Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

Canters congrats on the BFP

Kwick / Cailler Think I'll steal that positive mantra too

Starky i am LOVING the blog, you really are brilliant

I've been absent over the weekend as have been a bit down. BFN on Friday then AF arrived bang on schedule yesterday, so it's on to (hopefully lucky) cycle 8 for me.

I've deleted Ovia and decided that from now on I'm not going to bother with OPKs and all that stuff. I'm v regular so we'll just dtd ever other day or so during the magic window and hope for the best. Maybe a more relaxed approach to the whole thing will help cos careful planning hasn't

Green eyed monster also lurking at the back of my mind today as the only friend in RL who knows how long we've been trying for and about my mc and stuff is getting her 20 week scan today. She randomly discovered she was preggo in January when she was about 12 weeks along. Her and her DH had been trying to NOT get preggo so it was a total shock to them. I really am delighted for them, but it all seems so unfair too, sigh.

Oh well, Next AF due 12th April.

HepKestrel · 14/03/2016 11:54

sorry for AF island Flowers

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/03/2016 12:10

Awww thanks island much appreciated! 😊 sorry for af. What a bastard! I'm just waiting for mine to show up now. Got the usual zits and sore boobs but no cramps yet, just the odd twinge as if to say "you better go find your hot water bottle, I'm not here yet, but just you wait!"

That's why I'm avoiding the farm, I just can't do it at the minute because all I get is "ooh you next, how long have you been married now? It's about time isn't it. Just you wait!" etc. One of the upduffed is a 19 yr old who has absolutely NO tact. Hers was an unexpected surprise but she actually said "well I'm glad we didn't wait, imagine getting to like 30 and not having kids, that's just weird!" I was like "I'm nearly 30" and just let her splutter for a bit trying to dig herself out of the hole.

getting changed for pilates and all i can hear is pg talk Sad

instructor is good and always lets the pg ladies know the variants of the exercises they can do, but if anyone else slips into these easier positions ... he makes jokes like "oh is there something you want to tell us?"

Sad

I really feel AF is hiding round the corner ready to pounce.....

Lyssie · 14/03/2016 15:00

I feel odd, because I'm not in immense pain already this cycle. Just 4dpo, but last month I was already cramping, and had an awful case of weepy-tits.
I'm fighting the urge every day to poas because I know it's just foolish. I've only got one hpt here, and I'm banking on that being the one to tell me I'm eating for two. Ugh. 10 days seems an awful long time to wait!

HepKestrel · 14/03/2016 15:14

lyssie i believe 4dpo is just too early to have any real pg signs. hang on in there, and vent on this thread as much as you need too!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/03/2016 15:28

lyssie 4 dpo is far too early to have any kind of sign. Chances are a blastocyst wouldn't be anywhere near implanted yet so symptoms would be psychosematic my lovely. Just bide your time. No sense in getting worked up Flowers

I just told my bfp we are ttc, first person I have acknowledged it to in rl. That felt weird!

Hello everyone just checking in! I'm here but haven't been keeping up with the thread over the last few days as were away until next Sunday. I have a feeling my poor list will be hopelessly out of date by then as BFPs (and maybe a few AFs) will have ensued!!
Congrats canters i just spotted that you have a little sticky seed!!!

Anyone else I missed???

FXSkip · 14/03/2016 17:26

Hey kat was wondering where you'd gone!! can't think off the top of my head - let us know when you are back so we can update you with who is on the April bus

Kwick709 · 14/03/2016 17:33

Welcome flash

We decided this w/e to do a day trip to Broadstairs at Easter!!!! Any tips on restaurants gratefully received :)

You and your cat stories have me chuckling away... The poor VETS!!!!

Kwick709 · 14/03/2016 17:40

Sorry for af island

I am at clinic waiting on more meds - progesterone test this am showed half the normal levels :( so I am getting more meds... But they seem to have forgotten I am here and I am dying for loo Envy

Flashinthepan · 14/03/2016 18:26

I'm jealous of all your cat stories. I love cats but DH isn't a fan of pets and MIL is allergic! Did anyone suddenly feel a bit panicked when they actually started TTC? It struck me last night that if I'm lucky I'll actually be someone's mother!

SuchaJem · 14/03/2016 18:26

Hello all how is everyone?
Have had a lovely few days in Cape Town, currently killing time in the airport. ISW has finally finished and I reckon I'm 4DPO. Nothing else to report apart from a raging sore throat and cough.
Lots to catch up on! Congratulations canter super line :)
What else is new? I think we need kats stats! Xx

KatOnATinRo0f · 14/03/2016 18:55

Hey jem! I'm away!! I can post the hideously outdated list I have currently and we can work on it... I just copied it into notes app on iPhone and altered everyone's position. If someone would be prepared to take over the controls while I am on holiday I can take over when I am back (next Sunday)

RaeSkywalker · 14/03/2016 18:58

Thanks penguin! Was on microgynon for a couple of years, I came off it about 3 years ago. Reckon my cycle took 6 months to get back to normal.

Still no AF here. I've been getting awful cramps all day though and my boobs are very sore. If I still feel like this on Friday I might call the doctor? I have bought a couple of cheap pregnancy tests today so I'll use one in the morning of there's still no AF. The only brand that our pharmacy had left are called Early Bird- never heard of them! Hmm

Jamjar12 · 14/03/2016 19:38

I swear time moves so slowly in the 2ww!

I got frustrated with one of my best friends today- shes 26, been with her partner about 5 years and has a lovely 2 year old boy. She literally decided one day to start trying, 2 days later decided she didn't want a baby yet but lo and behold, was with child from literally 1 night. She was trying to tell me that I don't know what I'm letting myself in for and I'm getting too worked up about wanting a baby but it's so hard when you've been desperately broody for about 8 years! We've only been married about 7 months and done everything 'properly' but I can't help being impatient and picturing myself with a baby every waking moment of the day!

On a positive note, I'm dog sitting for my parents so he's lying across my feet ATM making me feel loved :)

Kwick709 · 14/03/2016 19:48

kat I am not sure if any of us can be trusted with list except you Wink Sunday is not THAT far away...

Rae I have never heard of Early Bird either but sounds promising... best of luck with FMU tomorrow!

Lucky you jamjar - I love doggies.

So my meds have been changed - bum injection is now every day and different drug. Nurse reassured me that low levels of progesterone would not have impacted implantation if that were set to happen.
PMA back in action!

HepKestrel · 14/03/2016 19:48

Rae i think if no news by friday, its not unreasonable to make a gp appointment. Its a good way of making AF turn up !

grumpy-old-vampire-cat has lost too much weight, so blood test booked for wednesday Sad. He is looking skinny, but he is his normal mischievous self. Am feeling guilty for not realising how much he had lost Confused.

Normal vet is off on holidays, so there is a big red flag in his notes to warn the unlucky sod who has to get the blood! Sedation might be required.... before the procedure for the cat, and after for the vet Wink

LovelyFishy · 14/03/2016 19:53

Oooh I know what you mean Jam, damn those people who can get pregnant quickly! But then you feel bad for being mean and end up going even crazier!

Speaking of going crazy I need help. I've started symptom spotting when I know it's all in my mind, it's too early. Cd 20, 6 dpo I think? I have sore boobs, which I normally get before AF so this is a bit early. I also have Lumpy Boob Syndrome - not the actual name of course, but I've forgotten what my doctor called it! I have a non-dangerous lump that sometimes gets more painful, but the doctor did say it'd probably get more painful if I got pregnant. Argh!!

Kwick709 · 14/03/2016 19:54

LOL hep feel sorry for your kittykat but also for the vet. I guess that type of attack must be an occupational hazard for a vet.

RaeSkywalker · 14/03/2016 20:42

Glad to hear they've changed your mess and aren't too worried Kwick have everything crossed for you!

Starky did it feel weird smarting it out loud? I haven't told anyone. Will probably crack eventually though!

HepKestrel · 14/03/2016 20:43

¡œœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœœ`~ZAAå

sorry cat-on-keyboard. I think that is cat for hello. nope I was wrong, its cat for "stop typing and feed me."

(i will now step away from crazy-cat-lady-level)

lucky i think its still too early for you too.

kwick good news on your drug levels!

vixarooni · 14/03/2016 21:21

inspector Its probably not so bad as you'd think temping. I wake up, pop it in, wait and then turn it off. I generally log it in the evening when I put my pjamas on. Your temp will go up by a certain amount if you don't keep to the same time roughly, but i doubt it will affect it a great deal. I find it helps me feel a bit more proactive when TTC! I've always wanted to see the seals, never done it! You can get a boat from sandwich to see them.

vixarooni · 14/03/2016 21:36

My dad is yorkshrian canters we are also going that way next week. There's a dog cafe we go to in hebden, and oh and I like to walk ingleton (had one of our first dates there) We bought a house up there and rent it out now, its roughly £700 a month more expensive down here as renters than up north. So annoying, but the family pull was strong!

rae how the hell are you coping? I almost feel like I want you to test right now so I know!!!

jam she had her child relatively young, and she's putting her experience on to you which I think would be quite different. I try to enjoy the process when I can, to know we are trying and that's always one step closer than the alternative! I'm quite a fan of the right time too, I often imagine the people I wouldn't have met if I had been born at another time (I'm a bit odd!)

Pugmummy87 · 14/03/2016 21:49

Nothing much to report here, about 12-13dpo now, so arseholey fucknuts due anytime soon. Still have sore boobs, keep getting weird stabby sensations in lower tummy.

Why does the tww drag so much?!
