Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

rae such a bum. I take it you don't temp? I often wonder with periods if its a bit "a watched kettle never boils* however that saying goes. Mine was late as you know, and for no reason what so ever. Hope you get out of limbo soon.

Lots of Canterbury people! I know that Moroccan, is it down a side street in town? I've never been but heard good things canters

RaeSkywalker · 13/03/2016 20:05

vix I don't temp but think I will try if we aren't lucky in the next couple of months. I'm not even using opks at the moment which is worrying me- I don't even know if I'm ovulating. Opks are definitely being purchased in the next few days if AF arrives!

Jamjar12 · 13/03/2016 20:36

I haven't used OPKs this month and even without using Ovia or FF, I could tell when I was ovulating because I could recognise the signs from when I was tracking it all before. I'd definitely recommend trying OPKs Rae, even if just for a month to help you recognise the signs! (Though I hope obviously you don't need to because you're upduffed already!)

I'm just outside of Canterbury!

RaeSkywalker · 13/03/2016 20:51

Thanks jamjar, that's how I'll sell it to DH I think!

Can't believe how many people have lived/ do live/ live in the vicinity of Canterbury!

vixarooni · 13/03/2016 21:13

No way jamjar I'm thinking an upduffed meet up in Canterbury is on the cards! Are you the broadstairs beach hut owner?

rae lush thing with temping is that it gives you a window into the workings of downstairs. I love it! Defo get the book if you haven't already

RaeSkywalker · 13/03/2016 21:32

Sorry to sound sense vix- which book?

vixarooni · 13/03/2016 21:44

Sorry, I forgot to mention the name! Here it is

RaeSkywalker · 13/03/2016 21:53

Thank you! I'll definitely buy it if AF turns up Smile

vixarooni · 13/03/2016 21:54

This is the 1st graph I did last month, with a few bumps along the way. I log our sexy times during the fertile week and when I've had the egg white biz. I gave up temping two days before my period started because I knew I wasn't preggers and the truth hurt. But it's great to see my cycle on paper. I do it online now, I found the app called ovagraph so I chart on there (untill I can print them, then I'll do that) hopefully this month will be better and without the two anomalies!

Canters15 · 13/03/2016 22:03

Vix- the Moroccan is amazing- definitely go! I need a good excuse to go back, will have to convince DH we need a day trip. Broadstairs also lovely!

vixarooni · 13/03/2016 22:16

I haven't been there a great deal but it is lovely. Folkfest was probably the last time. I'm quite a whitstable/deal girl. Can't beat a good walk on St Margaret's at cliffe too. I moved back to Kent from Lancashire last year so I'm still in Kent bliss mode!

RaeSkywalker · 13/03/2016 22:28

vix that's really helpful, thank you!

I love Broadstairs. Also Leeds Castle! And spent many a happy day at the outlet shopping place in Ashford.

Lyssie · 13/03/2016 23:48

Congrats Canters!!!!! :D

Jamjar12 · 14/03/2016 06:23

Yep, I'm the Broadstairs beach hut owner!

Flashinthepan · 14/03/2016 09:36

Hi all,

Can I join? I'm 27, TTC 1, Cycle 1, CD8. I've been lurking for a while as we were not planning to try until later in the year but DH changed his mind. Think DH might be like a frightened rabbit, despite his excitement, so I'm hoping I can freak out here and remain unflappable about the whole business in real life!

HepKestrel · 14/03/2016 09:47

welcome flash !
feel free to freak out here as much as you like! (we certainly do Grin)

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/03/2016 10:00

Welcome flash

I am in an odd mood today. As Dh would say "you don't know if you want a shit or a haircut" I am out of sorts. Today is the kind of day where I probably need a project one which won't cause too much mess, and when I get bored 47 minutes in, I don't have to clear up. I have the attention span of a goldfish today. I comfortably predict that I will get right on dh's nerves. I'm feeling contrary.

Happy Monday everyone.

Congratulations Canters! I hope you're enjoying your exciting bubble of happiness :)

Ever Have a fab time on your very well timed holiday.

Vix That chart looks great and really appeals to my geeky spreadsheet-loving side. I am half tempted to try one myself next month but I just don't know if the temping every morning would get annoying. And would taking it later at weekends than on weekdays spoil the data?
Maybe I will start with OPKs first and see if I need to ramp up to temps...

Rae I really hope you get an answer one way or the other soon. Limbo land must be the most frustrating part of the cycle - especially if you're used to being regular up to now. I have my fingers crossed for you.

In Kent news I was in Deal this weekend Grin. OH has family there and we spent yesterday morning walking along Sandwich Bay which was lovely. Bracing, but lovely. We were hoping to see seals but we weren't able to walk quite as far as we needed to before it was time to go back for lunch. I'll put St Margaret's at Cliffe on the agenda for next time!

I have very little to report TTC wise. I'm on CD28 of my first post-pill cycle so I am hoping for AF to show but suspect it's going to take a lot longer Sad. I was on Microgynon from the age of 17 and am 35 now, and the only break I had (about 10 years ago) I didn't get AF the entire time. We're just going to keep DTD every two days until something happens...

HepKestrel · 14/03/2016 10:14

Hi starky
I sympathise. I also am out of sorts.
I don't like it when my plan for the day gets thrown out the window before 9:30.

I wanted to book checkup for grumpy-old-vampire-cat. Rang today, to be told that his regular vet is on holiday from wednesday, but have given me appointment for today - all good ! so why am completely thrown ? The amount of anxiety/stress i feel over this is completely ridiculous. I know this !

right hep, have a cup of tea and stop being silly.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/03/2016 10:19

It's not ridiculous hep last time I took Coco to the vet to get her little face wart looked at they offered to do the operation the next day, I genuinely couldn't cope with that, I had to book it for the day after that. No reason at all other than my brain wouldn't allow it to be entered into the program for the next 24 hours. Just wouldn't compute!

InspectorPenguin · 14/03/2016 10:23

Starky Can you get out for a run? If it's as beautiful where you are as it is here it would probably do you the world of good - even if you're not a runner!

HepKestrel · 14/03/2016 10:31

starky i hope coco is better behaved than grumpy-old-cat.

he is all friendly purs until the needles come out. He then fights so hard that his regular vet is the only one who can get more blood out the cat than vica-versa!

other vet needed to sedate him, but at 18years (the cat not the vet Wink) i really don't want that option.

anyway fx! At least i get distracted from the impending AF, who is allegedly due today if i believe my app.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/03/2016 10:42

Wash your mouth out with soap inspector Grin lol I'm definetly not a runner! More of a gentle amble if the mood takes me, sprint if there's something chasing me! Grin Might see if I can time a dog walk to coincide with nobody pregnant being at the farm we walk past! Dsis has a horse there so they all know me and they're aaaaaaall preggers! It is beautiful here though! Been sat outside basking like a lizard with a jumper on to aid vitamin d!

My dm text me this morning saying she's accidentally had some shoes delivered here so I'm just waiting inside for them to be delivered now.

hep Coco has a reputation at the vets. Weighs less than 6 lbs, has to be sedated with a muzzle to have her nails clipped! She's not heavy enough to grind them down herself, even with walks on concrete! Won't allow anyone to pick her up. I assume they inject her in the same manner you would a wild lion in the serengetti, with a blow dart!

Morning all, been sick all weekend with fever so just catching up. To whoever asked about adopting from China, I have no direct experience but I would say no. No adoption process is simple, and you have the added complexity of trying to deal with corruption and language barriers. Anyone watched Twinsters? A brief glimpse into the myriad problems faced.

Anyway, Kwick the cat seems to have been stuck in a chimney, however he has recovered fully and is back in asshole mode again. Joy. Loving your PMA this month.

congrats Canters so pleased for you Grin

Canters15 · 14/03/2016 11:05

Vix- im originally from West Yorks so not far from where you were. Glad I'm not the only person crazy enough to give up north for south- I always get asked when I'm going to move back oop north! I really like it down here but the house prices make me so sad!

I'm off work today after being on call over the weekend. Looks lovely and sunny out but I can't be bothered to move and am still in bed. I'd love to blame pregnancy but the sad fact is I am a lazy cow!
