All sounds really good Stealth!

Glad it went well Lucie, hopefully you get 3 (or more!). Do they not give you your prescription in advance then? My local pharmacy had to order in so last time I had to wait a day for my meds.

lucieloos · 29/02/2016 12:52

No trixie, I am having treatment at the main hospital in Wales. It's massive and they have their own pharmacy which I assume is very well stocked! Got the meds now and on my way back to work. Next problem to think about is I think my intralipids are going to be too early now if my egg collection is not going to be until the 14th ahhhh

JustTrixie · 29/02/2016 13:20

Ah, imagine it will be the same with my hospital here then. How many days before transfer will it be?
Minor name change Smile last time I tweaked you had to use numbers but turns out you don't now.

BorisIsBack · 29/02/2016 13:21

Stealth and lucie, that all sounds promising, stealth your follicles sound good and healthy.

I finally got needles. Had to go to the needle exchange at a pharmacy in the backstreet of town. The uni medical centre also wouldn't give me them. My doctors surgery wouldnt give them to me, they said I had to make an appointment with the doctor which wouldn't be for another 3 weeks. I nearly cried at that point. Ho well.

JustTrixie · 29/02/2016 13:29

Well done Boris! Hopefully you can relax now before your flight tomorrow.

MPP81 · 29/02/2016 13:38

Glad your scans went well, Stealth and Lucie, and pleased you got your needles Boris! :)

BorisIsBack · 29/02/2016 14:00

Like the name change trixie :)

lucieloos · 29/02/2016 14:25

Trixie, if I have a 5 day transfer then intralipids will be 15 days before or 12 days before a 3 days transfer. The 12 days would be fine. Dr Sher says 10-14 days before transfer. I will ring and see if they can push it back a few days but it was a massive struggle to get this appt so not sure they will.

Well done Boris, hope you have a good flight tomorrow and enjoy Brno. Good luck for egg collection on Wednesday.

Hi banana, so far so good thanks :).

Boris - what a stressful time you're having with meds and applicators! Glad you've got it all sorted now, and have a good flight! You're nearly there!!!

Lucie and stealth - glad your scans went well :).

Trixie - nice name change!

I just got baby bombed by the neighbours! Popped round to ask a favour and they announced they have their 20 week scan in a couple of weeks time. They're lively so I'm really pleased for them, their 15 month old is very cute so sure the new one will be too. It's just not fair. Xx

lucieloos · 29/02/2016 20:40

Thanks Sammy and sorry to hear about the baby bomb but hopefully you will be joining them soon. How are your meds going? When do you have your next scan?

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 29/02/2016 20:57

Yeah I know, now I keep thinking 'ooh it'll be nice if our babies are 5 months apart' lol. Talk about mood swings, 1 minute I'm thinking I've got no chance, the next I'm planning play dates with the neighbours!

Meds are going fine so far, the patches irritate the skin a little, much the same as having a plaster on for a few days does, but tolerable. My next scan is Friday morning. I'm terrified that my lining is going to be ridiculously thin again, but I guess with the anti nausea meds as a back up I can just up my estrogen dose.

Can I ask who samdog and joberyl are? Xx

BorisIsBack · 29/02/2016 21:59

Aha sammy sorry about your baby bomb.

I just read the consent forms fir the clinic. Do they do egg collection under General anaesthetic Shock Shock didn't realise

loopylou1984 · 29/02/2016 22:17

My egg collection was just a sedative, Although I remember very little about it so may as well have been asleep!
I can't remember Lucie mentioning a GA.... Xx

BorisIsBack · 29/02/2016 22:23

They've said not to eat or drink for 6 hours before the procedure that requires General anaesthetic but haven't said what procedure. I assumed egg collection.

I'm not holding out for an answer to my question about what the general abasthetic is for. They've been crap at answering my emails. They still haven't confurmed the amount of prognyl I need to take or if im ok to take anti biotics with other meds.

lucieloos · 29/02/2016 22:27

Oh haha sorry Sammy I copied my reply from another thread to save me typing it out lots of different times but obviously you didn't need the bit about samdog and joberyl

Glad all is going well so far and fingers crossed for your scan Friday.

Boris, the anaesthetic is amazing and nothing to worry about at all. My mum came with me last time and was laughing at me as I came back to the room and was saying ohhh the anaesthetic is sooo lovely, it's the best part about all this. I don't think it's a general anaesthetic that's just what they call it. They put a drip in your arm and you will feel all fuzzy and go off to sleep but it's so light that by the time they've finished the procedure in 10 mins they will take you off it and you will be awake almost straight away. You don't feel tired or anything afterwards just back to normal.

OP posts:
lucieloos · 29/02/2016 22:28

Oh and yes Boris don't eat or drink anything from midnight before egg collection.

OP posts:
stealthbanana · 29/02/2016 22:34

boris when are you meant to trigger?

I believe you just stab in all the trigger shot hark at Dr stealth Sorry your clinic are being so crap, you should definitely complain.

lucieloos · 29/02/2016 22:55

Stealth is right Boris you use all the trigger shot. If it's Pregnyl it should be 5000iu.

OP posts:
BorisIsBack · 29/02/2016 23:25

The prescription was for 10000 ou. I've just take it, all of it Confused. Damn

BorisIsBack · 29/02/2016 23:25

It was pregnyl. 4 syringes to mix with my crappy needle exchange syringes.

BorisIsBack · 29/02/2016 23:50

The clinic also told me to take Gonal f and orgalutran last night and again this morning, then pregnyl tonight. But the pregnyl instructions say clearly not to take until after 30 hours after last stimm medication. Confused

lucieloos · 01/03/2016 07:09

That's ok Boris, sometimes they give a higher dose you basically just take the whole thing whatever they gave you so you have done it right. I've never known anybody wait 30 hours after last stimm to do trigger. I've probably done mine around 22-23 hours after last stimm as they need to time it precisely with the time that they are going to do egg collection. Sounds like you've done everything right so don't worry now and go off and enjoy Brno if you can Smile

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 01/03/2016 07:13

Boris I agree with Lucie, the anaesthetic sounds like it's just a sedative. And it really is amazing. I just felt a bit like I'd got memory loss from a night of drinking. There were fuzzy memories of part of the procedure, but not a lot.

I can't believe your limited instructions with your meds, that is really bad. Keeping fx that everything works out for you. What time is your flight? Xx

lucieloos · 01/03/2016 07:19

Im not sure it's a sedative as you are actually out cold and have no recollection of the procedure at all. They wouldn't be able to wake you unless they took the drip out of your arm but it is good stuff. I'm a little nervous about my egg collection in this country after having it out there. They've told me I should be sleeping but if they wanted to ask me something they could and they also said I could take my iPod in to listen to as well if I want which makes me think I must be half awake. Eeekkk I don't mind too much so long as I don't feel anything.
