Hi
Love the fact that we are keeping the thread going.

AbFab of course you should stay here - it'll be nice to see a success story unfold Smile

Cd53 for me. No AF but some niggly cramps so I think it's on it's way. Will be POAS tomorrow I think, just to be sure before I open the wine as I'm home alone until Monday Wine

RoseBud2015 · 12/06/2015 18:49

I'm home alone (well I have the dogs for company) until Monday too IsIt! I hope one way or the other you know what's going on soon.

Ab definitely stick around! Would love to hear how you're doing and we all enjoy your witty one-liners! Smile

Rosebud How freaky, I'm currently tucked up on sofa with my dogs lazing all over me, snoring away.

I'm enjoying the peace but really focusing on the twinges in my stomach now. also had to work with colleague that I don't really like today who is pregnant (a surprise baby). She's 21 and wouldn't stop talking about it. Was a horrible couple of hours

Hope everyone else is doing ok

mistletoe I read your post on the last thread and I have to say, I think you're fantastic. I'm so sorry that this has happened to you, but the fact you are getting right back to it is admirable Thanks I look forward to reading some good news from you in the very near future!

I have work in less than 2 hours and I just really can't be arsed. TTC is just not happening at the moment, work is hugely getting in the way not to mention an angry teething baby I'm trying to stay cool about it all but everyone who had their first around the same time as me is pregnant with their second and whilst that's fineeeee, it just adds a subconscious layer of pressure that is completely unnecessary. Everyone seems to fall pregnant in the first month or so of trying and I get asked when I'm having another and although they don't mean to be rude or insensitive, it does feel like a wee kick in the teeth.

Rant away... people just don't realise do they?
It's my birthday at the end of July. I was talking to my mum about it the other day and she couldn't understand why I was feeling down about it.
I always used to enjoy birthdays but now it just reminds me I'm running out of time Sad

popcorn I get the birthday thing. I have a big birthday coming up and I'm going to be an age where I always imaged I would either have 2 children or be pregnant with my second. It's really focused my mind on how much time I wasted waiting for the right time to try.
And we've officially been trying for 2 years now, which sort of makes me despair in my worst moments Sad

Pony rant away, it's what we're here for!

mistletoe I just read your posts in the other thread and wanted to say I so admire your attitude and I'm going to try and draw some inspiration from it. Hope cycle 2 brings some good news.

isit I totally get how u feel. I waited too many years and now and again I blame myself for being in this position. But we really shouldn't.

I spoke to a friend from uni two days ago after quite a while and told her about how I felt that I had delayed it and what if it meant it was too late for me now. She pointed me towards this article about how outdated the stats are that are quoted in articles re reduced fertility in your 30s. I found it quite uplifting and thought I'd share it here:

Hello all Just a quick placemark and update post. CD5 here and third day of SI... So far so good. Had some headaches but AF plus the pre thunderstorm weather hasn't helped, so not sure it's necessarily a change due to the SI. Here's some Cake Brew Flowers and Wine for anyone who needs it.

RoseBud2015 · 13/06/2015 14:40

AF turned up this morning! Grin Nice of it to be so prompt after taking Provera.... means 100mg clomid starts tomorrow! I'm actually quite excited about this next cycle. I'm feeling much more positive now Smile I've left a message with the clinic to book me in for my next follicle tracking scan.

Popcorn- your cd30 today right? Are you due to POAS?

Isit I had the dogs lazing all over me on the sofa last night too. They were snoring their little heads off bless them- Love them! How many do you have? I have two shih tzus.

Ponty Hope work goes quickly for you! What do you do? I know exactly how you feel with people asking when you will have another child. DH and I have been married for almost 3 years and I'm getting pretty sick of people constantly asking if and when we will have a child together. I had a meeting at work the other day with a woman from a local university that I hadn't seen in 6 months, and the first thing she said was "Oh I was expecting you to have a bump by now! Are you not planning to have any children" Angry I barely know the woman!!!!! Angry How long have you been TTC? I'll add it to the stats.

Cobblestones Great article- thank you for the share! I'm expecting some crazy hormones to kick in this cycle on 100mg! We can be mad crazy women together Wink

Vixx Was thinking about you the other day when I was updating the stats, and wondered where you had gone! How long before you can start 100mg? Will you go for blood tests/scans as before?

Chandelier I'm looking forward to finding out what affect the SI has on you! It's one thing I always considered trying myself before I was referred but never had the guts to actually do it! Will you temp this cycle?

ShortyK and Shell- are you out there? How are you both doing? x

mistletoe Flowers You are strong to be trying again this cycle. I'll definitely have my fingers crossed for you that the next one is the right one for you and will be a sticky bean.

[popcorn] I get the birthday thing too. It's my birthday in a couple of weeks... Sad

I thought it had been ages since I posted on here again. Was only yesterday morning! So I have no new news.

um hello... may I join you?

my stats: 26, TTC#1, cycle#3, CD9, last cycle was 50 days long. Started temping recently so hoping to spot an OV rise at some point.

Report
AttilaTheMeerkat · 13/06/2015 18:21

Bear in mind however that temping and PCOS are uneasy bedfellows; you may get a chart that is impossible to determine with any degree of accuracy (PCOS charts can look like the Rocky Mountains). Also you can get a temp rise in the second half of the cycle when an egg has not been shed so charting anyway is not infallible.

If your cycles have been consistently over 35 days I would go to the GP sooner rather than later. It may be possible for you to have blood tests done to see what your hormone levels are like; you need a day 2 test done initially to compare your LH level against that of FSH. With PCOS, the level of LH is consistently higher than FSH and this does affect ovulation to its detriment.

Hello susurration Of course you can join us. Grin

I've just recently started temping too in the hope that there will be some sort of pattern, but will just have to wait and see I guess. My chart isn't tooooo rocky mountain like and suggests I ovulated on CD33, and I am now 12DPO which I'm hoping is true. If it is this cycle will be considerably shorter than the 9 months or so of the previous one! But like I say, all new to temping, and it may not be right anyway...

My referral appointment is 2 weeks away now. Feels like an eternity, but scarily close at the same time... I'm really nervous about it actually... Confused

RoseBud I have 3 terriers - they're all jack russells crossed with various others. I was naughty yesterday and took them up to bed with me as DH isn't here (they aren't usually allowed upstairs) but I needed cuddles.
Fingers crossed for this clomid cycle for you!

cobbles try very hard not to kill your dh while the clomid rage is happening, you're going to need him soon. Grin

chandelier what is SI? Sorry if thats a silly question, I just can't figure it out

susurration Welcome Smile Have you seen the dr or had any tests at all?
Good luck on your cycle! Im not very good at temping so can't advise on that but I definitely recommend keeping a diary of sorts (moods and symptoms - although I also track sleep and what Im eating). It has helped me learn to recognise AF warning cramps (I had random rare periods for years so was always taken by surprise) and has actually helped with random things like learning migraine triggers and the kick in the arse to my hormones that happened when I take Clomid.

Ain I think nerves are normal, because a lot rides on what the consultant says. Have you thought about questions that you want to ask? Not sure if you're more calm and collected than me but I go to my appointments with a written list and get DH to make sure we get the answers so I don't forget anything.

As for me, Im on cd55. Still no AF, although I am having some mild cramp-type twinges. And I POAS again today - BFN. I was expecting that but am really confused about whats happening with my cycle now. They were settled at around 40 days, although he last one was 30 days. And now I think AF is going to come just in time for my holiday, which is a bugger.

I am feeling really positive about the 100 mg. I hope you are too!
