Sammy sending thick lining and anti sickness thoughts your way!

Nomio that sounds awful, I hope the drugs are doing their thing and you feel better soon. Take care!

Rosie I always tell people to wait until AF is due to test because I'm a massive hypocrite Grin I tend to POAS at the slightest opportunity. When I was pregnant with DS I got my bfp at 11DPO. That was after a very disappointing and emotional bfn on 10DPO though so it's worth holding out as long as you can.
One of the frustrating things about TTC/symptom spotting is that pmt symptoms and early pregnancy symptoms can be pretty similar. Fx for you!

Wildone welcome! I've always wanted one of the fertility monitors but I have irregular cycles so not much use to me. I've heard mixed reviews, some people swear by them but others seem to get inaccurate readings. Do you just use OPKs normally or do you track anything else?

Bird being late and getting bfns is a frustrating place to be in. I hope it gets resolved soon.

Sammylou, I hope you don't react too badly. Just think, it'll all be worth it in the end. Sending you lots of luck.

Thanks Magpie, I am really trying to be patient, but I've always been the same, want everything yesterday. We'll just have to wait and see, keeping my PMA as don't usually start PMTing until a few days before AF.

I want to tell you all how great I'm finding it on here, you are all lovely and really supportive. I hope we all get lucky soon x x

Waves to all our grads. So lovely to see you pikz and purdie :) stick with us girls, we need your support.

Nomio that's not good. Flowers for you.

Wild, welcone. Sorry I've not used a CB before someone here does though. I just used the really cheap opks from Amazon but I always wanted a CB monitor

Rosie step away from the pee sticks. A Frer could pick up a bfp this early but might not be too reliable. The average day women first get a bfp is 13 dpo. Try to hold off for a few more days

I'm off for my nightly injection of hormones. I have 35 eggs brewing inside me that need a bit more stimulation....

Thank you Purdie :). How are you? And your two little ones?

Lol, magpie thank you!

Nurse - I hope it'll be worth it, but it's hard to believe after a previous failed round.

Boris! Enjoy your jab! Lol.

I've got an estrogen patch on. It's the same type menopausal women have! Hmm

Welcome Wildone!

Nomio sorry to hear about your back - I hope you recover quickly!

How was your acupuncture Magpie? How are you finding it?

Rosie In a slightly perverse way I cope better with seeing a BFN before AF arrives so tend to POAS a couple of days before AF rocks up (a habit I really should break). I use the online countdown to pregnancy calendar thingy to make me hold out as long as possible. Hoping your cramps are a good sign!

Boris I hope the injection went well? 35 eggs sounds like a lot - wow! (sorry, I'm not very knowledgeable about IVF but presume that's good news right?)

Sammy Good luck starting your medication, and hope your anti-sickness meds work!

Bird Hoping that you get a late BFP, but if not that AF rocks up quickly. It can be so frustrating.

Enjoy your month off Rainy It'll be nice not having to stress for a month Smile

Hello to everyone else - enjoy your weekends.

Hi everyone, thanks purdie and pikz hope you are well.

Ghengis, I have been on this bus far too long. We have been trying to conceive since 2013 and I've seen lots of people come and go on here and some even come back for a sibling but never had any luck myself. I don't come on here so much now but still read up on how everyone is doing and pop my head in from time to time. This past year we have been having IVF treatment in the Czech Republic. We had one failed transfer last April and since then we have done 3 more cycles but have been freezing and banking up any good embryos rather than transferring them at the moment. We now have 4 frozen embryos ready for whenever we want to begin transferring. I'm due to start my first NHS IVF next week so will see how that goes first. Anyway just thought I would do a little intro for those that don't recognise me.

Hope everyone else is ok and wishing you all lots of luck Smile

Hi Lucie, I'm sorry things aren't going to plan for you. It must be so disheartening, but keep you faith and hope and I'll keep FX for this next round with the good embryos.

Magpie, tell us about the acupuncture. My friend does it for pain relief and says it's really effective so FX it'll work for you too.

Nomio, I hope you are trying to rest your back and it feels better soon.

Good morning everyone else, I hope we all have a positive baby making weekend x

Hello all! The acupuncture was great, I love going so much. She was very positive about my chances now I've been diagnosed with PCOS. She'd asked me a couple of times if it's what I had so thinks it'll really help my treatment now it's been confirmed. She's all about complimenting the work of my gynaecologist. I also find acupuncture is great for my mental health, especially anxiety. I feel so relaxed after a session, I'd go every day if I could!

Rosie how are the symptoms today? Are you managing to keep away from the pee sticks?

Boris that sounds like a decent amount of eggs! Hope the injecting and brewing is going well.

Sammy how are you feeling? Hope the anti sickness drugs are doing their job!

Rainy not long until clomid now! Enjoy your break.

Genghis hope you're having a good weekend!

Lucie wishing you all the best for next week Thanks

I'm fine so far, but the nausea didn't kick in until about 5 days in last time. Xx

The acupuncture sounds amazing. FX it'll help things to progress.

I'm convinced I have PMT and not PG. I'm still spotting but seems more this morning and more brown than reddy pink (sorry for the TMI). I have no idea what to expect, what is normal or how I should feel. Really frustrated this morning. Think I'll just wait and see what happens in the week.

Magpie glad to hear the acupuncture is going well for you. I've never had it so interested to read that you're having a really positive experience. I do hope she is right about your chances!

Sammy, fingers crossed the nausea stays away!

Lucie thanks for sharing your story. You've had a hard time of it, so I really hope that this coming cycle is the one for you. Can I ask why you have been freezing rather than transferring? Is it easier on your body? Please feel free to ignore me as I know it's none of my business. Regardless, the very best of luck for next week!

I like your positive thinking Rosie

Thanks Rosie and Ghengis. I don't mind talking about it so ask away. I am freezing because I am 36 now but ideally we would like 2 babies and the way things are going I think if I start this over again in a couple of years time it might not go very well so I'm hoping there's some chance of getting 2 good ones out of our stockpile although would be happy with one at the moment. Also a lot of doctors are starting to say frozen transfers may be more successful as like you say it allows time for all the stimulation meds to be out of the body. I also like the idea of separating the stress of stimms and egg collection etc from the 2ww. It's just too much altogether.

Magpie I love the sound of acupuncture. I'm just not sure I could cope with the needles. Blush. I'm glad it helps.

Rosie I hope you get an answer soon.

Still no news from me. I checked I'm currently on cd30 and my longest cycle has been 38. So I might be in limbo for a while. Apart from cramps and pain from near my lap scar no normal PMT. Nor no symptoms to spot. I've had a little more discharge that normal but no more than other cycles.

Just butting in to say I had acupuncture on the NHS every week during the last trimester of this pregnancy for chronic pelvic pain (SPD) And It Bloody Works. I'm such a sceptic about alternative therapies & was very negative about it all....until it worked for me (not every single time; it's not an exact science, I guess). The needles don't hurt one bit. No idea whether it works for fertility but good luck!

Good luck lucie hope it all goes well for you.

Sorry you're feeling frustrated rosie. Hope you're out of limbo soon.

I had two months of acupuncture before my bfp. And agree the needles don't at all. I can't wait to start having it again. My appointment is next Wednesday.

Sammy fx the nausea stays away this time!

Rosie that sounds very frustrating. It's horrible when you're not sure what your own body is doing. I hope it sorts itself out soon.

Bird sorry you're stuck in limbo. I hope the cramps and pain get better soon. I decided to get acupuncture after reading positive things on here. The needles are very fine and I never see them going in. I get strange sensations from them sometimes but nothing really painful.

Purdie glad to hear it helped your pelvic pain! I've got a couple of relatives that have had acupuncture for pain related things and it helped them too. My DH is also quite skeptical but even he's coming round to it a bit. I figure if acupuncture is something the NHS use then there must be some studies showing its effectiveness. I think there's more evidence for pain treatment than for fertility but I'll give anything a shot! Hope your family are well Thanks

Sammy, I really hope the meds work & you finally get that elusive BFP.

Rosie, it is horrible when you don't know what is going on. Our bodies can be so cruel at times. I hope you find out one way or the other soon.

DizzyM, enjoy the needles!

Boris, that sounds like loads of eggs. I am sending lots of good luck vibes your way. Smile

My back is feeling a bit better, but I don't know if that is just the medication, or if it really is. I am hoping I can get back to the gym next week, even if I can only swim.

Hopefully your back is on the mend Nomio. Your gym sounds fancy having a pool and all!

That makes sense Lucie and interesting to read about the doctors pov. I really hope next week goes well..

I can't believe all the love for acupuncture. I am/was a bit sceptical but reading everyone's experiences is eye opening. Even if it doesn't work for fertility, it sounds like it's very relaxing and good for pain relief..

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
