Mpp sounds like things are back on track, really pleased. TTC is tough on you both. Be kind to yourselves.

Mpp I often count my cycles as you do because I have such a short period.... I didn't count it like that this time tho.

Lucie sounds like it's all about to start for you. Fingers crossed that the nhs deliver a great result.

Sammy and stealth hope the meds are working.

As for me... Scan yesterday was good. She found 8 follicles left on each side (dunno what happened to the others). 4 on each side are measuring over 10mm, 3 are over 18mm. I feel really bloated. My lining is 13mm. I called the clinic and It took a few hours to get through. When I did they told me to take a drug on Sunday night that I don't have a prescription for. So I spent several hours yesterday trying to work out what to do. They eventually put egg collection back till Wednesday so I can get hold of the right drugs on Monday morning. It's all been Really stressful. I had to speak with 7 different pharmacys to see who could order it for me on a Sunday. It's still not gaurenteed I'll get it on time. But hopefully we travel to the Czech rep on Tuesday. Hopefully the extra day if stimms won't over cook my already massive ovaries.

lucieloos · 28/02/2016 09:16

Boris, that's a lot more like it with your follicles! I think it's better to have that many than 35 as it could have been dangerous! What sort of sizes are the ones over 10, are they near to 18 as well? It seems like you don't have the trigger shot which you take a couple of days before egg collection. That must be stressful. Do Ali's have any in stock? I know they sorted weekend delivery for somebody but it wasn't cheap. If it wasn't on your original prescription I would ask reprofit to pay for any delivery costs.

I didn't have enough Gonal f or the trigger shot, was really surprised by their instructions on the phone to take these drugs. They didn't even bring up my records or want to read the scan report. The doctor was lovely though.
The biggest follicles are 19.8, 11.2, 13.2, 18.4, 13.6, 14.2, 12.1, 18.0 mm
Ali's aren't answering calls or emails. It changed hands in early January and I think the new management are not particularly helpful.
Sainsburys in the next town to me will try to get me extra Gonal f and the trigger shot for Monday.
I've started taking the orgalutran with Gonal f now, hope it all works.

stealthbanana · 28/02/2016 09:45

Boris is it ovidrel? Are you in London? I have my pen already but won't need it for a few days at least. We can sort something out if that's helpful. Let me know.

BorisIsBack · 28/02/2016 09:49

Thanks stealth that's so kind! It's prognyl I need. I'm down on the south coast, not far. I'll be ok, but that is just so lovely if you to offer. X

stealthbanana · 28/02/2016 10:12

Ah different form of hcg - that's a shame!

No problem at all, one of the things I'm truly grateful for is how easy it's been to get the right drugs etc - so v happy to help. So stressful for you, hope you can chase down what you need. If sainsbury's falls through healthcare at home might be able to help? Good luck!

lucieloos · 28/02/2016 10:28

Reprofit are interchangeable with Ovitrelle or Pregnyl they don't really mind which is taken as they both do the same thing. They normally prescribe Ovitrelle if it's being posted out or Pregnyl if you are in Czech as it needs to be kept refrigerated. I suppose it might be hard work getting hold of them again now though? Could be worth a phone call though Boris if stealth is happy to do that and then you can have your egg collection on time and not have to worry about going over.

Boris - to lucie's point, just pm me if you change your mind. Happy to help!

star1980 · 28/02/2016 11:07

Almost shed a tear just now at how lovely this thread is - such helpful ladies. Very best of luck Boris - I hope you get your drugs in time. What a pain they didn't prescribe it initially. Grr.
No update from me and no nothing about ivf drugs, but I'm quietly following and cheering you all on... Smile

bananafish81 · 28/02/2016 11:37

Just wanted to say big hugs Boris and loving the warrior women solidarity on this thread #squadgoals

Ovitrelle is interchangeable with Pregnyl as lucie says. It's just ovitrelle is a pre filled pen that has to be refrigerated (or at least mine was) and Pregnyl has to be mixed. Wishing you tonnes of luck and hope you're not feeling too uncomfortable xx

Trixietwenty16 · 28/02/2016 12:18

I've not been getting notifications for some reason, just popped in to see if AF had arrived for Lucie (glad it has and I would count yesterday as day 1 provided it was full flow) think I may be a bit overly invested in your cycles!

MPP, great to hear that things are back on track Smile

What a nightmare Boris, sounds ever so stressful but you're doing everything you can and I am sure it will all work out ok.

lucieloos · 28/02/2016 12:28

Haha thanks trixie! I only had a bit of pink on wiping yesterday and some brown gunk (sorry) but when I woke up this morning it was full flow so I think I will probably count day 1 as today or I will just tell them at my scan tomorrow and let them make their own mind up. I've also decided if I only have 2 embryos at day 3 again then we are definitely going to transfer both of them on day 3. I don't think there's any point waiting until day 5. It would tell us there was a higher chance of success if one made it to day 5 but if it's going to make it then it will in or out so may as well just get them back.

Trixietwenty16 · 28/02/2016 13:14

Ah, yes, day 1 today then. Sounds like a really good plan!

MPP81 · 28/02/2016 16:50

Thanks for your comments all! Just waiting for my temp to go up now. :)

Boris, that's annoying you dont have everything you need. Fingers crossed you get it in time, though what a lovely lovely offer from stealth! This is such a fab group :)

That sounds like a good plan, Lucie. As always, everything crossed for you. Glad things are underway! :)

funnybeanz · 28/02/2016 22:26

Hi everyone, I'm trying to keep up with everyone's updates and gave my finger's crossed for those for whom the last few days and next week or so are crucial!

Just a quick simple question, have any of you made any changes to your diet or lifestyle during the ttc journey? I think I'm generally healthy, go to the gym (although not enough as I should) and try and eat healthily but also love treats and indulge quite often. I'm also a massive tea fiend so have a lot of cups each day, don't drink too much but when I do I probably have too much. I think I'm quite normal and I'm not really concerned but I do wonder if I should cut down on the tea and try and make more effort to not eat sugar etc. But then I think if I'd have done that when we first started ttc I'd have given up all things nice for 13 months for nothing and that thought makes me angry. So...do people think it's important, should I make some diet changes or shall I just carry on as I am?!

lucieloos · 28/02/2016 22:53

Hi funny, I have made some diet changes in that I mainly drink decaf tea and coffee now as it tastes exactly the same. I try to up my protein and lower carbs especially when under going treatment and cut back on sugary things and alcohol as much as possible. That said I will have a treat day each week and maybe have a couple of glasses of wine and a nice meal. I think it's just all about being sensible really. People who conceive naturally don't watch what they eat and drink so I don't go too overboard with it or let it worry me.

Good luck with scans today lucie, stealth and anyone else having them today (Apols on phone so difficult to scroll back)

How are you feeling sammy and Boris?

Hi to everyone else will do personals when I'm on my computer xxx

BorisIsBack · 29/02/2016 08:59

Funny - I've cut out alcohol from my diet and most caffine, I allow myself one coffee a day. Other than that I take suppliments vit b, cq10, pregnacare, selenium.

Right I have the prognyl and additional Gonal f but no syringes for the prognyl. Any ideas where I could get them from? The pharmacist wouldn't help.

MPP81 · 29/02/2016 09:10

Good luck to everyone with scans today!

Funny, I'm generally trying to eat healthier and also trying to lose some weight. I take seven seas trying for a baby.

Glad you got what you needed Boris. No idea on the syringes though. Ummmm.... would your GP surgery be able to help? Or another pharmacist?

MPP81 · 29/02/2016 09:12

A quick Google says you might have to go to a hospital to get one. Apparently some pharmacists will exchange them, but not just give them out. :(

Trixietwenty16 · 29/02/2016 09:22

Could you get them from the place where you had your scan Boris?

Trixietwenty16 · 29/02/2016 09:23

Ps good luck everyone having scans today!

lucieloos · 29/02/2016 09:42

Boris, I ring around pharmacies before trying to get hold of extra syringes but they wouldn't give them out unless I had a prescription med and then sometimes the syringes would come with it. They also advised me to try my gp. I think that's going to be your best bet. I have plenty of spares but won't be able to get them to you in time.

Sneaking out of work in 20 mins to go for my baseline. Have the usual knot in my stomach again. Hope it goes ok. Good luck for yours too stealth.

stealthbanana · 29/02/2016 10:23

Hope your scan goes well lucie!

Boris I too have loads of needles but probs too late to get them to you.

My scan went well, doctor was happy with the way I'm responding & lots of the smaller follies are starting to catch up too. He doesn't count follies but just from my sideways eyeball of the ultrasound I've got 3-4 at c 14mm and still 20+ between 10-12mm.

Doctor would like to keep going low and slow to get the most eggs possible, so has nudged back my gonal f from 150iu to 125iu. He is saying it's most likely that EC will be early next week - he's happy with mature follies being anywhere up to 26mm so I've got some headroom with the slightly bigger ones.

Next scan Thursday. So feeling happy, although this all seems a bit neverending!

lucieloos · 29/02/2016 12:17

Stealth glad you're scan went well and they are slowly getting bigger. Hopefully it won't be too much longer now.

Samdog, hope your bleeding has stopped now!

Joberyl, brilliant news about your job and also the time off for treatment. Sounds like it's all falling into place!

My baseline scan all went well. She said the lining looks nice and thin which is how they want it at this stage and ovaries look good. She gave me my prescription there and then which is short flare protocol again. I have done this once at reprofit and whilst I only had 3 eggs collected like most other times, 2 of the 3 fertilised and both made it to blast so I'm happy to give it another go. I start suprecur tonight and 300iu Menopur from tomorrow which will be day 3. I have another scan next Tuesday which will be day 10 of my cycle but equivalent of day 9 as I normally start meds on day 2 and not day 3. They think egg collection might be 2 weeks today but they will know more at next weeks scan. Just waiting for my big bag of meds from the pharmacy now. Eeekk here we go again!
