Pebbles! My lovely! It's so good to 'see' you! It must be a very stressful and apprehensive time for you in the run up to your op but just think, once you're healed you can start the IVF process properly..... There is still so much hope, I promise!

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 06/02/2016 14:04

Dizzy Definitely think your GP should at least do bloods to confirm your diagnosis. Can you push for them?
Also why not drop some hints for the metformin.... Can't do any harm, I don't think?! Although obviously it would be better if your GP just let you try it! Angry

Village oh no! Does he absolutely have to go?! I know how soul destroying it is when you are told to stop ttc for a month. And the agony of possibility waiting 6 months is an unbearable thought- I get that. If he has to go, he needs to shower himself in 50% deet and cover up completely plus sleep under a mozzie net etc etc. Bite prevention is key.
But if possible I would see if he could get out of it! Could he be honest bout you ttc and see if that changes the companies view?

Cwtchy Fingers crossed that AC works again for you..... Wakey wakey little ovaries! Grin

AFM- I am now officially PUPO with a grade 1 hatching blast! :) We have 2 other hatching blasts going strong plus an expanding blast and a blast which Dr Loudelka (who did our transfer) said he expects to be good enough to freeze. We also have a Compacted Morula+ and a Morula which he is giving an extra 24 hours! We are completely overwhelmed with how things have gone and feel so so lucky to have got to this stage.
Thank you so much for all of your advice and support all- it has been of more help and comfort than I could ever have imagined.

Pebbles hopefully Bananas BFP and my embryo success give you lots of hope! Never. Give. Up! Xxxx

CwtchyQ · 06/02/2016 14:23

rosebud I have zero knowledge of IVF! What comes next? So pleased that you're getting on so well. Really looking forward to seeing your BFP!

Really hoping I ov soon... this sex eod business is EXHAUSTING

bananafish81 · 06/02/2016 15:01

Pebbles high AMH is great, it just means they need to stim you very gently to stop your ovaries going off like rockets. There us no reason IVF shouldn't work for you - whether you ovulate or not naturally has no bearing on IVF success, as the Dr is in the driving seat with the hormones that will grow lots of eggs for you. You have every reason to be very very hopeful Flowers

rose woop!! That is bloody amazing missus!!! Check out your amazingly clever ovaries producing such brilliant quality eggs to make such spectacular embryos. Hugest congrats on being PUPO and hope the coming days fly by. When is OTD? Soooo excited for you Grin

Hope you ladies are all well and having lovely weekends

I had my second blood test on Thu and the levels are going up and Dr is happy - going back on Mon for a third beta hCG to check all is on track. Then I think viability scan 6-7 weeks - so that'd be week after next hopefully. Eek!!!

RoseBud2016 · 06/02/2016 15:09

Cwtchy! Essentially we have made some really high quality embryos (grade 1 is top at my clinic) and anything that is at the blast stage is developing really well! So we have some great contenders and one already snugging into my lining for the long haul!

Next step is POAS which is supposed to be in 2 wks on 20th Feb but that is essentially 19dpo which I think might try my patience a little too much. I'm liking the sound on Valentine's Day better...... But I'll see how things go and how I feel. Banana what date did you test in the end?

My AMH is over 99 btw Pebbles so what Banana said!

stealthbanana · 06/02/2016 15:21

Woo hoo rose! PUPO! So excited for you. That's great news about the quality of the embies. Come and join us on the Interminable Waiting Seat of Boredom…

Pebbles, my amh is also really high – I think it's 70. As banana says, it's probably on balance a good thing when it comes to IVF.

Hi to everyone else, sorry I'm on my phone so missing lots

Went to acupuncturist last night, I told her that I found it annoying that I had absolutely no symptoms of ovulation. She said, "well, in Chinese medicine, it's a good sign if you don't have any symptoms – symptoms mean that there is difficulty or some sort of blockage in ovulation". FFS! I just internally rolled my eyes and thought "bollocks".

Hello all and happy Saturdays.
Bananafish and Rosebud, I am beyond excited for you two lovely ladies. It’s great to have some progress on this thread and especially as you guys have been through so much and for so long.
I love the new thread title – I am really hoping it’s the lucky one for all of us.
I am super behind on the thread again so won’t try to do personals to all, but have noted down a few things while trying to catch up on the end of Thread #3 and browsing the new one!
Dunlin, great news that your tubes are clear – I hope you get on well with the clomid.
Stealth, I can’t believe you had to have a cocktail to prove you aren’t pregnant. Some people should really mind their own business.
Bananafish, thanks for your thoughts (and your consultant’s!) on the scratch. I decided to go for it as the clinic was recommending it without being seen to recommend it (IYSWIM) and the nurse said she hadn’t ever seen any complications come from it. So I thought I didn’t have anything to lose (except some money and the usual hectic dash from the office to go to hospital for yet another appointment, but hey ho). It wasn’t too painful at all, thankfully – my HSG was rather more uncomfortable.
Isit, Flowers – sorry to hear you’ve been struggling a bit. It sounds like you’re doing all the right things to put yourself in the right place (physically) when you and your DH are in the same place (geographically) next time!
Ain, welcome back. I wasn’t posting at the beginning of the first thread but had read the whole thread and wondered where you’d got to! Sorry to see that it wasn’t a miracle instadiff that kept you away, but nice to see you anyway Grin. And CwtchyQ/ Ponty and Pebbles, welcome back too!
Stealth, great news about your IUI going so well. Fingers crossed – when do you get to test?
Rufus, congratulations on baby Joshua-James. He really is gorgeous and it’s so lovely to see the culmination of your TTC success story!
Villagefete, I agree with Rosebud - can he open about why he doesn’t want to go on the trip?
Rosebud, you are PUPO yay yay yay! I’m so pleased for you. It’s wonderful news that our Thread Fairy Godmother is well on her way. I hope you can keep yourself busy during the TWW (or 8/10 etc day wait!).
Bananafish, it was such great news to read about your positive (early!) test and now your blood tests too. Simply amazing news, especially given all the worries you had about going from PCOS to pre-menopausal at 34! Well done for sticking at it.
Having had the endometrial cratch on Thursday, I’ll be stopping the pill tomorrow and then have my baseline scan on Friday. For some reason I’m fearful that I’m going to fall at the first hurdle, and that the baseline scan won’t reveal quiet enough ovaries to get going with the stimulation (the last time I had a proper ultrasound was last summer, when they found a completely unexpected 10cm cyst which I then had to have removed). Anyway. I must think positive – this time next week I might already have done my first set of stim injections! My AMH is 117 (or at least, it was six months ago) so I'll be on a pretty low dose of gonal-f to start.

RoseBud2016 · 06/02/2016 15:39

Fee completely normal to feel so apprehensive. Unfortunately that apprehension stays all the way through the IVF cycle but you've just got to keep telling yourself "one step at a time" " slowly, slowly, catch the monkey!" GrinWink
I had a full on panic attack early this morning thinking everything was about to go horribly wrong and all our embryos had died Blush DH had to calm me down and wipe my sweaty brow...., it was that bad!
So one step at a time my lovely xxx

RoseBud2016 · 06/02/2016 15:40

Stealth when is OTD for you?

OP posts:
chandelierswinging · 06/02/2016 16:14

Woo hoo PUPO Rosebud!!!! Got everything crossed for you. Valentine's Day sounds like a good test date!!! I know I couldn't wait until 19dpo!

Banana Yay, the bloods confirmed what you knew already!!! Really frickin chuffed for you. You've had such a rollercoaster this last year on the board and loads before that too, I know and you've dealt with it all so well. Keep us posted!

Cwtchy Welcome back!

Fee Good luck for your scratch and scan.

Village What a worry... Keep your eyes peeled on the Dept of Health guidance and talk to a HCP if you're worried.

Sorry for the end of the personals! I'm on my phone and can't flick back a page without losing the message!

AFM: Had my "booking in" with the mw, and a scan (heard a HB!) and appt with my cons. Next stop is the 12 week scan!!!! I'm still struggling with the sickness and have just started on a different drug to help. The GP/cons/mw are all of the opinion that me feeling so rough is a good sign. Here's hoping.

CwtchyQ · 06/02/2016 18:26

chandelier fab news! I was disgustingly ill with my DD (40 times in a day one day!) And was told repeatedly that it was a great sign, and obviously it was. So although you feel utterly crap, it's actually a really, really good sign!

Rosebud thank you for giving me a quick education! Grin V day sounds like a bloody fabulous idea, do it!!!! How very exciting!!

stealthbanana · 06/02/2016 18:30

Forgot to sayCONGRATS RUFUS! What a gorgeous little bundle.

And yay for chandelier! So pleased things are still going well for you. Onwards to the 12 week scan.

Rose, OTD is I think Wednesday week (17th) which would is the first day I would have a missed period if I had a 14 day LP. So I'm thinking I could do an early test on maybe Saturday or Sunday? I'm skiing next week so it would be good to know before I get too heavily stuck into the fondue and vin chaud!

CwtchyQ · 06/02/2016 18:31

stealth I am still reeling from the electroacupuncture I had yesterday - holy fuck! I am really hoping it does something, although I don't have any ov symptoms either.

stealthbanana · 06/02/2016 19:53

What is electroacupuncture? They zap you with needles? Do tell!

bananafish81 · 06/02/2016 20:02

I had electro acupuncture for my lining. No idea if it did anything as I suspect it was all the HRT tablets that did the work but fuck it, I was gonna try anything to try and get the oven warmed up enough for transfer. Felt like a TENS machine except in all sorts of places at once!!

CwtchyQ · 06/02/2016 20:18

stealth basically what banana said! Most of the needles go where my ovaries are and generally around that area, and she gradually turns up the voltage (?!) each time as you get used to it. It feels like a Slendertone. I feel like I've done an intense workout today though.
banana how many sessions did you have? I am just so desperate to try anything, even if it's ultimately doing nothing, just to feel like I'm doing something! If that sentence even makes sense.

I'm supposed to be having sex tonight but I feel so bloated and gross. The glamour!

Pebbles086 · 07/02/2016 00:21

rose PUPO!! Can you actually believe you've got this far!! So happy for you!! Hope Cupid brings you the best present ever on VDay! You have given me a wake up call that I should feel positive that it could be and maybe things could work out ok.
Banana busy ovaries is another hurdle to jump with a high AMH. If I get to try IVF I'll be back with a bucket full of questions!
Glad your Beta is getting higher, it's amazing to read your success.
sleath will you try zappy acupuncture? sounds like it could wake up the ovaries! Shock anything is worth a go. cwtchy hope it works!
fee you sound like your torturing yourself with the "what ifs and buts" it's hard not to. But you have every chance of your baseline being fine and things going ahead for you. FX for you.
village hope your DH has a safe trip and your not put back too much. A small break may do more harm than good. It's so hard not to let this take over our lives and be the centre of everything we do. I know how each month can seem wasted if you haven't BD at the right time.
chan in the nicest possible way, I hope your sickness continues if that's a good sign of a strong baba! Weird to wish sickness on anyone! Hope the meds control it and it passes soon. Glad the scan went well x
Sorry if I've missed anyone. I'll be keeping a close eye on the thread and willing you all on. Hopefully will have some good news to report after my op and appt.
Lots of luck to all of you xxx

Ain626 · 07/02/2016 09:29

Rose it all sounds exciting!!!

I have just read through loads of posts and now can't remember what everyone has written! Blush

CwtchyQ · 07/02/2016 09:57

Is anyone else on any herbal meds? Agnus, inositol etc?

Ain626 · 07/02/2016 09:59

Giving soy a go this cycle Cwtchy but wondering if agnus would help...

CwtchyQ · 07/02/2016 10:25

What are your cycles like at the moment ain?

chandelierswinging · 07/02/2016 11:22

I don't think you're meant to combine soy and Agnus castus, from memory, though I can't recall why. Perhaps they do a similar job?

I did a soy cycle last summer, which was my awful mc and mmc cycle. I think I probably didn't need to take them, as I was OVing every other cycle anyway. I took them from cd3 and had a migraine on cd7 (I think), which was when I took my strongest dose. It may have been coincidence, but I do wonder if the soy caused me to release two eggs, and that perhaps they weren't mature enough. I'll never know though.

CwtchyQ · 07/02/2016 12:59

chandelier is right, I don't think they can be combined because they are both quite potent. AC will shorten long, irregular cycles but will completely bugger up normal cycles.

That's interesting about the soy, and obviously bloody awful. I'm so very sorry you went through that chandelier. Flowers
