Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

I'm impressed with your dedication jem Got everything crossed for you!

Loving the blog idea starky I'm signing up now! I reckon we've got the unmumsy mum of TTC on our hands here!!

Full of snot and cold here, for the second time in less than a month. I am not impressed, DTD not getting off to an amazing start. However ISW doesn't start till next week so I've time to improve - just lets hope I've not passed it on to DP!

snow sounds like you're going to have a fab life over there! Target sounds bloody amazing!

Holly300 · 10/03/2016 19:35

Fab blog starky!! Can't wait to read many more of them :) x

HepKestrel · 10/03/2016 20:06

Confused, what day are you on now?

Canters15 · 10/03/2016 20:22

I caved and poas today (10 dpo) and it was, predictably, bfn. Smack me on the wrist. Ive also finished the wine in the house, sad times.

I have an irrational urge to move to the US now. Thanks snow! Looks amazing!

HepKestrel · 10/03/2016 20:24

HepKestrel · 10/03/2016 20:35

Hey all. Long day. AF is here with a vengeance and I feel completely drained.

Starky love the blog

Confused I had 3 days of positive OPK last month - still didn't get pregnant though stupid ovaries

Hope you are all well. Can't keep up with this place, how are you all posting so much???? I'm lucky if I get to check in once a day!

Moggysinger · 10/03/2016 21:25

Yes starky!!!!! Your blog is bloody brilliant! You're a natural!

pugmummy I forgot you are a mifwife! Thanks for advice re appointments, I rang midwife today (rather than gp again) and they can book me in at 8 weeks and 12 weeks Grin the midwife I spoke to was possibly the nicest woman in the world and I want to bagsey her as my midwife now!! She explained everything and put me right at ease Smile

ElleSarcasmo · 10/03/2016 21:34

So pleased with all the fellow Poldark/Adrian Turner fans!

LovelyFishy that was a really lovely post about your DH and being in this together. It must be so hard not having your mum Sad. I understand your anxiety, but she might have struggled TTC for so many reasons, most of which wouldn't be heritable.

I have been feeling a bit fed up too Ever and Skip, for similar reasons. I don't think this will be our month either-we just haven't dtd enough. Again. Also managed to miss the peak OPK despite doing them every day except Friday last week-if it was Friday then we did dtd Saturday and Sunday at least.

Jam I hope Hugh the gnome is nowhere near your ear!

Haha Starky love the shampoo picture!

Welcome newbies and welcome back Canters!

ElleSarcasmo · 10/03/2016 21:55

Skip so pleased your cat came home! Do you mind me asking why you wouldn't consider IVF?

Kat hope you can sneak in some action!

Ah nights suck Pug! Hope you have good snackage and that you sleep ok post shift. Got my fx for you!

Nice to see you Miley, hope the sun and some rest sorts you out next week Flowers

Ooh love your blog Starky! I cried laughing at the stonewashed dungarees!!

Love the OPK collection Jem, that's dedication!

Snow sounds amazing! That house!

SuchaJem · 10/03/2016 22:06

Woah hep that'd be quite a change! Are you considering it?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 10/03/2016 22:26

moose get as much vitamin c as you can! Hope you're feeling better soon!

hep wow! That's one heck of a change! Are you thinking about doing it? It'd certainly be a change!

canters give it a couple of days (5 of them) and then re-test. You're too early to test!

Awww you guys! I'm really pleased you're all enjoying it! I was worried it wasn't going to be funny! 😀😁☺

OH would not join me. Would make TTC tricky...

HepKestrel · 10/03/2016 22:31

OK girls.... I'm on dpo14..... Today's opk is darker.....

Left to right is monday-thursday....

Ttc#1 Lucky no.13. The one where Doreen and Hugh ride the honeymoon gondola down the fallopian canal.
HepKestrel · 10/03/2016 22:33

I took today's later nearer 9pm than 7-8 for the others...

Ni4444 · 10/03/2016 22:35

Jem that's a certified male condition!
OH: "We don't have any tinned tomatoes"
Ni:" Yes we do. They're in the cupboard"
OH: "I looked in the cupboard! We don't have any."
Ni: rolls eyes, wonders what constitutes sainthood, tries to keep patronising, sarcastic, frustrated tone from voice and face and body language, takes slow, deep breath and....opens cupboard door and points at tinned tomatoes "There they are darling"
OH: "Oh. I didn't see them"
He does it all the time!! He's either blind or stupid. I'm not sure which would be worse. How do they hold down jobs?! female colleagues do all the work

StarkyTheDirewolf · 10/03/2016 22:36

Today's is your peak or positive hep so you're having your surge, and you'll lay an egg is the next day/couple of days. Test a few times tomorrow from fmu and a few times in the day. Just checking your on cycle day 14, not 14 dpo?

Ni4444 · 10/03/2016 22:38

Hep red alert ⚠ Shagathon time!!

Ps...fabulously exciting news about potential SA job. Could they hold it for say...9months plus 9months maternity leave?! It's so hard to make life decisions while we're in this ttc limboland!

HepKestrel · 10/03/2016 22:45

I should add that I took the test a while ago, it didn't look very interesting after 1-2minutes so I left it in the bathroom,

HepKestrel · 10/03/2016 22:50

I'm cd25. Had positive opk on cd11(DTD)....
This is the first month I am using opk so still learning...

Last month I had ewcm on cd24.... (38 day cycke). I might have ovulated this late before. So:

  1. first positive wrong and I am ovulating now?
  2. this test wrong?
  3. this test is picking up hcg?
HepKestrel · 10/03/2016 22:51

Job wouldn't start till Jan 2017.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 10/03/2016 22:55

Right, now, I'm usually against this (as you all know) but, if you keep getting opk's like that for the next couple of days, POAS. If you had a definite positive opk on cd 14. And now you're getting those, I'd be thinking it was picking up hcg. Exciting!
