Thanks feefs and drink !!

Woke up again feeling sick as a pig... just did a FRER... Nothing?! Eurgghhhhhh! OH isn't phased as apparently he knows I'm pregnant... hmmmm

Evergreen15 · 11/01/2016 08:16

Choc is the test today? We are all holding our breath here!!Grin

Chocaholic88 · 11/01/2016 08:27

Yes evergreen ... blood test is this morning!! Finally!! Although the FRER didn't pick up anything just now... so confusing as I'm feeling massively nauseous again, my stomach is churning and I'm a fetching shade of green!! Attractive 😉

Evergreen15 · 11/01/2016 08:33

Littlebelle ahhhh that looks positive to me!! SmileThankscongrats!

Zazzles when are you supposed to do the kegels? I want to keep those swimmers in there for as long as possible

FXSkip · 11/01/2016 09:28

Well, my AF came today and I am so pleased!! I know that's a bit odd but the wondering was driving me mad. Its reassuring that my body is behaving more normally. Going to try the OPK once its finished (my initial excitement passed very quickly-now cant wait for AF to finish!) Ovia telling me its 11 days now to FW Sad Fingers crossed for choc with the bloods today, and hugs to all of you feeling rubbish, upduffed or otherwise!

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 11/01/2016 09:34

Yay choc today is the day!

evergreen not sure - think my book says allow enough time after dtd to do them just in case but tbh I rarely do them!

Temp went up this morning so looks like yesterday was ovulation. We were too tired to dtd again last night (dtd in morning) so just hope we planned it right. I think I started dtd a bit early than was necessary though.

Ni4444 · 11/01/2016 10:08

Morning ladies! CD4 here..waiting for FW now...all the waiting!

To be honest I think I've been more frustrated by ttc dtd than my OH. In order to fit in every other day dtd we've been doing more quickies which he's more than happy with...but which doesn't exactly do it for me the way our longer sessions do! Someone mentioned their OH feeling used for baby making...Other way round here...which is crazy cos I want a baby as much as he does, but yeah the purpose of dtd does change when ttc. Need to remember to do it outside FW for the purpose of just us too!

Good luck choc 🍀

Chocaholic88 · 11/01/2016 10:12

Blood test is done ladies! Woohoo!!

Won't get the results until Friday... not coooooool! I'm noworking referring to gap until I get the results as the 5DW - 5 day wait 😂😂

LisaTheGreek · 11/01/2016 10:15

Well done Choc, glad the test went ok.

Fingers crossed for Friday!

Bugmuncher · 11/01/2016 10:25

Morning ladies. I have a question about my OPK and wondering if any of you have had something similar. I'm using the CB dual hormone digi test - had a high on Thhursday, peak on Friday and Saturday and low on Sunday. Today I tested again out of interest and I have another high with a flashing smiley face. Have any of you had this?

Fx on the test today choc!

Snowdog37 · 11/01/2016 10:43

My temp is up again and I'm 4dpo according to FF. So I probably ovulated cd10 despite negative opks. Confused dtd the day before and the day after so fingers crossed...

Good luck with the blood test results choc
💐

Hi, can I join?

I'm not great at keeping up with threads but I love reading through them and I could do with some support.

I'm 27, been ttc for 12m+ (lost count how many cycles now). Last year was a big stressful year, changed jobs, moved house, got married. Along with the monthly disappointment of not conceiving.

My cycle is all over the place and I haven't used any opk's although if many more months go past I will be looking into it.

As I said I'd like to get to know others who are in the same boat and have some support. Also fingers crossed for the lucky thread!

FXSkip · 11/01/2016 10:57

Hi Modest welcome to the thread! Are you tracking CM and BBT? I gather that these are more effective than OPK, but tracking helps with the wondering and the waiting.

Modestandatinybitsexy · 11/01/2016 11:28

Thanks for the welcome FX Smile

I track my cycle but not temping or CM as my CM seems to be all over the place.

I've just been reading up on OPK's and I'm still not sure.. If there's any info on temping I'd be so grateful if you could point me in the right direction. This is the year I really want to concentrate on ttc.

AF is due today and I've had cramps since last night so I'm not holding out much hope for this cycle.

harrietm87 · 11/01/2016 11:34

Has anyone else had wobbles about ttc??

I woke up this morning suddenly really scared about it! Lots of things that hadn't bothered me suddenly did - OH and I aren't married (though we've been together 6 yrs), we live in a 1 bed, the impact it will have on my career and body and social life...really silly selfish things!

I think it's cos I saw some friends at the weekend who were talking about ttc in 2-4 yrs (when we'll be 31-33) and the things they want to achieve by then. I also know that OH would be happy to wait (though he's also happy to start now).

Pros though are that I want to be a young(ish!) mum, my own mum is getting older and I want her to know my babies, I feel physically ready now and worry about leaving it too long (I have thyroid problems that may make things more difficult later).

I know there's never a right time and it's probably just last minute cold feet as fw approaches, but I need reassurance!

FXSkip · 11/01/2016 12:02

Modest I would track both, although it may seem random/all over the place it might be of use at some point and might give you more insight into, or connection with your body. Apart from the old saying a watched pot never boils, stressing out about TTC evidently makes it harder - I'd say concentrate on your health and regulating/tracking your cycles and with some luck the BFP will be yours! Easy to say, I know, but when I relaxed and stopped obsessing over it, my AF came. Maybe coincidence, maybe not but at least I feel less stressed out.

Harriet Anyone not scared to death of getting pg is crazy in my book Smile It makes sense to start now, rather than put it off and get all your ducks lined up. There is no reason that you can't achieve the things you want to achieve with a little one, you might just have to work harder, and having a baby will give you a different focus, a different body and a different social life, along with all the other amazing things that come with

Thats my 2 cents - apologies for long post!!

Modestandatinybitsexy · 11/01/2016 12:10

Thanks for that FX, really good advice all round.

Harriet I would also say that I think everyone gets nervous when they first set their minds to ttc. I was so sure I wanted a baby and it took a while to get DH on board, as soon as he got enthusiastic about ttc I freaked! It is a massive change but if you want a baby I don't think you'll regret it. If there are things you want to do write a bucket list of things to do while ttc or so you don't forget them and can come back to it afterwards.

Feefeefs · 11/01/2016 12:31

Back to work today as I took last week off! Feeling miserable so down to be back! Wish it was FW as dying for something to distract me! Being back to healthy eating and gym doesn't help to avoid the cranky!

IndiX · 11/01/2016 12:46

Hi ladies, how are we all today?
Welcome Modest, hopefully this will be a lucky year and thread for you. I agree just try to focus on your own health , fitness and goals to take your mind off TTC (easier said than done, I know).
Harriet I had a wobble yesterday, I was EXTREMELY hormonal due to last day of AF plus the weather has been shit and I kind of woke up being a grumpy bitch. I worry about stupid, selfish things too. My main one which sounds completely self absorbed is how my body will change. I've always had a strange relationship with my body image anyway and have dipped in and out of eating disorders over the years so I worry that getting bigger will make me lose the plot. Just trying hard to eat healthy after a very indulgent fat weekend and focus on my fitness and the gym. Also I love travelling and look forward to our holidays so much that I worry I will miss that too, even though I'm sure we will be able to get breaks just the 2 of us at some stage. I know there is so much to look forward to with having a baby though and I do have to remind myself sometimes.

I know this will make me sound a bit hippy-ish but I do try to believe that everything happens for a reason so if I don't get pregnant for a while then there was a reason for it, whether I realise it or not. I'm going to try my hardest not to stress this month or think about it too much. I just want lots of sex and then we will see what happens next month when I'm due AF.

LillianFullStop · 11/01/2016 12:54

I'm with you Ni - I'm on CD3 with 14days til FW. 14!!!

BunchOfBobs · 11/01/2016 13:05

Hi all,
I've been away at Center Parcs over the weekend so have missed A LOT! I see one more bfp congrats Belle. Starky have you tested yet woman?!

Ni4444 · 11/01/2016 13:09

Haha Starky isn't gonna test until a baby starts popping out of her! I love her resolve!!! 👍

Lillian I hear you...12 days until fertile window! long cycles suck!

Ni4444 · 11/01/2016 13:10

How was center parcs bunch? I've never been to one, but reckon I'd like it
..some nature, some walking, lots of relaxing... Grin

Laurenrl · 11/01/2016 13:11

With you Harriet, although my wobbles tend to be more irrational like 'what will people at work say/think, they might think it's a bad idea' 'how surprised will our parents be and what if they aren't happy as we aren't married' 'what will my neighbours think, I hope they won't complain if the baby cries' hahaha all of which will not matter at all anymore if I ever got a BFP

BunchOfBobs · 11/01/2016 13:21

It was great Ni. We go everyt year, me, DH, PIL, SIL and her DH and DC. We've booked for next year with my DPs coming too as we'll have LO with us. The pool is the biggest draw for us so I had a much more sedate time this year as no slides or Rapids for me.
