I didn't have implantation bleeding Confused but I think a fair few people do. My symptoms were tiredness, nausea, bloating and lots of farting Grin

Confusedcat1 · 29/12/2015 16:57

Omg, farting is a symptom?! 😂😜😳😳😳💨💨💨💨💨

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/12/2015 17:09

lana mate, if you jinx me with twins (even if it's 100 cycles from now) I'm fully expecting you to move in with me and Dh and hold a baby forevermore! We will have to start a commune like hippies from the 70s! Grin

Welcome cat we are all ttc our first here so we love a good obsess! You'll pick up the abreviations quick enough, in our last thread, we learned that basal temping is not done via the floo, it goes in the mouth! And that weeing on EVERYTHING from your dog to your wardrobe or your husband is absolutely fine if it produces a bfp! Grin we are also a gassy clan of bum fluffers who love a fart joke and toilet humour! Download ovia, it's ace!

We have many bfp'ers who have stayed with us, pink bunch runner shelb to name a few! We've been so lucky, they're guiding us in symptom spotting and runner is our resident pissy queen 👑

Most importantly, there's no such thing as a daft question or too much poas-ing! If we don't know, the hive mind will access Google and relay information as quick as you can wait for an okp to dry!

Hiya harriet ni dreamy and miley

I've seen a few people mention their cm being dry, is this a good sign when TTC? I'm Cd15, 8 dpo and usually quite a bit of cm after ovulation but had hardly anything except the last 2 days very small amounts of white and sticky cm, sorry tmi also been have pinches down in my pelvic area even though AF isn't due till 10th January 😕

cheeseandbanana · 29/12/2015 17:13

Wow twins... Is there anyway to predict that other than family probability?

If my AF is due on Monday 4th Jan can anyone tell me when I would be a good time to do an early first response?

lanadel I had no idea you could buy tests so cheap on Amazon what joy, I think I've got the bug for pissy sticks.

Mileymoocow · 29/12/2015 17:30

They're great things aren't they? I heard them then forget about them and have to dash to the loo if we have visitors incase they see them. Turns you a but bonkers this TTC thing. Confused I hope farting is a symptom because I've been the worst I've ever been and i don't think it'll be sprouts this far down the line

Mileymoocow · 29/12/2015 17:31

Ok, laughing at but bonkers Grin that isn't going to produce a baby.

Runner05 · 29/12/2015 17:58

Farting is a symptom and once you get your BFP it's a way of life.

Feefeefs · 29/12/2015 18:01

I am also very farty! Even more than usual quite emotional and spotty too tho which makes me think it's just PMS.

Stuffy nose and sore throat is that a symptom?

AF due sometime between 1-4 Jan still not completely reliable. Think I ovulated sometime around the 17th based on cm. Using OVIA too which i love.

Norris88 · 29/12/2015 18:03

Hey ladies can I please join?
Been ttc for only 2 months but cycles are a bit messed up due to the pill. Last cycle was 34days but used to be 28 so who knows! Currently day 10 any tips you can give to help get things started would be appreciated!

Congrats to all the bfps. .hoping January will be a new start!

Snowdog37 · 29/12/2015 18:03

I had the farts, the cold, the sore throat, the yellow cm.... It all ended up with af rather than a baby though. So I've come to the conclusion I'm just gross and ill. Bleugh.

cheeseandbanana · 29/12/2015 18:05

LOL miley at hiding them from visitors, but you got me fantasing about how great it would be if I had some and a friend dropped by needing one and got a BFP... What a great friend am I. Think I'm getting a little too into this!

littlebelle dry CM is happening to me too, and not at all a usual thing for me. From doing my own research I think it can be a predictor for some women. Watch this space for you and me...

purplesmiler · 29/12/2015 18:06

starky thank you so much for your Puppy advice I will get some of those treats. He is 14 weeks old and a full border collie we have called him Oscar. He is currently chewing everything in sight lol.

Ni I will try to get a pic uploaded later tonight (still working atm). He is very cute but also very naughty haha!

Having a puppy does seem to be impacting on our bedroom activities a little but im sure once we are brave enough to leave him in his crate downstairs it will be back to normal (we are being too soft and letting him sleep in the bedroom). We are just having to be a bit more creative lol.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/12/2015 18:22

belle I think creamy cm is a good thing at this point in your cycle!
miley ooh they're amazing the amazon cheapies! I reckon the frers are probably best as close to your af due date as possible, the ic's sometimes aren't as sensetive.
feefs and runner I'm a habitual farter, I endorse loud ones, Dh woke up and the first words out of his mouth were "fuck me babe, I got in bed last night and you stank! You were blowing off some whoppers!" Who says romance is dead?!
Welcome norris best advice, try and bang like a door in a storm! Grin
Awww snow poorly and af! The germs bastards got you as well as the witch! Look after yourself!
No probs purple mine are chihuahuas and they're notoriously hard to train! But they're quite good now, toilet training took a while but we can also do sit, down, up onto their hind legs paw, and one has just about grasped roll over now! I take no credit, my dsis is the Cesarean Milan in our house! With regards to sleeping downstairs, he'll cry the first couple of times, but definetly keep it up, otherwise he'll be in your bed forevermore trust me on that one! mine slept in bed with me until I met Dh and he's a liability being such a big lad, I had visions of waking up to flat chihuahuas! No hope for co-sleeping with babies here!
Ooh ill have a look at that later ni

I'm doing a giant clear out of the second/third bedroom. Using the pretense that I need to get shut of stuff, in reality, I'm going to clear it, move everything around and start putting my collection of baby stuff in there! Which means I can buy more stuff!

LanadelLol · 29/12/2015 18:48

Neither did I cheese, until I joined this posse and was feeling left out as I wasn't peeing on anything haha.
Starky I would Love Love Love to have twins... 1 pregnancy, 1 lot of (double the price) nursery bills, birthdays at the same time, school,
Driving lessons, uni, adulthood, up and out the door at the same time, that would suit me to a tee... But I think too much into this haha.
I have also sorted out my 2 front bedrooms and the back bedroom is now just waiting for baby stuff... How exciting!!
Does anyone believe in the superstitious stuff like, not having the Pram in the house etc? I personally don't and just wanted to know what you all think. X

LanadelLol · 29/12/2015 18:49

Welcome Norris!

Runner05 · 29/12/2015 19:12

Lan I've never even heard of the pram superstition.

I don't do superstitions though, most of them are silly and were just invented to stop people doing annoying stuff like opening umbrellas indoors.

Mileymoocow · 29/12/2015 19:18

I agree with Runner though I'm still not going to risk walking over 3 drains if I can help it. My luck is shit enough. Out of interest though, what's the pram one?

Starky and Lana twins run in my family so I'm hope hope hoping for the same! One pregnancy would be ideal Wink

Dubbya · 29/12/2015 19:25

Hi everyone, just checking in. Have been keeping up with reading posts but can't remember everything! Hi to new thread buddies and fx for bfps for those with testing now or soon!

I'm CD6 today so starting the regular dtd for cycle #2 yay! Going to try for EOD though OH was up for every day ha! I worry that we'd tire ourselves out before I ovulate!

Going to try and temp this month as my thermometer arrived today - would be good to know if I ovulate after being on the pill for so long!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/12/2015 20:20

I think I'd rather know where I was up to with one baby initially! I was watching a science/genetics programme the other day which suggested that as many as 1 in 5 pregnancies start out as identical twins, but the 2nd twin is often reabsorbed into the womb lining before a woman ever even knows she's pregnant or has been for a scan! It was fascinating!

It was saying left handed people they think are the product of mirror twins when the right handed twin has reabsorbed, so if there are a lot of left handed people in your family, your liklihood of carrying twins increases slightly, but that identical twins are as much of a possibility as fraternal twins with any woman because it's just down to the circumstances in your womb on to the given day when the egg cells split!

Pinklily1 · 29/12/2015 20:24

I've never heard of the oral superstition either, I'm intrigued now!

We surely must get some twins from this thread!

LanadelLol · 29/12/2015 20:38

Runner Miley A lot of people
Where I am from will keep their pram in someone else's house until or just before the birth, apparently it's bad luck to keep it at home. I don't believe in it. I already have a pram, furniture and bedding picked out but I won't buy anything until I have a BFP. Also have a wish list of maternity clothes on ASOS too😂.
I don't walk over 3 drains either tho, I must look like a loon when I prance over the 3rd but I think it's more of a childhood habit now 🙈
That twin stuff is so interesting. I take it that is a hoax when they say it's a generational thing? My gran was a twin but none of my immediate a have had twins and there are loads of us!
Dubb you can never tire of DTD when it comes to baby making, a quick 5 mins can do the job haha X

LanadelLol · 29/12/2015 20:41

Found a link of a MN asking the same question.
