Anyone else starting their 2ww?

Hi all

I think I am 2dpo and think AF is due 4th Feb so 13 days until I will be testing, if AF doesn't arrive.

I know it's not really possible to have symptoms this early but I have had frequent urination, excessive saliva and a slight metallic taste in my mouth today. I think it must be all in my head, because I don't remember having these symptoms the last time I had a BFP (which ended in an early m/c).

Is anyone else just starting a 2ww?

I'm finding it very hard not to obsess about every single twinge my body makes. I am still getting positive tests - and we are 3 weeks nearly after surgery, (although 4 since the baby passed), and I am getting strong Opk tests. I'm bloated like I am before I come on too so have now started to think I may have retained tissue which could explain my symptoms. Just desperate to get back to normal & start planning again. Do you think I could have retained tissue?

I'll call the EPU if I am still getting positive tests on Friday & haven't had a period.

When will this end ladies?! Getting back to work today definitely helped though.

It does sound like you could have retained tissue. I take it you are no longer bleeding? I would give them a call tomorrow and tell them - leave it to them to decide when to get you in for a scan. You don't want to risk infection or anything. But then again, it could just be the Hormone not quite gone yet.....good luck.

Yeah not bleeding anymore. I'll call them tomorrow if nothing has changed thanks. So frustrating isn't it?! X

It's so frustrating! I definitely feel you. It was horrific and I was gutted it had happened to me but you just want it to end so you can back to normal and try again.

According to Ovia I can test today but I'm not going to! I'm going to wait til sat for AF and save myself some money because I am defo not feeling pg.

I haven't heard about Ovia before I joined mumsnet, is it useful? I'll get on it when this bloody period comes!

Just spoke to the EPU and they want me to come in for blood tests. Got another clear positive this morning. So I'll go tomorrow or Thursday is if AF hasn't been by then and see what's going on. More complications would be a nightmare.

But I did get my day 21 blood results back and the score was 51 which was good and means I ovulated!!!!!
Very pleased with that - one thing less to worry about.

Lily, you have more willpower than me! I'd have ripped open the test already. If your AF is due on 30th, are you testing on Sunday? I might do a test then...

Kate, I hope it isn't retained tissue but if it is then you have done the right thing by calling the EPU.

Shopaholic - I think if AF hasn't arrived in sat then definitely will test Sunday..... Feels like ages away. Good luck to us!

No AF here yet - but feel like I am getting more bloated by the day so it is coming. Also had period cramps so I think AF is firmly on her way. I can't wait to get it over with. I am going to go to the EPU on Thursday (can't get out of work before then).

I'm bloated and have back ache and some cramps - but these can be PMS symptoms plus Clomid side effects so it's really hard to tell! It's too hard this waiting lark!

I am definitely testing on Sunday, though Ovia says I should wait until next Tuesday. I'm still peeing more than usual and can't get rid of this metallic taste in my mouth. Plus I had a sharp pain in the left side of my stomach for about 10 minutes as I was lying in bed last night! My best friend is worried that I am getting obsessed and has told me that metal mouth is more likely an iron deficiency. I spoke to my sister today and she was very reluctant to play along with the symptom spotting. Both know how devastated I was after the m/c and are are trying to protect me, but makes me feel I can't talk about this stuff without sounding like a crazy woman. Has anyone else found that?

God yes. Very hard to find anyone who understands. I have only one friend who has gone through ectopic and now 3 rounds of IVF (now 21 weeks pg) - who kind of understands.

I totally totally understand - none of my friends really get it. And have NO idea how confusing & upsetting it is when your body is doing strange things and how hard it is not to obsess. I feel like my whole life is on hold until I know whether it's possible to have our own baby and that is something they just don't understand. I can't blame them, It's just the way it is but it does make you feel v lonely. We are in this together though girls!!

Good news. I got a negative p test this morning! I'm still feeling very bloated and my womb is definitely up to something but feels like a period not like ovulation. Should I start doing ovulation tests now or wait until AF? It's all so confusing!!!!

That's good news Kate! I waited for my AF and then got started with a fresh cycle but it's totally up to you. I did use ov tests though after my MC as I wanted to try and judge when my AF would arrive. I did get a positive but I didn't TTC. You end up using loads of them that's the only thing. I think it's totally up to you and how you feel...but does sound like AF could it's face soon?

I counted my MC bleed as cycle day 1, I got +OPK on cycle day 24, then AF came on cd 37.

I think I was quite lucky (if I can say that??) as I seemed to pass everything quickly but after my last negative test it was still about 2-3 weeks before AF arrived.

I caved!
BFN :( as expected......but here's the next cycle #2 on Clomid!!!!

Is it not too early though Lily?? Sorry if it's true, it will happen v soon. It's all so confusing..

I got two negatives yesterday and a positive this morning. I don't understand. No symptoms so pretty convinced it's leftover hormones but why would they be different??
I'm going to the EPU tomorrow so will update you.

I had SO much to drink last night, feel shocking today but needed to blow the sadness away. It sort of helped!

Are they pg tests Kate? God that is confusing :( hopefully EPU will be able to tell u what's happening. Let me know what they say.

I don't think I tested too early so definitely BFN. I can feel AG starting. At least I know what to expect with the Clomid for next month

That's really weird - maybe you have caught again??
