I broke DH. We were having really enjoyable sex but he was getting really tired and in the end we had to stop and then he lost his erection pretty soon after. I know these things happen but it's not happened before and I worry that I've stressed him out by talking about my fertile week. We found out that DSis is pregnant today (I AM GOING TO BE AN AUNTIE!!!) and I think he's putting a lot of pressure on himself. He's gone to sleep now (before half nine) and I've said it's OK, which of course it is, but I feel like I've done something wrong and a bit pants in general. Arghhhhh. My cat is asleep on my lap so that's cheering me up.

IndiX · 04/01/2016 21:46

Leonie cuddle your cat and try not to worry about your DH. They usually aren't that sensitive about being pressurised not to generalise and he's probably just a bit embarassed about it and doing the usual man thing and going to sleep rather than just talking or being normal. I know it's different but sometimes when my husband doesn't make me orgasm tmi sorry I know he gets a bit arsey and feels embarassed. Men are weird creatures. Go again tomorrow, it'll be fine.

So ladies your saying you've NEVER seen a line of any sort after the time frame? That makes me feel a bit more positive, I don't think I've ever seen a line either but started googling and I'm reading that it's not a real line, the air might have got to it, it's invalid outside of the 5 mins etc oh god, I'll do a test in the morning and then I give up! No more tests until AF! I don't know who I think I'm kidding

IndiX · 04/01/2016 21:47

Btw CONGRATULATIONS to your dsis and to you being an auntie Leonie!!

Pinklily1 · 04/01/2016 21:48

Leonie, don't panic.

When we were DTD lots in my fertile window my OH struggled once or twice to 'finish' as it were. He also said it was because we were having a lot more sex than usual and his man bits were tired Smile I had been talking a lot about catching the fertile window and I think that knowledge stressed him out a bit tbh, so I toned down how much I mentioned it and secretly obsessed over OPKs instead Maybe just don't mention fertile-ness to him for a day or so!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/01/2016 21:52

Oh leonie massive congratulations to your dsis! How lovely! Don't stress about your Dh, these things happen, and he's probably knackered, you've done nothing wrong! Besides that's what he's there for (the talking I mean, not just the sperm!) All shall be well my lovely girl!

And if it makes you feel any better, Dh has proved to me tonight that he has nooo idea how my reproductive organs work! At 37, a grown man with a 13 year old son, just thought that one egg just basically sat there all month happily waiting to be fertilised. So when I've been talking about ovulating and my fertile week and how my okp's were looking, he's clearly not been paying ANY attention! Yep, he thought that between the two periods, almost immediately an egg just appeared, and then "knocked about in the fallopian tubes for a few weeks until you bleed again" Grin so basically a 4 week continuous ovulation! Good lord!

zazzles where I live the supermarket only stocks Clearblue but have ordered some from Amazon which should arrive Wednesday so hoping to test Thursday with fmu 😁

leoniethelioness · 04/01/2016 21:54

Thank you, girls! All being well, I'll be Auntie Leo in August. Very excited!

Pink - thank you so much for your reply. We are having a lot more sex than normal so it makes sense that he'd feel tired. I have just realised we've had sex every day since last Monday apart from new year's day so no wonder he is worn out! Maybe need to try EOD or twice a week (more like our usual frequency) for a bit to take the pressure off.

indi - when are you testing again?

leoniethelioness · 04/01/2016 21:56

Starky - I hope you've educated him now? That's so funny!

emanne · 04/01/2016 21:57

thanks starky :)
i gave in and poas Hmm of course it was a bfn!!! slightly disappointed but i knew it wouldn't be positive after only 10dpo.... i cant flippin wait any longer Envy x

leoniethelioness · 04/01/2016 21:58

em - you're not out until you're out so don't panic! Maybe try again in a few days? 10 DPO is early to test.

IndiX · 04/01/2016 21:59

Hahahaha Starky that made me laugh, I'm intrigued to see what my DH thinks that happens during the menstrual cycle.

I'm going to test in the morning Leonie, I don't want to tbh I feel like I've aged 10 years today and have a headache from overthinking I think Confused

LillianFullStop · 04/01/2016 22:01

Hi everyone - joining this thread Smile - TTC #1 as my first sadly ended in mc 5 months ago - took a break from it all and now ready to TTC again. Hello cycle #1!

LittleBelle90, emanne and starky we all have similar dates! I'm due on 10-Jan and possible conception 26-Dec! When are you planning to POAS? I am thinking Fri 9-Jan?

visualises olympic synchronised swimming version of POAS

Congratulations bubba!!

Turnertime14 · 04/01/2016 22:01

Trying to catch up with everyone - its been a busy day!

Congrats bubba!! What great news!

Starky - that outfit is so cute! I love it!

Leonie - he'll feel better tomorrow, these things always pass. You've felt a little stressed (!) - he'll also feel it. It is great news about your sis though, you'll be able to compare notes soon!

It seems like there's going to be a lot more positive news this month!
I on the other hand am wondering if I totally misread the ovulation signals as I saw the ewcm today (which is when ovia initially predicted) but I was sure it happened last week. Can only wait and see!! Ovia is telling me to test next week but my AF isn't due til the 18th or so.. Think I still have a lot to learn about my cycle!!

emanne · 04/01/2016 22:04

Lillian my possible concep was around 26th/27th and my AF due around 10/11th jan... very funny (in an odd way) how so many of us have the same near abouts cycles hehe Brew Grin

Leonie - i think i will leave it a few days! every test ive ever done ive done too early then moaned when bfn!! all my own fault though lol Hmm end of the week poas me thinks!! Wink (or maybe a bit later)

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/01/2016 22:08

I have educated him now leonie given that the precursor to that conversation was him asking slightly worried if I thought that I wasn't pregnant yet because I'd become immune to his sperm... despite the fact that I already explained this very morning that we wouldn't know if I was pregnant this cycle because my period wasn't due till next week.

You know when you just can't even, well, I can't even! I also had to explain that although each sperm and each egg contains the same basic generic material, each one was slightly different, because if each sperm from every man was exactly the same, we would be a species of clones.

I feel like you should all casually drop it into conversation and see what all your dps thinks happens! Just so I don't feel so alone with my muppet of a Dh!

My DH just said he thought I released 3 or 4 eggs a month 'bit like a hen'................

BubbaNo1 · 04/01/2016 22:14

Thanks everyone!

em I had a negative FR test last Wednesday... Must have been too early, so keep testing Smile

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/01/2016 22:18

a bit like a hen Grin Grin 😂 brilliant!!

00Bubbles00 · 04/01/2016 22:19

Thanks Ni and Pink - it's funny that being early 30s suddenly feels old!

Congrats Bubba - brill news!

I have never felt less pregnant in my life. Not that I've felt pregnant before but I definitely don't have symptoms other than vaguely sore boobs. Argh.

Stark I have vowed after today's disaster of the BFN in work loos not to test to Saturday. This whole will power thing is difficult!

LittleBelle90 · 04/01/2016 22:23

lilianfullstop I'm going to try a frer on Thursday maybe, but it depends if my symptoms have changed. If it's a bfn think I would just wait to see if AF then arrives on Sunday.

Haha indi can't stop laughing at the hen comment. I would like to think my DH knows quite a bit about my cycle, he's wanted kids for the last few years but I was at college so the timing wasn't good for me.

spaceyboo · 04/01/2016 22:24

I'm 35 cycle 6. Am waiting to test. Symptoms so far - wind, headaches, nausea and food cravings which are all my PMS symptoms too so I'm not very hopeful. Waiting to test on the 7/8th. Fingers crossed

leoniethelioness · 04/01/2016 22:25

Cluck cluck

Runner05 · 04/01/2016 22:27

little clear blue are not very sensitive and as they're blue dye they're more likely to develop fake lines. Ideally you want to test with a red dye one, the most reliable being first response.

Indi yes it is very possible for a cracked test to develop a fake line. This is due to the test strip drying out quicker than it is meant to depending how the test coating has been applied that being said, as there is a line on the test (all be it a squinter) while it was still in the housing I don't believe your cracking it would have made it invalid.
Hopefully when you test tomorrow the line will be slightly darker, although don't panic if it isn't really dark, it takes a few days for it to go from barely visible to yup no doubting that.

Ni4444 · 04/01/2016 22:28

Wish we dropped eggs like hens! Would make this process way quicker!!

Hi Lillian! I'm due AF on the 10th too so we have a serious poas party coming our way that day!!! Smile

Stark thank you for the link!! I'll give it a go tomorrow -wish me luck!!

Leonie good effort dtd every day, but maybe take a step back to every other day. It's supposed to be just as effective. If you're doing opks and know when you're ovulating you could dtd every day for the three days around then. Google "sperm meets egg plan"

My OH is now thinking of paying for private semen analysis (next week rather than waiting 2 months for the next available NHS apt!!) rather than chance giving up his beloved cycling for 4plus months. I figure hes better off checking it out than giving up something he loves needlessly!

Chocaholic88 · 04/01/2016 22:29

Oddest feeling behind my belly button tonight! Like the feeling you get when you go over a bridge in car. Not painful or anything, just odd!!
