No news here. Still waiting for AF to clear off. We (me and DH) did have a good chat last night about all of it. He was suprisingly open about things.

I'm now cd21, I think ov might have happened yesterday but after last months false rise I'm not got to rest on my laurels just yet. Temp did jump up by over 0.2 today but I've been seeing small increases for three days so who knows. We dtd last night and cd18 but that's all. DP's SA is booked for 14 Apr, so got a little while to wait but it's nothing after the past year.

Sorry to anyone I've missed! Will try and check in more over the next few days!

I'm ok, scan went well, lining is 7mm which is the best it's been (although I'd like thicker) and embryo transfer is now booked for thursday morning!

Fantastic news sammy! I take it 7mm falls within an optimum range?

Excuse my ignorance, but how do they get the embryo in? Via the traditional route or is there another way?!

Hi guys I'm very new here so you might have to bare with me lol, I'm currently 7dpo and having snot like cm with a slight yellow twinge too it so sorry if tmi and been having constant niggles right above my bikini line & im constantly bloated, I'm really hopefully this is baby no 2 as oh has already said he doesn't want any more babies so this is my only hope really, I know I'm already extremely lucky as I already have my lo but have been craving another since I gave birth! I've already got some internet cheapies but really don't want to see a bfn so trying to stop myself from testing, I never get any pains until af is here and I've only ever had that sort of cm when I was pregnant before so am really hopeful, anyone else had any similar symptoms? I'm a terrible symptom spotter so i hope it's not a mind over matter thing, thanks again ladies!!

I hope AF clears off soon Bird. I'm glad to read you're able to have a good conversation about it all with your DH - it helps to know what the other person is thinking. After we've finished all our tests I know DP and I will have to have some direct conversations, which I'm not particularly looking forward to but needs must and all that.

Great news about getting DP's SA appointment DizzyN. Mine has his at the end of the month but may have to be away with work so it may be postponed (grumble). Fingers crossed for well-timed dtd...how long are your cycles usually?

Sorry to read that you're still suffering from the side effects Magpie. I hope this won't continue for as long as you take them, and that they'll start to subside soon. You're right, milestones are hard when TTC (mine is Christmas) and I really hope by your next birthday you'll have your baby x

Ladies I'm looking for some advice. When you ovulate late does that tend to mean AF is late? AF for me normally arrives every 28 days (last month was first one different at 26) I normally have cramping and spotting. But nothing. I've also still got creamy/watery cm normally just before spotting I dry up. My chart dipped a wee bit yesterday but has went up again today. Struggling not to get hopes up! Today I'm cd28, 9dpo xx

Hi kellz, for me if I OV late then yes my period is late. My LP is always 12.5 days without fail, even if I OV on day 6 or 14. Good luck to you though your temps look great.

Dizzyn, the clinic are now keeping an eye on my eggs which they harvested. They should be dividing and growing nicely. They check them again today (day three) to see how they are progressing. On day 5 about half of the eggs they harvested will probably have formed blastocysts which are more mature than just a few cells they are now. The rest of the eggs will probably have stopped growing. On day 5 they put the healthiest one back into me and I pray there will be one or more other healthy blastocysts to put in the freezer. I'm currently taking progesterone to support the eggs they do transfer back. Hope that makes sense. Today when they check the eggs hoping that many of them are growing as planned - it's a nerve wracking process.

DizzyN - yes the traditional route. I lay there with legs akimbo with dh at my head and the consultant, nurse and embryologist at my foof!
He pokes around for a bit (not sure why) while the embryologist gets my little blastocyst on to the end of a small tubey thing. Then I have to keep really still while he uses said tubey thing to insert the blast. It's a little uncomfortable, but bearable without sedation. 7mm is in my clinics optimum range (>6.5mm) but some clinics ask for 8mm.

Hopeful - fx crossed for you, but please don't test at 8dpo as it will be bfn even if you are pg.

Kelz- yes, if you ov late, af will be late. Generally you LP stays the same length. At 9dpo you shouldn't be seeing a temp drop just yet unless you have a very short luteal phase. Fx that temp just goes up and up though!

Kellz, I would have thought late ov meant late AF but some people can just ov late. My DH was reading online an article that said to DTD all cycle through regardless of what tracking shows. I think this was for just in case purposes and of course his excuse to have more sexy time. Hopefully it won't come at all and we'll never find out Kellz.

I am studying prescribing, it is really hard and time consuming. Will really change my job and open more doors. It's just hard trying to balance work, study, home life and baby making. Just keeping trying and we'll see.

Rosie your course sounds really interesting, of course we're all going to come to you for medication advice now
I've not had an alternative to metformin suggested but I've read that if the gastro effects don't settle then switching to extended release can help.

Kellz as others have said, LP tends to stay the same length and it's the follicular phase that can vary. If you've ov'd late, you'll get AF late. Fx it stays away though!

Genghis Christmas can be a difficult one can't it? Hoping we'll all be pregnant by then!

Hopeful welcome! Symptom spotting can be very stressful but very hard not to do it. How long have you been TTC? I'd hold off another week before testing as 7dpo is too early to get a positive. Symptoms can vary between different women and you're always more aware of things when TTC so might not have noticed certain things before.

DizzyM good luck with the OPKs, which ones do you use? I think I might take your advice and get a GP appointment booked in to discuss the side effects. I'll need to see them to get a repeat prescription anyway but I've been waiting for the gynaecology report to arrive, not here yet though!

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! I had a lovely day and managed to go out for lunch without needing to run to the loo which was good. The queasy feeling still comes and goes though. I managed to stick to my low GI diet apart from a very small slice of cake so quite pleased with that! I really need to start DTD in case I actually ov but have felt too bleugh to even attempt it!

Boris I think mine is 12 days. So if I ovd two days late then AF should be two days late? Must be my first time ovulating late lol. I have everything crossed for you honey!

magpie thank you! I've never had a late period (except when preg) so not too sure lol. Glad you had a good birthday.

I tried a test on my monitor this morning. Came back Not pregnant (which I knew at 9dpo) but the test had a slight faint second line. So will try again in a few days. Still got a bit of cm, pain in lower left side. So hoping its a good sign.

Ghengis her advice was similar to the SMEP method, eod and then 3 days in a row from positive opk but she said drop back to eod for a few days after (I'm not temping so just to cover all bases she said to keep going for a while). She advised about blood nourishing foods. I can't think of everything on there but there was lentils, spinach, avocado etc. She also said a woman should orgasm between 1-40 mins after the man as it helps to pull in all the sperm.

Rosie your course sounds really interesting. It's always difficult to balance these things out but it will be worth it in the end.

Magpie hope you feel better soon and manage to start dtd. It's no birthday without cake so it's great you managed to enjoy a little slice.

Kellz I see a line! How exciting. I think the monitor would need a much stronger result to give you a possitive. A Frer may pick up a result earlier. Fx for you.

My day 3 embryos are developing fast and all have survived this far. The next time I hear anything will be Monday when I go in for transfer.

Dizzy & Boris I don't have a frer in but will keep using the digi ones as I have loads! Will keep you all updated.

I have read them digi ones sometimes get second lines when they are negative, but so far I've never had that happen. Just going to hope AF doesn't show!! Xx

My course is good and enjoying it, didn't really want to do it yet but had to to keep my job. Glad I did start it though so I don't have to put the baby making on hold x

I take my words back!!! I think I may ov tomorrow as the line is getting darker I was hoping I wouldn't ov until after cd12 as that seems a bit too early and I'm worried it could hinder my chances
