We're on the 4th thread! Oh come all ye symptom spotters! And a fertile new year!

Ladies when do you start using opks in your cycle? Am on day 5 now, shagging like bunnies already but we're way too early! Starting to feel the urge to piss on something, should I start tomorrow? Or is that still too soon?

I would canters but then, I've gone from saying "ill do one from the start of my efw (estimated fertile week) every day" to doing two/sometimes three in a day for the past two weeks, except for from Christmas eve till yesterday! I've had two surges of lh both resulting in a positive okpand now wish I'd taken some with me to my dps so I could test there too! They are very addictive!

I'd start using opk's from the moment AF finishes. I decided to do one 5 days after AF finished as a test run even though my efw wasn't for another 4 days... Lucky I did as if I'd waited I would have missed my early ovulation. As it was I only caught it because I had an unusually long hormone spike.

Well after being somewhat of a tease, af has set herself up in residence for the rest of the week. Officially on the January bus now! Hope to see a few more December grads though, good luck!!!

Awww that's disappointing snow but on the positive side, new year, new start! Lots of chocolate, have some wine and take it easy.

I could either be 9 dpo or anything in between, so I've got no idea right now, at least I'll have more of an idea and be better prepared for next month okp wise I suppose!

I'm pretty sure I'm 8dpo today. No real symptoms other than tender boobs, but that's prob just cos I've been squeezing them!!

I had some red spotting on Monday night but nothing since, and don't have any cm to speak of which is a bad sign isn't it?

I'm due to test Sunday starky - are you? I won't be disappointed if I'm not upduffed this cycle as it would have been pretty miraculous anyway. I'm quite looking forward to all the dtd in January!

Hi can I join please, i haven't had time to read everyone's posts sorry. I'm due my AF Monday, no idea if/when I ovulated this month but have had loads of 'signs'. Trying hard not test too early!

I'm going to try soy isoflavones this cycle. My eggs, much like myself, are getting on a bit, so I've read that taking the soy iso can help strengthen the quality of them. I'm all for that. Slight risk of multiples but honestly getting a twofer wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Would mean I wouldn't have to go through all this again!!!!

That's a shame Snow, as Starky said lots of choccy, wine and fx for January. I'm about 9dpo too cd24..due to test on Sunday. Havnt really had any symptoms that I can think of, my parents are here now until New Year's Day so that should keep my mind off testing for a few days! Havnt been able to buy a test either and won't be able to while my mum is here should stop me becoming obsessed with pissy sticks!

I kept my original ovulation on ovia, so according to that, if I ovulated then, I should test Sunday harriet if I ovulated later, then it's just a case of either testing around the 11th Jan or waiting for af, who is due on the 12th. But given my current love for okp's, I'm probably going to swap them for a new obsession with ic's from Saturday onwards! Good job I bulk buy! I'm the new runner as far as weeing on things goes! But would be very surprised if I managed to catch this month given the intermittent dtd because Dh was away so much!

Welcome cheese have you used okp's/ovia this month? I can fully recommend them! We love a good okp on this thread! 😀

I had tiny little pink spotting (TMI) on Two days ago for two days which was 10 / 11 DPO
Tested today like Ovia told me to and BFN
I'm hoping that was an implantation "bleed" even though it was literally two spots and a tiny cramping which has completely gone and no sniff of AF today.
Will test again in two days. I used FRER as well....
I was always regular before the pill but can't recall cycle length it could be longer than the 28 days I put into Ovia.
Either way I'll be on the Janauary wagon with all the other pissy stick fans

I've been told to look in here so here I am :) bear with me, I'm getting used to all the abbreviations, sometimes I look in some threads and I haven't a clue what they are talking about 😂😂

So, I ovulated on the 18th, AF due Saturday the 2nd.

It's our first month ttc baby no 1 :-)

My main symptom has been a light two day brown bleed on Sunday and Monday, which is very off for me. It's like a week before AF is due, I don't get it. I thought AF might be coming early but it never materialised and the brown stuff stopped coming.

Apart from that I've been windy, feeling sick all the time, very sore boobs. However I don't think it's morning sickness, I guess it's cos I've got the flu at the moment and my body is generally a mess.

I tested this morning but I think the test was faulty, the control line wasn't a full line and the other window had pink streaks going across it.

Anyone any thoughts?

confused - sounds like you may have also had an implantation bleed across the same two days as me. I happens to roughly 30% of women when they get pregnant. If it happens around the later stages post ovulation I.e up to day 12 then you might not test positive for another 3-4 days because it takes that long for HCG to build up.

I'm taking mine as a positive and keeping fingers crossed for my next HPT x

Your bleed is a very good sign confused implantation bleeds are said to happen about a week before AF due.

Thanks starky no idea about okp or ovia, I am a total virgin when it comes to those things.

About me, I am 32, two DC 3 and 5 yrs. Was not actively ttc just got a bit caught out the other day so am interested to see what will happen next. I've been get tingling nipples, a bit of orange-ish CM, dry eyes, stuffy nose, stomach cramps, and exceptional 'dryness' lol sorry about tmi.

All very exciting though can't wait to test soon!

Ovulation predictor kit and ovia is a cycle mapping app but not the bike kind the bleeding sounds promising. You're a few days ahead of me, I'm 7dpo also on my first proper cycle. Had implant put and was fucked up for a while. That's not to say I'm not fucked up now

Sounds like you are having some positive symptoms!

An opk/ okp is an ovulation test. Basically a stick you wee on which indicates whether you are ovulating or not. Ovia is an app for your phone which helps you track AF, when you are ovulating etc. I found it really helpful.

Well I got a +OPK (ovulation test on 17th Dec) and not 100% sure how long my cycle is as its my first month off the pill but from my days of being 15 I think it was about 30 days so due to test Sat 2nd in that case
Were you on the pill? It took me ages of stalking these forums before I learnt all the jargon.

Welcome Cheese and Confused! Like Pink said, ovulation sticks and apps are what we're addicted to.
Amazon do cheap OPK and pregnancy tests for pennies so stock up. Also, some of us temp (basal temp) but I always forget in the morning so it doesn't really work for me atm.
