ermentrude, a tentative congratulations to you . Like smellymelly says, I really would test again in a few days time or when af is due. When I had an early miscarriage last year, my cycles were all over the place and I tested on the earliest day that af would've been due. A week later I started spotting and then miscarriage. It seems that you can get a positive but then if the egg doesn't implant, there will be no pregnancy. That's why pg tests do say from first day period is due and not before, although obviously this is not always the case - smellymelly being prime example!! I really hope the news stays good for you though. Lots of luck and best wishes.

ChaCha · 25/06/2004 00:26

Somedays, i find that everything is fine and that kids are the furthest thing from my mind. Otherdays I can't stop thinking about being a mum. Sometimes it's just so hard! A friend of mine just announced that she was pregnant, they werent even trying. Just feeling low for some reason, probably something to do with AF and that we are moving home in 2 weeks and i've packed my medication Suppose buying a new house and moving to pastures new and green may be a good and positive start too...This cycle will have to try without the medication...

Congratulations Futurity and Ermentrude

Well here I am again, couldn't keep away, having decided that I should just get on with my life and make the most of the 2 children I have got, I still find myself thinking about No. 3. I went to the doctors 2 weeks ago to get the pill, and of course can't start taking it until cd1 arrives again. Thought I would give it one last go (although I will probably say that again next month). Making a real effort this time and Bd every other day from cd8, I am now on cd13, so hopefully not too long now before the right time.

I am hoping the fact that I have got these pills waiting for me to use, might mean that I never get round to using them, I just might be lucky this month. Here's hoping, good luck to everyone else

adviseplease · 25/06/2004 18:41

hi there
I was temping this month so I am not sure whether i calcuated my ov correctly - I think I am about 9dpo.....

the spotting vanished almost but i just found a quite red bit with a very small clot....

maybe it won't be my month after all
I have a doctors appt tomorrow about something different so might mention it then....

as for the line on the preg test, i did an asda home brand one (well, two actually) so it was a pink dot - a very strong, bold pink dot,,,,

adviseplease · 25/06/2004 18:52

sorry that shoud read I WASN'T temping this month....

I reckon i am on 9 or 10 dpo now

miranda2 · 25/06/2004 23:40

Yaagh - feeling ILL! Felt really sick yesterday which led to dh joking lots that I must be pregnant - until I pointed out that as I was only on CD15 it was impossible - then spent the night puking up...still feeling shaky etc but I think it must have been some virusy thing which I'm now getting over. But what with that and dh's work going manic in the middle of the week, we ended up last bd on CD11, so guess I'll just have to wait til next month!
Good luck everyone, xxx.

ChaCha · 26/06/2004 00:32

Ermentrude - fingers crossed buddy!

Ermentrude, congratulations, that's wonderful news. I know you are probably in a panic abou the bleeding but stay positive. I am 18 wks and still spotting but all is ok so far. Yours could be an implantaion bleed. Fingers crossed for you.

Staceyk · 26/06/2004 10:47

Morning, and congratulations Ermentrude.
To update you all I'm on CD 33! My last 2 cycles have been 60days! so there really is no telling. As this is ttc#1 for me, I would have no idea what to expect. I have no symptoms at all, so does that mean 100% BFN??? Would I have to experience spotting/tender boobs/sickness etc? Has anyone been pg without any symptoms?
Wishful thinking really, I have promised myself I won't test to July!

Azure · 26/06/2004 11:38

Ermentrude - I really hope this is the good news you deserve. Let us know what the doctor says. Welcome and best of luck Beetlebug. ChaCha . I'm on CD5. StaceyK it's bad enough waiting for a 28/30 day cycle - a 60 day wait must be a nightmare. The two times I have become pregnant I did not have any symptoms prior to finding out the result. I've imagined loads when I haven't been pregnant, though.

MoseGirl · 26/06/2004 13:44

CD2 for me, and feeling v.low tried the 'not thinking about it' approach last month, only read a few MN forums, and still rubbish news.
However Futurity has given me hope (BIG CONGRATS TO YOU F ) as started TTC around the same time - and if I take in to account my DH works away alot theres hope for me yet.

ChaCha I am TTC #1 at 32 so you have a few years on me

Azure · 26/06/2004 13:47

Sorry to hear your news Mosegirl Good luck to all of us next month.

alterego · 26/06/2004 14:19

Well, AF is two days late now, but I am determined not to test until at least Friday. Didn't like testing positive last month (AF 1 day late) and then AF arriving the following day. I have this feeling that I get pregnant very easily but then lose a lot within a week of AF due. Very mixed feelings - had a 10 1/2 week miscarriage in November which would have been due last week. Keep thinking I should have my 2 boys and a new baby NOW - not 9 months or more away or never.

ChaCha · 26/06/2004 21:17

Hi Mosegirl,
Wishing you the best of luck, 32 seems so young, i dont know why i'm fretting at 27. I'd like to call it peer pressure, lol
We will do it soon, wait and see! Those BFP's are just floating around on baby clouds waiting to burst and shower us all.
Hugs to all x

ermentrude · 26/06/2004 22:06

Doc said what i thought he would - a positve is a positive but testing to early can lead to false hope...

Today's test was negative

AF is due tomorrow or Wednesday

Slink · 26/06/2004 22:27

still trying but coz not having sex regularly try doing it around ov time i think it changes every month tried the ov tests and just puts us off, dh has gone of sex for a while (anyone who has read my threads nows it has been for some time, but we want another one, any sex pill i can stick in his tea male pride and all won't go to GP, good luck to all ladies.

I am 33 his is 40 still have time don't we??????????

Joffy · 26/06/2004 22:42

Men don't run out of time the way women do, do they? So age shouldn't be a problem for you yet, Slink?

Azure · 27/06/2004 13:53

Ermentrude there is still hope until AF comes - I don't think tests at the doctor's are any more sophisticated than home tests. Fingers crossed for you. Well, I went to my doctor this morning (9.10 appointment and he was half an hour late, grrrr). He said that there is nothing to indicate that I can't get pregnant again and that it takes on average a year to conceive, so trying since January (after m/c etc) is not that long. He will refer me to an infertility unit anyway, but suspects I will be pregnant before the referral comes through. Was the visit worth it? I'm not sure. I feel I've been a little impatient now - my age and the gap between DS is perhaps furthering unrealistic expectations. Oh well, reflexologist tomorrow.

Beetlebug · 27/06/2004 16:43

Hi everyone, I'm just checking in. On CD24 OF 31 and still feeling a little under the weather not being helped by the fact that my place of work is next door to a nursery . ermentrude next time I'm online I hope to see that you have a BFP. Thinking of you.

bluestar · 27/06/2004 16:45

Not much to report here either. Currently on CD10 and just waiting until it's time to get down to business again which hopefully will be next week. In the meantime I have the footie to keep me occupied!

MoseGirl · 27/06/2004 18:15

Sorry Ermentrude what mixed emotions for you.

Talking of emotions I am in a real pickle. My DH was upset with me last night because my work is so stressful and all I do is complain I'm tired at night IYKWIM (except when it matters of course- he said) and in todays monthly review I burst into tears in front of my area director. Stress has really taken hold of me and I know it can't help TTC but until I get PG I won't be able to relax. Its like the chicken and the egg so to speak!

I can't wait for Reflexology on Thursday! and I can go more often now I've sacked my cleaner as I'll have more pennies....

...sorry, I just needed to tell someone cuz its a taboo subject now amongst friends in hope they don't keep asking me that same question.

Azure · 27/06/2004 18:23

Mosegirl, sorry to hear you're feeling so stressed at the moment. It's awful when you just want to cry (and do), isn't it. Have you had any reflexology sessions yet? My first is tomorrow lunchtime. Any idea whether I should eat beforehand or not?
