Anyone else starting their 2ww?

Hi all

I think I am 2dpo and think AF is due 4th Feb so 13 days until I will be testing, if AF doesn't arrive.

I know it's not really possible to have symptoms this early but I have had frequent urination, excessive saliva and a slight metallic taste in my mouth today. I think it must be all in my head, because I don't remember having these symptoms the last time I had a BFP (which ended in an early m/c).

Is anyone else just starting a 2ww?

Not wanky! I bloody love reading and I'm well busy at work too. Plus I'm aiming for a bikini body for summer (if I can't be preg!!) so lots to do.

Ok here we go on symptom spotting

Very crampy!
One slightly achy nipple
Nausea
Headachy

I'm only 4dpo and on Clomid so I can't rely on any of them!!

Lily35 · 14/03/2016 16:11

Oh and really hungry!

But all these things could be ovulation working overtime??

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/03/2016 19:08

Okay, phew Smile

I'm getting married in June so have similar thoughts on keeping fit and trim(ish) either way, esp if not pg by then! Honeymoon = bikini.

Is the nausea better when you eat?

HopefulKate1980 · 15/03/2016 21:47

How is everyone?

Lily - what are your symptoms today?

I'm off to the hospital tomorrow to get all my bloods done to see it there is a reason for my miscarriages. They are doing 11 tests so slightly dreading how much blood that is! I hate hate blood tests. When I was pg last time my veins totally disappeared for some strange reason & I've been scarred by the memory!!

I'm now 6 or 7 dpo - suffering with bloating and tiredness but could have a bug as my team have all been sick recently.

Xxx

Theaks · 15/03/2016 22:34

Oh good luck for tomorrow. It will be fine! Hopefully the tests will shed some light, so worth it. I'm okay with blood tests, I give blood quite regular- although not been for a while as they turned me away at Christmas as it was too soon after the mc.

AnneLovesGilbert · 16/03/2016 09:08

Good luck Kate, when will you get your results and do you know what they're looking for?

Loads of bugs around at the moment so difficult to know what's causing symptoms.

Pretty sure af will be here Friday or soon, nausea mostly gone. Boobs still enormous and really painful but could be being off the pill and due af rather than a good sign. Was going to POAS Friday but think I'll wait and see what happens.

How are you doing Theaks?

Lily35 · 16/03/2016 09:09

Good luck today Kate

Do you have any symptoms Theaks?

I'm feeling normally again now so nausea must have been ovulation/Clomid. I'm really tired though and still have crampy feelings. Not sure I'm feeling positive about this month anymore :(

Back to the Fertility Consultant on Friday though.

I've been lurking on a few threads as well and so many people seem to be getting their BFPs - we have to have some on here soon girls!

Theaks · 16/03/2016 09:27

It so strange how many people are out there trying and it's taking time. I work one to one with vulnerable families and it's amazing how they just look at a male and get knocked up! So frustrating!

No symptoms I don't think, it's hard to know what's normal and what isn't anymore! I'm so confused!!! Got the occasional pain in my right pelvic area but that could be body getting geared up for AF? Oh I don't know!
Lily are you under a consultant?

Lily35 · 16/03/2016 09:50

I am yes. I've had all the tests and bloods etc. It took us 18 months to conceive so now been trying over 2 years :(

I think I'm going to be doing IVF soon tbh but I'll know on Friday. Or I might get more Clomid....

Theaks · 16/03/2016 09:57

2 years! There is no words. Are you hoping for the ivf, prob daft question but I suppose not everyone wants ivf?
We have been ttc for 18 months with 2 losses in between! Doctor said that if we don't manage to drop on we can't get any help til August.

Lily35 · 16/03/2016 10:04

I'd rather try naturally (with Clomid maybe) than jump straight into IVF... If i know it can happen then id be happier - at the moment I feel like it's never going to happen again. IVF feels full on so maybe in a few more months.....

Theaks · 16/03/2016 10:11

I get that! Ivf sounds quite scary! A friend of a friend had ivf and got her baby so was really pleased but the process sounded hard!

Lily35 · 16/03/2016 10:27

My best friend is 6 mths with her IVF baby - she spent 10k after her NHS one failed. The success rates are not great though and that worries me too :(

Theaks · 16/03/2016 10:33

Goodness how many rounds did she get for 10k. Stupid amount of money!!! I couldn't afford that!! That's really scary!

Lily35 · 16/03/2016 11:17

That's 3 X natural cycles and one FET including travel to LDN clinic. I couldn't afford that either which scares me. I think once in the IVF train the cost could snowball :(

Theaks · 16/03/2016 11:34

Yeah sounds it.
Let's think positive!
Everything will work out its just taking its time! 'Even miracles take a little time' xx

Lily35 · 16/03/2016 12:57

Just brought two more books Anne! Grin

AnneLovesGilbert · 16/03/2016 13:01

Ooh, good work Lily! What did you get?

I like that about miracles Theak. Fx for all of us having our miracles soon! x

AnneLovesGilbert · 16/03/2016 13:08

As I'm new to the party, did you all start out just seeing what would happen then starting OPK and other monitoring as time went on? Do you mind me asking?

I've been using Ovia but I wonder if that can quickly start driving you a bit potty and I haven't started poking my cervix yet.

How do you reconcile being relaxed, which everyone (annoyingly) says can help, and trying to give yourselves the best chance at getting pregnant?

Lily35 · 16/03/2016 13:46

I came off the pill in Jan 2014 and just wanted to see what happened. I never had reg cycles though so after a year of nothing I started trying to pin point my ovulation and went to see the docs. I'd been on pill so many years I've no idea what my normal is.

I certainly never did the cervix poking as I thought I'll never get it right! I also never temped as I just couldn't rely on doing it on right time every single day! And I like a lie in on a weekend so would have messed that up too.

I like opks as you can at least plan for when your next AF will arrive even if you don't BD on the right time. My DP is a chef and works shifts/lates so we needed more indication on OV. It can get obsessive though!!

I thought Ovia was really handy tbh - it's good to log things in it and it's handy for the docs -God forbid u have to go down that route. You can see quickly when last period was etc. I do sometimes compare the month I conceived to months after that which can drive me a bit mad. I've laid off that recently.

Lily35 · 16/03/2016 13:46

And I got two new thrillers which look easy reading!!

babcatboo · 16/03/2016 18:12

I just posted about my 2ww but then I spotted this thread. It's making me a bit crazy trying! I am currently 12dpo, so now feel stupid I did two cheap tests a few days ago (!) which have made me feel totally negative. I've been queasy and tired all week and was really hopeful this time as I did the sperm meets egg plan for the first time. Starting to feel like if it doesn't work this time I may stop trying and lose some weight instead. It's frustrating as my friend who started trying after us is just about to give birth. And seeing my other friend blossom and find out sex of her baby.. We were due 3 days apart until a mmc at 10w. Sorry to rant!

Lily35 · 16/03/2016 18:26

Welcome babcatboo - rant away!!!! How long have you been trying? I'm frustrated ! People are on their second children while I'm still trying Angry

Theaks · 16/03/2016 18:42

Anne, I came off the pill in March 2014 but used protection as we had a holiday booked to Florida and I was going to get drunk and go on fast rides! So we only officially started trying in October and found out we was pregnant in the December. We didn't do any apps or ovulation sticks! Just plain fun and was surprised it happened so quick. Had a mc at 6weeks. Same again no apps or opk and dropped on in June 15, MMC at 8weeks. I started using opk as the doctor suggested it. Want to stop using them and get back to pot luck, but can't now! I don't get the whole cervix checking thing in all honesty!!!
Welcome babcatboo, we are all allowed a good rant! You are amongst people that understand your frustration

babcatboo · 16/03/2016 18:44

Aww lily that must be tough 😟 we've been trying since may, it took 6 months initially but then had an mmc. At least I know I can conceive but it's just so frustrating. I just can't stand the waiting!! Especially as I've had cramping (could be af) nausea headaches bloating light headedness etc.. Probably all in the mind.
