Anyone else starting their 2ww?

Hi all

I think I am 2dpo and think AF is due 4th Feb so 13 days until I will be testing, if AF doesn't arrive.

I know it's not really possible to have symptoms this early but I have had frequent urination, excessive saliva and a slight metallic taste in my mouth today. I think it must be all in my head, because I don't remember having these symptoms the last time I had a BFP (which ended in an early m/c).

Is anyone else just starting a 2ww?

Lily I'm sorry for your BFN. At least you didn't have false symptoms, so they are more likely to mean something when you do get them? Sorry, if that is a lame consolation.

Kate that's very odd. Hope you have answers soon. Not knowing is the worst.

All my symptoms stopped yesterday at 6dpo, but today I had thick, white lotiony CM and back ache. Otherwise, don't feel pg at all (in fact, I have more energy than I have had in ages), so don't think this is my month either. Only 5 more days of waiting before I can start testing. I'm keen to start the next cycle. I feel like I am understand my body so much more now after using Ovia.

Good luck today Kate

I'm spotting so AF is just round the corner but I'm excited that it's a new cycle. I'm lucky that the Clomid is doing what it should and it's made my cycles go to 28 days as well. Before they were 28-34 and ovulation at random times.

I had back ache and the same CM but I do think that from reading other people's experiences anything goes when you do get preg. Loads of people told me good things about that CM but I didn't turn out to be pg.

I need to relax more next time!

How did you get on Kate - hope u are ok?

HopefulKate1980 · 30/01/2016 18:23

Hi!

Thanks so much for asking Lily... The doctor at the EPU did a blood test and my HCG is 162. They said it is very unlikely it is a new pregnancy and it is more likely to be caused by residual tissue which should pass with my next period. They said to do another pregnancy test in a week & call them if it is still positive... Yesterday I had some brownish blood and today I had a bit more but now it has stopped again. So I guess AF is on its way?

I must admit I am disappointed as a tiny tiny part of me hoped it might be a new pregnancy but I knew it was very unlikely. I couldn't resist doing a p test this morning and it is still positive but I guess that is to be expected. I just want my body back and my cycles to return to normal. So frustrating.

I feel so so tired at the moment. I think my body must have taken a real battering over the past few weeks... We are going out for a friends BD meal tonight. I can't face it to be honest but at least I can drink now!!

How are you guys feeling today?

FlyingSpaghettiM0nster · 30/01/2016 18:29

I'm currently 3DPO, I haven't had any weird symptoms yet, but I shouldn't expect that sort of thing for another week or so (yes that is me convincing myself not to symptom spot!)

Out of curiousity, what apps do you all use to track ovulation?

Lily35 · 30/01/2016 19:39

Hi Monster!
Good luck this cycle. How long have you been trying?
I use Ovia - I think it's great and if anyone picks up my phone it's not overly clear what the app is from its name - which I like (unlike Fertility Friend)

Kate - enjoy having a few drinks I think you deserve them. It's very tough waiting all the time. Hopefully you AF shows up soon!!!!

I'm on cd 1 and start my tablets again tomorrow. It was bday yesterday so I've drank what I wanted, eaten what I wanted and away now chilling for a week with OH. So not all bad

HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 11:38

Ah sounds lovely Lily! Have a great relaxing time.

The bleeding has totally stopped now and have tugging pains in my tummy & sickness, so am worried that I may have an infection brewing. It is a shitty rainy day in London so I am just going to cuddle up on the sofa and try not to worry about the future or what we have lost.

Have lovely Sundays all x

HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 13:38

Ladies. I need some help!!!

I have just had a high fertility test on my OPK after having negative ones for a few days. But how am I about to ovulate when I'm still getting positive p tests?! I thought AF was on its way as I had spotting on Friday & Saturday.

What's that about?! Any thoughts v v welcome!

X

shopaholic85 · 31/01/2016 13:56

Lily Happy birthday. Enjoy your week away - you deserve it after all this waiting.

Kate, OPKs can pick up pregnancy hormones too so that might explain it?

I caved and took a pg test yesterday. BFN obviously. At 9DPO it was expected and I feel so silly for having no willpower. But this morning I woke up feeling sick and rushed to the bathroom, but there was nothing. Now I feel fine. I wish my body would stop making me think I am pg when it is very likely that I am not. And to top off what has been a pretty rubbish year, I found a lump in my breast Sad It's probably nothing and I am going to get it checked out on Monday, but I just thought 'FFS - isn't it enough I lost my baby a few weeks ago?'

HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 14:11

Oh my god! Are you ok? That must be frightening. Could it be a leftover from the miscarriage? I'm so so sorry. I really hope the doctors put your mind at ease v soon. Is your DH being supportive?

shopaholic85 · 31/01/2016 14:20

Thanks Kate. I'm fine, but a little scared. I had a benign lump a few years ago that went away on its own so I am hoping its the same this time. DH is being supportive, but he gets upset if I use the 'C' word.

OP posts:
Lily35 · 31/01/2016 16:50

Shopaholic - hope u are ok. That's scary but like you said - could be same as before.
9dpo is still very very early - so maybe your BFP will come in a few days? They say imputation could still be happening at 9dpo so there maybe no preg hormones yet.

Lily35 · 31/01/2016 16:52

Kate - same as what Shopaholic said with the opks. When I was preg I tested with opks and they were positive so they must be picking up the same hormone as the p tests.

Lily35 · 31/01/2016 16:52
  • implantation not imputation Confused

HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 17:25

Last question - do any of you think there is a tiny chance I may be pregnant again? X

shopaholic85 · 31/01/2016 17:52

Thank you both! Will let you know how I get on.

Kate, did you get a BFN after the mc and before you started to TTC again?

OP posts:
HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 17:53

Sorry ignore me. It's insensitive of me to ask when you are worried about tomorrow shopaholic. Really hope it goes ok xx

shopaholic85 · 31/01/2016 17:54

Not insensitive at all. It must be really hard not knowing what the positive tests mean.

OP posts:
HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 17:54

I don't remember to be honest. I did a Opk & it was positive but could be picking up residual hormones..

shopaholic85 · 31/01/2016 17:59

Then it's really hard to say. I don't think anything is impossible as people can get pregnant in the time between MC and AF, but only if pg hormones have gone down to O first, which kickstarts ovulation.

Have you got anything planned to keep you busy while you wait?

OP posts:
HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 18:03

Work will be busy this week so that will help. I don't feel like AF is coming so we are going to keep DDT and see what happens. All v confusing. X

shopaholic85 · 31/01/2016 18:18

Look after yourself though. Busy work weeks make me skip meals and messes with my sleep. You are still recovering so be kind to yourself. And good that you are DTD still, but be careful of infections. We were told to use protection until I had my BFN.

OP posts:
HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 18:25

I will thanks Shopaholic
You too - wishing you tons of luck for tomorrow X
