Well FF has now decided that I have not ov'd at all according to my temps, however, I think I may have as had twinges and bad headaches. Last month my temps were so obvious, this month, much more flat but this has happened before. Frustrated!

Hi! I'm new to this area although I did post a while back on the Anyone due in June 04 thread. I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks (in November) and have been trying now since January. Not long I know but as my two boys were conceived very quickly I'm getting impatient now.

Anyway, this last cycle AF was a day late so I did a test and it came back +ve - a faint blue line but definitely visible. Then the day after AF started. Presumably I've had a very early miscarriage but as AF has been quite different - not as heavy, more slimy (sorry for graphic detail) I still have a faint hope - well realistically not - I want to do another pregnancy test but want to be sure that if I'm not pregnant then I will have got rid of all the hormones and the test will come back -ve. So how long do you think I should leave before testing again. +ve test was on Thursday.

Also, on CD15 of the cycle just gone, I had a massively low temperature - it was off the bottom of the graph! I read on one of the other threads that this indicated implantation. Is this correct.

Also not sure of some of the abbreviations on this thread but will ask when they come up again!

Thanks for reading this and good luck to everyone.

bluestar · 29/05/2004 16:00

alterego, welcome sorry that you are having conflicting symptoms. When you say CD15, what day past ovulation (DPO) were you (if you know)? An implantation dip would usually occur 7-10 DPO. Some of us have had these though and af has still come regardless. Also you can find abbreviations on trying to conceive 6 thread - I posted loads of them on there.

twiglett, thanks for trying to keep us all positive

ChaCha · 29/05/2004 16:07

DPO11 and feeling down
I know that AF will be here soon, somethings never change.

OP posts:
alterego · 29/05/2004 17:42

Thanks for replying bluestar. I think CD15 was only 1 DPO so perhaps just a blip on the temperature graph - it's not very easy to interpret anyway. But I've been having a look at the Fertility Friend website. It looks quite useful.

Pes · 29/05/2004 18:17

Hi all, and very good luck to everyone
I have been getting some great advice from this board, which I have been reading avidly as we have decided to ttc and we are starting this week but scarey.
I hope you don't mind me joining you.
My ds is 17 months and was the result of a single er ...slip up...
However I am 38 and since having him my cycle has changed completely and is now only 24/25 days , before was more like 29/30.
My dp has ds from previous marriage so we would love a girl and will be trying some of the tips (off to buy white vinegar etc) Don't get me wrong, though, I will consider myself incredibly lucky to have another healthy baby, boy or girl.
Best of luck again to everyone,

Azure · 29/05/2004 18:50

Hello everyone, just popping in. Misdee, fingers crossed for good news. Welcome to the thread Alterego - sorry to hear about probable AF, especially after getting a +ve. I don't know how long the hormones stay in the system at this early stage, but would be tempted to test again in a week. When I had a m/c in October I was still getting a +ve 2 weeks afterwards (m/c was at 12 weeks, though). Hello to Pes also. Are you planning to use temping or an OPK? They are both useful, especially if your cycle is not the "normal" 28 days. ChaCha - I know what it's like to get that sinking feeling - I hope you're wrong and will be reporting a nice BFP in a few days time. Surely one of us has to graduate from this thread eventually!

gold123 · 29/05/2004 18:57

I'm hoping it will be me graduating very soon, but somehow I doubt it. Welcome Pes and Alterego.

I am on cd14 (I think), AF arrived 2 weeks ago (Mon) then didn't amount to anything, then came back the next day, so I don't know whether I am CD13 or 14.

Annoyed with dh last night - did the deed Friday, but the Grand Prix was far more important apparently last night. I'm not doing temping so I am not sure, but if I did ovulate today, then is tonight too late? do you have to bd before ovulation occurs ?

bluestar · 30/05/2004 11:54

Well temp for me has not risen enough to indicate ov and of course I have not bd for the last 3 nights so who knows what will happen this month. Plan to try and get in some action tonight as temp has dipped slightly this morning so maybe ov is on the way, also had some twinges this morning.

Welcome Pes

We really need some good news don't we? Come on any of you lurkers on this board, let us know how you are getting on.

Pes · 30/05/2004 12:12

Thanks for the welcome.
gold123, hope you got some action in last night - there wasn't any motor sport on was there??
bluestar, I didn't know that about old sperm building up - af is just over so will have to get started straight away to get dp 'cleared out'.
I am planning to use an opk - I'll start peeing on sticks in a few days and see how it goes.
alterego - sorry about your mc - hope you have success soon.

futurity · 30/05/2004 12:35

Sounds like we are in sync bluestar as my ov is (hopefully) on its way..CD 16 today..was hoping if would come before Thursday but doesn't look likely.

miranda2 · 30/05/2004 12:45

Hello! Not really qualified to join you yet, as going to start trying after next period - but have been lurking and am responding to the plea for lurkers to reveal themselves! v.exciting thinking about trying again. Ds was conceived first month of trying, so am fully expecting to get very frustrated very quickly this time!!

bluestar · 30/05/2004 12:45

futurity, I'm on CD19/20. Last month ov'd on CD16 so am later this month, although over the past few months, it has been between 16-20 so not unusual. I always find after a holiday abroad that my cycle seems to go out of sync, who knows why? I was just hoping that ov had been and gone but unlikely due to my temps. Good luck this month.

bluestar · 30/05/2004 12:47

Welcome Miranda2 Thanks for unlurking yourself - the more there are of us, hopefully, the more good news we can get to keep us all motivated! How old is your ds? Mine is 3. Good luck!!

ChaCha · 30/05/2004 14:40

Good luck everyone!!
Am Dpo12 today, only a few more days of waiting i hope...

STILL NO AF!! Now on day 227 ... today I still have those drawing pains in my pubic area. Had some sharp twingey aches earlier this morning. My sick and twisted mind says "Ooo! Maybe that was an implantation!" and the cynical, old and crusty me says, nope it's just some more non-period pains.

bluestar · 30/05/2004 16:43

BeckiF, for one horrible moment I read 'drawing pins' and I thought OMG what fertility trick is that!!

ChaCha, hope it's your month!

misdee · 30/05/2004 16:48

AF has started. back to lots of sex again next week then.

Azure · 30/05/2004 16:52

Sorry to hear that Misdee
Bluestar at drawing pins. Welcome to the thread Miranda2 - I hope you have more success than I have!

ChaCha · 30/05/2004 17:08

Thought i'd draw up a statistics table to keep us all on track, let me know if i have entered wrong dates and those of you who i didn't add please let me know your dates:

2WW: ChaCha CD24 (dpo12)
Bluestar CD19/20
Futurity CD16
Gold123 CD15

Misdee CD1

BeckiF CD227

GillW · 30/05/2004 17:28

You can add me to that list. CD41 I think - though it's a bit confusing as had very light spotting once a day days 21-30, and a sort of mini-AF for a couple of hours day 31. Nowhere near as much in total as a normal AF though. And before anyone asks I've done another test and it's still negative

Staceyk · 30/05/2004 18:06

Hi All,
What a relief to find a simple free web site! I stopped taking the pill in Jan 2002, and after 8 months of no periods went to doctors, who tried giving me Clomid, for 3 months, to no avail, then another doc worked out if I took Progestrone tablets, it would make me have a period. I was still unable to do this on my own, I then went to specialist at Hospital who confirmed I have PCOS! Didn't know much about it, still don't really so many contradicting stories! My Hospital doctor told me it is highly unlikely for me to ever have children! Out of the blue I had a period on my own in March (04) I then started Metformin, I started on 1000mg a day, and am now on 1500mg a day! and yes it is awful, I find although this is my 9th week on Metformin, if I eat a fatty meal, then I get very bad tummy. Nothing happened in April, and then last week I had another period. I don't know if it's due to Metformin or just me? However I was hoping that Metformin, would help me lose loads of weight! thats not the case, I've stayed exactly the same, I don't understand, as I'm eating a lot less. I used to eat very big meals, but since taking met I cannot consume as much, and also with the upset tummy, you'd think I have to lose weight! I've now been a bit naughty, I couldn't speak to my Doc (on holiday) so I decided just to take Clomid from the 2-7 day! I am feeling very very depressed with the whole thing. The only person who knows is my Husband, I feel very alone, and very scared I might never be able to have a baby

Azure · 30/05/2004 19:12

Welcome and good luck Stacyk. I don't have any advice with your specific condition, but there are a number of people who have gone through the same sort of thing and can hopefully pass on their knowledge. TTC is such a roller-coaster ride of emotions, isn't it.
Chacha, you can add me at CD 8.
