Genghis awesome that you're keeping the photos! How's it going at the moment?

DizzyM sorry to hear about your DD, I hope she's feeling better now!

Boris that DVD sounds very cool!

I don't feel right starting the new thread, so will pass it onto the next person who posts. It's a bit like pass the parcel and the music stops at 1000 posts.

Oh dizzyM so sorry hope she recovers properly quickly. How stessfull!

Genghis I've kept the ivf scans of my growing folicles (on DVD no less) so i can show my babies where they came from in great detail :)

Nearly time for a new thread! Anyone want to start it?

Oh no, your poor DD DizzyM - that must have been very frightening for you all. I hope she's on the mend, and will soon be back to rude health.

Well we had to abondon our ttc efforts as DD has had a viral infection resulting in a hospital stay for a week! Hopefully we'll be back home tomorrow and will catch up with you lot when DD is settled.

Hello everyone - it's been very quiet on the bumsnet bus! Hope everyone is well, and enjoyed the weekend?

No news from me, but have made a definite decision to keep my hsg photos :)

Boris that's the best analogy ever Grin

Genghis definitely keep them! So are you holding off until the 19th for testing? Sounds very sensible!

Kellz glad the scan went well!

I definitely think you should save your HSG photos. I don't know why I didn't! It would be like giving your kid the estate agents photos for their first ever home.

Nearly time for a new thread!!

Glad to read the scan went well Kellz - it must have been a real relief. I go in for a blood test on 19th but will poas before I go in because I don't think I would cope very well having to go in to collect a piece of paper with the results and then have to walk all the way home (no just phoning them here).

I'll keep that in mind Magpie! Maybe I should even keep my hsg pictures to show them? I'm sure any potential children would appreciate them Grin. Thanks for your good wishes!

Genghis Im really hoping i dont get it again! That does sound like a good reason not to go to the gym!! Glad today went well, when do you get too test? Take care!

Magpie Scans are always good to see baby, hope youre keeping fine

Infact i had my private one on Saturday, i was sooooo worried baby wasnt growing, as the epu scan i was 6+4 but baby was only 5+2, but i was 8+6 and baby was 8+6 too so i was sooo relieved!!

Been feeling rotten, and DH has been awful but he took me to the cinema last night so i cant complain, was nice to have some us time for a change, i have tomorrow, thursday and friday off work too :)

Sounds painful Genghis, good that he managed it in the end. I'm sure in 18 years when you're looking back on it all whilst your child is throwing a teenage tantrum, it'll all seem worth it! Grin so are you on the countdown to testing now? Wishing you loads and loads of luck! Take it easy BrewCake

A Christmas baby - how lovely Magpie! I will pass on the opks due to the stash which arrived with my thermometer but thanks for the offer.

The IUI went okay this morning - there was just a slight issue when he attempted to do the insemination. I seem to have an extremely forward tilting uterus so after a number of attempts he ended up having to pull it back to get the tube thing in - a lovely experience altogether! According to him this could be a reason, or at least a factor, for our conception issues..

Hope everyone is doing well?

Genghis I think some relaxation time sounds much more sensible than the gym for you right now! As sad as I am that there won't be Genghis triplets, it's probably better for you in the long run Grin all the best for tomorrow morning, I'll be thinking of you!
My due date was moved forward by 3 days to 4th January. Likely to be induced a couple of weeks early because of the GD though so looking at Christmas!

Boris I can't stop laughing at the little general comment, I'm imagining placards and everything!

DizzyM we conceived DS using SMEP (probably had more to do with the Clomid) but had a lot less action to conceive this time. Loads of people swear by it but it can be a lot of pressure!

Kellz I'm glad to hear they'll be treating you straight away and extra scans are always a good thing!

DizzyN any news from the estate agent?

I put it on the FB group but not had any takers. So in case any of you didn't see the post, I've got some leftover OPKs if anyone wants them?

Report
GenghisKahnSchmitz · 04/07/2016 00:04

Good luck with the SMEP DizzyM - we attempted it but because I wasn't using opks, it ended up just being eod, and a massive sigh of relief by about cd20!

Hurray for BabyMagpie (and happy birthday to your DH)! Did they correct the due date to when you thought the baby would be due? The GD sounds pretty tough so I really hope it all goes well for you Magpie

I hope the asprin and folic acid work Kellz. That gestation hypertension doesn't sound very nice at all!

Well thankfully my follicle decided not to listen to the call for triplets Grin and on Saturday, it was just back to two leading ones. I took the trigger shot last night and go in on Tuesday morning for the insemination. It currently feels like my ovaries are throbbing...which I decided was a perfectly legitimate reason not to go to the gym!

DizzyN I hope it wasn't too hard going back to work after your holidays.

We also tried SMEP once or twice and failed.... Then DH spoke to our gp who said EoD was sufficient, or even every third day. and so DH took his little general on strike and said he wasn't doing it that often anymore...

Congratulations boris. How exciting! I can't believe you're half way through now.

Ghengis I feel rather put out now as nobody to date has complimented my insides! Agree about the triplets, get it over and done with Grin Hoping it all goes to plan for you and the third follicles behaves.

Dizzy sorry for be bfn and house situation. Shocking news about the coffee but at least you've worked out the trigger now.

Magpie great news about your scan and well behaved baby! Hope you manage to keep the GD in check through your diet.

Kellz it's reassuring that they're keeping an eye on you. Hope things are plain sailing for you the rest of your pregnancy.

Cd12 for me and a positive opk. We've been attempting the SMEP this cycle and hoping we can stick to it we've failed in the past!

Genghis thanks :), right now im just eating what i can, a lot of it is fruit so thats lucky lol

I agree with the triplets, its all done in a oner lol

Magpie im not 100% sure if its for that, she just said due to new guidelines i need to take it after 12 week scan because i had gestation hypertension in previous pregnancy, so guess its that. However even though im taking that i have been told i will probably get it again anyway, but this time they wont leave me struggling through to 37 weeks, with being in hospital lots, they will treat me right away.
Hope youre ok with the GD, i was worried id get it last time since i am quite heavy but i escaped it, hoping i escape it again.

Awww thats fab!! glad about the extra pic, i get extra scans so im looking forward to them all again, was worried iw ouldnt get as much this time as i did last time, but i am getting the extra 4 xx

Boris I hope the name is your actual job! His hair has been looking worrying neat since the referendum, you must be slacking!

Genghis you could have 3 baby Genghis!
With the GD, at the moment I just have to be really strict about what I eat. I ended up on insulin last time even though I was really strict with the diet (even lost weight in my 3rd trimester!) DS had low blood sugar and had a NICU stay after he was born, so very worried about that happening again.

Kellz glad the midwife appointment went well. Is the aspirin for DVT risk?

DizzyN sorry about the bfn and the house stuff. I hope you get a moving date soon! Glad the smear test went okay.
Yes, sadly GD is pretty common in women with PCOS, you might still manage to escape it though!

I had my dating scan yesterday which went brilliantly. Apparently we have a well behaved baby which is more than we could say for DS during his scans. The sonographer even rewarded us with an extra picture. I felt strangely proud Grin

Glad your midwife appointment went well Kellz! -Good point about the scales - I'd blocked that part out :)

Gah! Bad news about the house move DizzyN but glad the smear test went well. I hope that doesn't mean you have to stop drinking coffee - I don't know how I'd cope if that was me! Sorry I wasn't clear, he'll only do the IUI if there are one or two mature follicles, and at the moment I've got two maturing with a third also growing so I want the third one to stop (because you know, that's how it works - I am the ovary whisperer! Grin) I totally understand his reasoning and agree, though the negative part of me is like, what's the chance of conception anyway?!

Congrats Boris

Genghis i like the idea eat to feel better but the scales wont if it carries on lol

Had my midwife appointment today, i need to have aspirin from 12 weeks and a higher dose of folic acid but went well. back in 2 weeks xxx

genghis sorry for my ignorance but why won't they inseminate if there's a larger follicle?

Estate agent doesn't think we'll be ready to move when we'd hoped Sad. I had a McDonald's breakfast and a coffee to cheer myself up. I'd realised that coffee was what's been causing my acid reflux. So I've now got that to look forward to later Hmm

I'm going to carry on packing anyway. Only because my flat looks like a bomb has hit it.

Smear test went 'well'. The nurse was absolutely lovely and wasn't fazed when I told her we're ttc and Af is due (didn't mention the bfn this morning). I did ask some questions whilst she was 'in' there.....I hadn't realised this (a bit of common sense and I should have realised) but they only swab around the neck of the cervix (obviously!) not inside the womb (duh!) so with that in mind the test shouldn't affect anything if it had been a bfp this morning (other than the test results).
