When I went today my lining was 7.2 and still got about a week until my app says I will ovulate. Mind you the nurse was a complete cow today

Shell So what happened with you today? What did the nurse do/say? I only had a basline scan on day 2, and then another scan today on day 10. That's it for me now, i'm on my own just me & the clomid! So are your follicles mature enough to release an egg/eggs? I'm hoping i'll ovulate & that my lining improves between now & ovulation day.

mysterious Hi! Oh don't worry, certainly no offence taken by your post from me. So, i'm on day 10, does that mean by ovulation day my lining may have thickened to over 7.5mm? No use ovulating if I can't sustain a pregnancy. The sonographer/nurse said lining looks good and it only needs to be over 6mm?

Village the nurse just seemed to have a pure attitude!! Felt as though she was having a pure go at me because I had more than one follicle growing! I only have one above 1.8 though but there's 3 at 1.3 which could still grow... Follicles need to be over 1.8 to release an egg.
I go for scans every two days from day 10 until ovulation. I'm sure you will village, just keep an eye out for signs!! I'm sure your lining will still grow!! Mine went from 6.1 on Wed to 7.2 today! Do you have tests etc?

Shell I'm confused?! My follicle was 13mm & she said it needed to be between 18mm & 24mm to release an egg, but you're saying yours is 1.8, do you mean millimetres? We are lining twins, mine is also 7.2 As I say though, hoping it thickens up a bit before Ov (which she thinks will be between Mon & Wed) The only test i'm having is via my GP and it's a day 21 blood test to confirm ov, hopefully. No more scans or anything else for me now. Just me & the clomid. Praying it works first time around x

It will surprise you how much it can grow in a day or two!! Have you got ovulation tests to take? Even start taking your bbt and checking your cm! Can help you with ovulation! I had all the right signs last month and dtd but still no go! Hoping this month goes to plan too! Xx

Ladies having a bit of a conundrum! Booked for my HSG this week, had cd 1 & 2 (or so i thought!) from thursday however totally disappeared today. Had loads of EWCM this morning so totally randomly took an OPK and its a super positive! Not sure what to do now. Had my HCG level checked at GP on thursday to get my HSG booked so know im defs not pregnant as it was

Thanks for the kind words ladies. I'm calming down a bit now I think. AF is still going though (now on day 14 I think) but slowing so will be over soon I hope.

Village I wish I could be more helpful but I didn't have follicles monitored on Clomid, just bloods on day 21 to check progesterone levels.

Shell I'm about the nurse you saw. I think they sometimes forget the subject that they're dealing with and don't treat you like a person. There's no need for a nurse to have attitude with you!

Nurse that sounds odd - to be honest I would probably go ahead on the HSG just to get it out of the way. OPKs aren't reliable for pcos - I had a positive one but my bloods said I didn't ovulate.

Hi isiti!! I've also had this before but it was the darkest opk ever and I had the ewcm to match so think I might have actually ovulated yesterday or today! I didn't have a positive opk in this cycle before you see, I'm technically day 38 at the minute, think what I thought was the beginning of af was maybe just some slight breakthrough bleeding. Not sure what to do!

Nurse I don't know what I would do... it's a tough one! Have you been dtd? You don't want to do anything that could jeopardise if you have dtd and ovulated!!

Just read about you guys experiences with opks etc...is it normal to quite often have the signs but not actuall ov with pcos? I used to use opks and still occasionally do them and have had a couple where they are positive but only just (use the cheapies so the lines have to be the same or darker and I've had a few where the test line is just the same colour) and i get ewcm quite regularly but obviously not ovulating as my complete lack of periods can attest to! I also sometimes get the really painful cramps you get right before you come on, but never get the period. Can anyone tell me if this all typical of pcos?

Mysterious bat - yes all of these things have happened to me! I find that if or when I actually ovulate my opk test line is super super dark! If it's a false positive it's only just ask dark as the control line. Also look out for the ewcm. I find I only get it for a day or so when I'm ovulating - no other time! My gynae consultant said cramps can be you're womb trying to clear out but obv the hormone imbalances are allowing it - my cramps have much improved from getting more regular cycles with metformin. At least one day a week before I had bad tummy cramps now I rarely have them! Hope this helps

I'm day 3 post norethisterone. Still waiting for AF, how many days have other people waited following norethisterone or provera?

mysterious unfortunately that sounds normal to me. I have had such a frustrating time with opk's. This whole thing is so fucking frustrating.

Well, i'm on day 13. No "peak" reading on my clearblue advanced monitor yet, nor on my Boots opk's. Infact, the lines seem to be getting lighter, not stronger i've had a "high" reading since last Monday, it never read "low" at all which has worried me a little. The nurse last week told me i'd probably ovulate between Mon & Wed, so if I don't get my peak tomorrow i'm going to be really worried. I thought things would be more straighforward with Clomid. I'm so stressed out.

Ah wonderful. All part of the fun of pcos then....
I have my fingers crossed for you village. You have two more days though so don't fret as yet, i know that's easier said than done thougb

Previous cycles I have had cramps and thought I was going to come on but then it's been another 2-3 weeks in the coming with intermittent cramping. So I guess maybe normal? Oh, the joys!!

Hope everyone is having a good day. I've just had a good chat with my GP. We have agreed that we are just going to see how things go for a few months post miscarriage. In the mean time I am going to adopt healthy living as my new mantra and see if I can get things kickstarted a bit.

Hi! I'm literally just popping in to celebrate - my 14 day AF is OVER
It's been bloody awful but I am now going to enjoy dtd (for fun not just making babies) and I'm going to drink which I know is naughty but I don't care!

Village I know the feeling! Went for my scans today, one follicle at 2.2 but my lining went down to 6.2. The nurse seems to think I have ovulated but no signs etc! Oh well will just need to wait until wed and look out for signs! Have you been dtd just in case? Don't worry though! Worst thing you can do!!!

Well don't know how I'm feeling today tbh.. getting abit scunnered with it all again but maybe just one of those days and the hormones! Feel like giving up... especially now my lining has dropped 😐

IsitI 14 DAYS???!!! You poor thing. You drink that wine, it's the least you deserve.

Shell How fucking frustrating. It's so shit how we don't get any definite answers. What day of the cycle are you on? So, am I correct in thinking your follicle needs to be at least 18mm to ovulate, and the nurse feels you already have ov'd and now your lining is dropping because you've ovulated? I really have no clue about all this. It's new territory for me. Wish I had all those scans. I'm in the North West and I only had a scan on day 2 and day 10. No more now. Feels like it wasn't £500 well spent to be honest, especially as my ov tests aren't picking up that i've ov'd.

Oh and yes shell DTD on Thurs, Sat, Sun but may miss tonight and just DTD again tomorrow and Wednesday. My info sheet tells me I should ov 6 days after my last tablet. Well that would have been yesterday but no signs of it on Clearblue monitor or Boots OPK. I've booked a blood test for day 22.

Village do you not get it on the NHS? I'm in Scotland and get it all on NHS. Well think the nurse is right just went to look and there was EWCM sorry for tmi! I normally start to get scanned on day 10. I'm on day 17 today! Xxx

I had some tests done by the NHS and also had a hycosy but that was it, but I do have a DD already (about to turn 7, so conceived when I was much younger with no hint of PCOS. She was a happy surprise)

So, will that EWCM mean you are ov'ing now? Even though your follicle is only small? Doesn't it need to be 18mm at least? Well your lining is over 6mm and according to the nurse I spoke to, anything over 6mm is classed as ok?
