Hi everyone, reporting from CD4 and feeling a bit blue, I hate the beginning of the cycle when you're waiting for things to kick off again!

So in order to turn things around, looking at the positive things I can do starting now, like remembering to take folic acid!

Thought about trying to temp in the mornings again, but I'm always getting up at different hours for work. Has anyone else had any joy in the same situation?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 11/01/2016 13:40

Haha Starky isn't gonna test until a baby starts popping out of her! I love her resolve!!! Grin Grin Grin

I'm trialling a concept for a new TV show similar to 'I didn't know I was pregnant' it shall be entitled 'I wasn't sure whether or not I was pregnant so I didn't test until I was inactive labour' Grin

To answer though, no I still haven't tested! Grin it's sort of become a personal challenge! If I haven't come on by Wednesday, maybe Thursday, then I'll test! However I'm anticipating waking up to a blood bath tomorrow morning!

bunch how are you? Was thinking about you and how you're getting on just this morning!

Oh Starky you really do have a will of steel!! I would have caved weeks ago. I'm doing really well thanks, no sickness thankfully and have my appetite back again huzzah! I have a 9 week pecan now.
Unfortunately had a bit of an emotional wobble today after a weekend with my SILs kids and in freaking. All completely normal I'm sure Hmm

FXSkip · 11/01/2016 14:09

Thanks modest! Harriet I also freak out all the time that I am not the weight that I want to be, I don't have the house that I want to raise children in, I haven't traveled as extensively as I'd have liked to, etc etc etc. I know my OH worries about it too, but we try to remind ourselves of the benefits and that usually calms us down!

LisaTheGreek · 11/01/2016 14:20

Harriet and FX - definitely! The career one particularly gets me, and I don't have a specific 'plan' for how my career will go or what I want to get to. I know most people probably don't have a plan, but at the moment I can see as far as a having a baby and then needing to go back to work, but I can't imagine anything beyond that. Will I still like my job? Will I want to do something else? How far back will it put me?

Also, as FX mentioned, being the right weight, not having travelled as much as I'd like, and all that.

Particularly agree, Harriet about wanting my parents (and PIL) to know their grandchildren as much as possible. This is what makes me want to do it now and not wait - I think I'll regret it if my children (if I can have them!) don't know their grandparents more than regretting things about my job.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 11/01/2016 17:12

bunch good news about your appetite indeed! Yay for felling better! Oh I'm glad! I can't believe you're all so far along already! Feels like a blink ago that you got your bfp! I'm still on cycle one! From start to now, cycle 1 has been 5 and a half weeks! But I reckon cycle 2 will start tomorrow so at least I'll be back at the beginning again! Grin

Thanks for the responses all. I do feel like it's the right thing to do but it's such a huge decision isn't it?

It's great to have this thread because we haven't told anyone in real life. I have no idea how our families will react either!

harrietm87 · 11/01/2016 17:22

Ps starky WHEN are you testing? I've lost track!

Chocaholic88 · 11/01/2016 17:35

I'm really lucky with my job because I will be able to juggle it all around a newborn etc so no career setbacks. My parents aren't really interested in me but I know my OH parents will be over the moon... it's reassuring if I'm honest but I do get moments where I wonder if I'm doing the right thing and we're only 5 weeks into trying! 🙈🙈

StarkyTheDirewolf · 11/01/2016 17:38

harriet well I'm due af tomorrow. If I don't wake up in a blood bath I may, may save fmu and test in the afternoon. Depending on if I'm crampy tonight/tomorrow morning. If I'm feeling af is imminent I probably won't test. If I've not come on by Wednesday/Thursday, then for you guys, ill test! But I'm not getting my hopes up, I reckon I'll be on my mid-afternoon tomorrow. Grin (I think my adverse reaction to testing is probably because I think testing will be tempting fate, and the second I poas, I will start bleeding! Does that make sense?) Grin

LisaTheGreek · 11/01/2016 18:23

Runner - lovely to see you again! So sorry to hear about the sickness, that sounds horrible Shock. Hope you feel better soon Thanks

Chocaholic88 · 11/01/2016 18:27

OK ladies... TMI alert...

Just had a whole heap of CM, creamy in colour but stretchy like EWCM... also checked my cervix today (asked one of my best friends who knows the situation) and it is ridiculously high. Like I can barely reach it and I know it's not normally like that... even more confused than ever now!!

KatOnATinRo0f · 11/01/2016 18:48

Choc.... Doesn't that mean u r preggo??

Chocaholic88 · 11/01/2016 18:57

I just don't know anymore kat ... as far as I know yes it does! However... first response said no when tested with FMU this morning?! Nurse who did the test today said that it's not unusual for urine tests to be inaccurate over time... hmmmm

Evergreen15 · 11/01/2016 19:05

Jam GrinGrin pissing myself without stick with your DH GrinGrin
The baby making lube, bless!

Choc what?! I thought we would know today!! Nooooooo slightly worried that unless I am on TWW I live my hopes through others BFP Grin--

Harriet for what others with babies have told me, if you wait for the perfect moment, it wont come. The most important thing is that you have a supportive and loving partner and that you have spoken about the future and are both on board. The rest... We will figure it out!

Chocaholic88 · 11/01/2016 19:08

Oh nooooo evergreen noooo it couldn't be that simple. In a world where you can print photos instantly, view your cousins uncles sisters husbands daughters frog on Skype and have your dogs cloned for a mere £67,000 ... it takes 5 days for blood results 😨😨😂😂 gits!

Co5mo · 11/01/2016 19:15

Ahh. It's quite annoying when you write a post and the tab crashes just as you go to post it. Paraphrased...

All sounds positive Choc, will be watching the tread more closely tomorrow Stark ( god son is 9 months and had loads of cuddles for me).

It seems I've not been informing DH enough about the birds and the bees. He's been googling and has started asking questions. I really didn't think he would be interested but he seems to have got the hang over the fertile week all by himself!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 11/01/2016 19:29

lisa i get a bit like that with some things, and I knew with pg tests I was either going to go one way (doing 2 a day from the point of ovulation) or the other (refusing to do ANY until I miss my period). In the spirit of being thrifty, I made a conscious decision to do none! okp's however are a different story! I LOVE them, I can smash through 3 a day easy! In fact, when af arrives tomorrow, I'm going to order a shedload! Okp's are like crack, I can't get enough, not that I would know what crack is like! Grin

Guys, please don't get excited! My Af knows and is taking the piss already by not arriving early! It's going to be such an anti-climax! Grin

choc it's a joke! You'd think they'd know how bloody awful waiting is! It should be like a 2 hour turnaround! If anything, 5 days is just rude!

co5mo awww! Baby snuggles! Too cute!

Can I take a pregnancy test on Sunday if my period isn't due until the Wednesday or am I better off waiting? Just thinking I'd rather test at the weekend but I want a reliable result. I've got a FRER.

AllyBali123 · 11/01/2016 20:20

CD23....today I'm getting

mild cramping
boobs a little tingly
Really hungry
Craving chocolate

all signs that could mean either yay or ney. Why do preg and period symptoms have to be the same???

I have no preg tests but tons of opk tests in the house Confusedwhen should I take a preg test? I usually have a cycle of 28-29 days so if I'm being sensible I should just wait till sunday!

leoniethelioness · 11/01/2016 20:22

It's the progesterone, I think!
