exhausting. I keep saying to DH that a baby shouldn't be this hard to come by, who'd have thunk it. Fingers and toes crossed for all and try to relax over the weekend Brew Cake Chocolate

LuckyinOctober · 19/03/2016 08:43

Brenna yes we seem in sync.

So I'm 11dpo and no spotting yet, which is slightly unusual for me but it may just be coming later today. Because we're going to a party tonight I did an internet cheapie as think it'll look suspicious if I don't drink. If I really squint I think I see a tiny shadow of a second line but just about gave myself double vision in the process. To play safe though planning to stay off the booze, drive to the party and make that my reason for not drinking. Unless I come on before then, but my temp hasn't dipped yet and I'm not cramping like usual for AF. Just have to play the waiting game some more!

JoMalones · 19/03/2016 09:28

Ooh lucky, that's how my BFP started.

I did poas ic this morning and it isn't v strong line. I think I've got flu and utterly run down but the line isn't getting stronger?

AmyB1986 · 19/03/2016 09:30

Morning all- so my opk is still positive this morning, don't know wtf is going on now. I've had a temp rise the last two days so I'm guessing I get a positive opk and my temp starts to rise AS I'm ovulating not when it's actually happened. Waiting for it to stabilise then I know the deed is done! Managed to dtd but it was extremely painful, think if this happens again I might have to call my gp and get some advice. I don't think the pain is normal.

Mrs cm is a really good sign. I've had loads of it, it's been making me feel a bit self conscious to the point in actually wearing a pad. I don't remember there ever being this much when I wasn't on any contraception before.

Lucky hope that line gets stronger so you don't get double vision! The thread is turning out to be exactly as its name suggests!

BFP's all round please!!

Jo don't worry about the lines on the test hun, a line is a line however strong it is. It's not a reflection on how strong a pregnancy is and some don't ever get a strong line. Maybe ditch the IC's for a week. I can bet in a weeks time they will be dark and you'll have worried for nothing.

JoMalones · 19/03/2016 09:45

Mrs - I didn't before but I am extra paranoid and I've got another 10 tests!

Amy - are you sure you aren't pregnant? Or maybe an infection of some sort or cyst (sorry wildly guessing)? That pain doesn't sound good, would be worth checking out? If it's really painful you might get a scan (which would also confirm ovulation).

AmyB1986 · 19/03/2016 09:55

Jo I tested with an ic to make sure and it's absolutely negative for pg. I did have a cyst on my left ovary after the miscarriage it was 6cm but they said it didn't need any action taking as it was functional and I wouldn't get a period of it was still there. I've had one so it must be gone. I had a uti two weeks ago so wonder if that's still hanging around and causing the pain? The pains gone this morning though.

JoMalones · 19/03/2016 09:59

I'm glad the pain has gone. I had utis last year for the first time and they were agony. Hope whatever it was has cleared for you now

AmyB1986 · 19/03/2016 10:11

I hope so too Jo, really was agony. CD16-18 it was in my left side that was with my first positive opk then it moved to the right side yesterday with the other opk's. I wonder if you can ov from both sides on different days? Maybe I pushed out two eggs and that was what was causing the pain and all these days of positive opk's.

Brenna24 · 19/03/2016 10:58

That sounds horrible Amy

HopefulKate1980 · 19/03/2016 11:09

Sending you lots of thoughts Amy. Glad the pain has subsided.

Hmmm I did type a post on my phone but it's disappeared in to the ether now I'm on the laptop! Nevermind.

Amy I think you can ovulate twice in a cycle, isn't that how fraternal twins are made? That could account for the pain and the extra cm. I had lots of CM on my BFP cycle so hopefully it's a good sign!

Brenna24 · 19/03/2016 11:43

11 dpo. Getting mild cramps and general PMS type symptoms. I ate a 1kg bar of whole nut last night having been really good about not eating chocolate for the rest of lent. Please tell me PMS is a good excuse for breaking lent.

OP posts:
AmyB1986 · 19/03/2016 11:52

Brenna pms definitely warrants the bar of chocolate!

Kate thanks, it's still there a bit but more like af cramps not sharp stabbing pains now and doesn't feel like everything going to drop out.

I did another opk, thought the first one might have been wrong but now it's so strong the test line has stolen the control lines dye and is unmistakeably positive! I'm on cd20, dtd cd17,18 and just after midnight last night so between cd19-20. Think we've done enough. If this is my true surge (which I don't know because of the temp rise?) then I've either already ov'd or I will today. By my chart I could have ov'd between cd15 and now. Af should have arrived by cd35 at the latest I would imagine. Not doing a pg test this month, they're still hidden away but had one stashed just in case which I've now used to check I'm Defo not already upduffed.

Loki17 · 19/03/2016 16:32

Jo try not to worry about the ic lines. Mine didn't turn dark until a week after my missed af. Frer tests did though.
