Rainy I've had spotting like this in June as well. It stopped by itself after a month and according to FF I ovulated right after the spotting.

Kellz all the best for temping! I recommend using fertility friend to record your temps, it does all the working out for you. I love temping, I've learned so much about my body and my cycles from temping and charting.

I'm chugging water in preparation for my scan. Already feel like I need to wee. This is going to be unpleasant, really hope they're not running late. Will update after my scan. Thanks for all the support my lovelies. Don't know what I'd do without you all!

Magpie I also get light spotting around ovulation time, it's as certain hormones change right before ovulation of as your body prepares to ovulate. It's not a sign you actually do ovulate but it shows your hormones are acting. I get a positive opk on the final day of spotting. Hope your scan is ok. It's not as bad when it happened to me as I feared! Good luck.

I had an external and internal scan (I've never been so pleased to go to the loo!)
Apparently my lining is quite thick (she said that was okay and that I just needed to have a 'proper period' whatever that means!) and I have a 2cm cyst on my right ovary but the ultrasound tech said that was all part of a normal cycle. She couldn't find a cause for the spotting, she thinks it could be hormonal. Now I just have to wait for the results to go back to my doctor.
I'm not sure if the cyst means I'm going to ovulate, she said it was a functional cyst but wasn't too clear about what that meant.

Glad the scan was ok magpie. No idea what they meant about 'proper period' - bizarre! Will you see the doc in the new year for a proper run through of the scan results?

I'm having a very strange time and would appreciate any thoughts! I'm CD14 today and have usually got a positive OPK today on previous cycles. Last cycle was the first temping and I didn't get positive OPK til CD19 and temping confirmed that as my ovulation day. So this month I've been using fertility monitor too and have been getting low readings every day including this morning so I assumed I'd be having another late ovulation month. However My temperature shot up this morning (36.8 compared to 36.2 yesterday!). But I'm full of cold and feel awful today so put it down to that. I feel so bad I've come home from work and just for fun (no idea why!) I peed on a cheap OPK. Positive!! Definitely positive. So what on earth does that mean? Why is the clearblue fertility monitor putting me at low fertility? I DTD last night but I'm not the most attractive proposition for DH tonight - full of snot! What does anyone think about this? I also haven't had any symptoms of ovulation - my CM is still quite creamy and I have none of my usual back pain. Argh! No idea what's going on!!

Pleased your scan went well magpie. Could she have meant that your system needs a good flush with a 'proper af'? I maybe clutching at straws here but I don't know what else she could have meant. You will get to discuss the results with a Dr and they will hopefully explain it all in detail.

Soda that looks positive to me but try again tomorrow as mine look like that and the next day the test line is a lot more darker than than the control line. In any case get dtd and fx you catch that egg. I found CB very temperamental so ditched it in favour of IC's. I used their older monitor years ago and never got any clear results and same with their digis.

Well I've not poas but I did have another go on my microscope this afternoon....there's definite ferning going on now!

Soda I would keep testing and see what happens. Your temp might be a red herring because of your cold. Or you're about to ov. Sounds like you need to rest though so take it easy & see if you're up to it tomorrow.

soda you are there or nearly there I guess. No idea about your cb monitor tho, maybe it's just not understanding your cycles yet? Do you have a temp chart you can post?

magpie Sounds pretty promising for you. Not sure what a proper period is, or if there is a chemical way your doc could induce one? I also have s couple of cysts and fibroids too they don't seem to be a problem according to my consultant - hope yours are the same. What's next for you?

dizzn I'm alright, thanks for asking. A few DPO now and itching to test! This wasn't our best effort this cycle so I'm trying not to be excited about our chances. After 19 months you'd think I'd be over the symptom spotting routine.

In other news, I got my corner desk back at work. No more being in the middle of an open plan office under the watch of my boss. More time to MN!!

I hate open plan offices boris - great news on getting a corner desk! Keeping my fingers crossed for you. I'd imagine how ever long you've been TTC it's hard not to symptom spot.

Thanks for comments on my stupid fertility monitor / OPK results. I'm really annoyed with the clearblue thing - it cost a fortune and I'm getting better results with the cheapies. The whole point of it for me was so I'd get a longer warning before I got a positive OPK. Last month I got 11 high days and we tired ourselves out before the peak! And now this month it's given me a low on my peak OPK day!

No idea how to link my chart. I've taken a picture! And will post it. I've been pretty good at taking temp at the same time every day this month. As I said it shot up today but I wouldn't be surprised if I've got a bit of a temperature as not feeling very well.

Here you go. Don't think it's going to tell me much at the moment, will just see how it goes over next couple of days. Will do my best to snottily seduce DH tonight....

Sorry soda I don't know how old you and your DH are but DTD eod should be enough for you so don't beat yourself up if you don't do everyday. Your chart is interesting and your temps could be out because you are sick. Otherwise with the possitive opk it makes no sense. If your cb monitor doesn't work for you Id try sending it back as possibly faulty? They aren't cheap! Then you could get a different one or something?

Thanks boris. We're both 33. We DTD last night for fun believe it or not!! I didn't think I was anywhere near my fertile time because of the 'lows' on the monitor and because I was so late ovulating last month. But glad I did now. It's only my second month temping and using the flaming monitor but for the previous few months using cheap OPKs I always got positives on day 14 and day 15 so perhaps I'm following that pattern again now, hopefully I'll get a peak on my monitor tomorrow (if I don't I'm sending it back!) and I do think my temp is off today.

Soda, i had lows up to day 13 then day 14 and 15 went straight to peak, i had no idea i was going to get a peak! im temping this month, well hopefully my thermometer arrived today! Hope youre feeling better soon!! xx

I'm sorry boris. Are you getting any signs AF might be arriving? I'vd heard the IC pregnancy tests aren't as sensitive as they claim so you never know - fingers crossed for you. I know what you mean about the new language!

I got a low on my fertility monitor again this morning! And I got a negative cheap OPK (always have 2 days of those but I suppose it's possible I had my first day on Wednesday as I didn't test then). My temperature has plummeted back down to where it was before (as I said I think yesterday was just hugely high because of my cold). I've got my back ache so it feels very much like ovulation for me. And I had acupuncture this morning and she said I was definitely ovulating today (not sure I believe in acupuncture but it makes me feel like im doing something!).

I don't really know what to make of it all. I'll see how my temp is the next few days. I'd expect it to rise tomorrow- fingers crossed. On the other hand I'm starting to think all these many devices are sending me round the bend and I should chuck them out and just go with the flow more easier said than done when you're a massive control freak

soda that sucks! i did about 5 diff opks daily last cycle. this month im using my monitor and temping, see if my monitor is reliable or not. xx

AF is here for me. Cycle 19billion and 1 starts tomorrow. Repeat day 1-3 bloods on Monday. Sigh.
