Hope it's not too presumptuous but the last thread was nearly full so thought I'd get a new one ready!

Ugh! TTC is SUCH A BORE!!!!!!

DizzyNorthernBird · 06/02/2016 10:02

Bacon sandwiches and chocolate are on the menu today while I wallow in misery and frustration.......

MagpieCursedTea · 06/02/2016 10:29

DizzyN it really is a massive bore and so frustrating! Enjoy your bacon sarnies and chocolate. It's so important to indulge those feelings of misery and chocolate cravings every so often for your own sanity. You will get there though and we're with you all the way Thanks

Nomio sorry for your 2am bfn!

Flowers dizzy n sorry for the temp spike. Xxxx

Nomio how are you getting on?

Nomio23 · 06/02/2016 22:38

I am ok, thanks. Expecting AF any day, but since I don't think I OVd this month, I am resigned to it. I am just really fed up with TTC & can't wait for our IVF stuff to come through. I have a dildocam appointment on the 15th. I have had it done before, but the consultant is worried because it has been a while. Basically he doesn't want to give the fertility people any reason to reject me, so has requested a repeat ultrasound & HSG.

We are up north this weekend with my niece & nephews, so I am getting lots & lots of little people cuddles! SmileGrinSmile

DizzyN, enjoy your slob out. It is the only good side to AF showing up!

Hope the rest of you are all good. X

FuzzyOwl · 06/02/2016 23:09

Glad you have both the NHS here and Prague Lucie and be great if you have a Christmas baby or bump.

Nosy question Magpie but how many needles do you have in your stomach? Previously I have always just had the one but this new acupuncturist used seven of them!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend apart from the emotional rollercoaster that is ttc x

loopylou1984 · 07/02/2016 04:58

Hi all, I'm off on holiday this morning so may not be around very much this week.

Good luck to everyone :). Xx

MagpieCursedTea · 07/02/2016 09:22

Sammy have an amazing holiday, hope you get lots of fun and relaxation time.

Fuzzy I think it's just 2, I also have them in my feet, legs, wrists and head. She said she's focusing on stopping the bleeding rather than ovulation at the moment so it might be different? I've been trying to read a bit about Chinese medicine to understand it all better but it's a whole new world to me. Did you enjoy your appointment?

Nomio your consultant sounds thorough which is really good. Hope you're having lovely weekend up north.

DizzyN how are you feeling lovely? I hope the bacon and chocolate helped lift your mood.

My bleeding managed to somehow be even heavier yesterday after my acupuncture on Friday. Blood tests on Tuesday though so getting closer!

I'm POAS already at 7dpo, being rubbish this month and can't wait Blush

heydiddlediddle123 · 07/02/2016 11:39

How everyone having a nice weekend xx

heydiddlediddle123 · 07/02/2016 11:39

*hope

heydiddlediddle123 · 07/02/2016 11:49

fuzzy & magpie I've been having 12 needles in total at my appointments. Ever so slightly different places, but same areas...4 in my lower abdomen, 4 in my lower legs & ankles and then another 4 separated equally between my feet.

FuzzyOwl · 07/02/2016 12:09

My acupuncture consists of needles in my legs (ankles, calves, knees), wrists, head and then seven in my stomach. I will ask her next week what they all do but I am sure some of it was to encourage a positive qi.

MagpieCursedTea · 07/02/2016 12:20

I think there's also something spleen related, I've read about qi as well.
I've got a bit of a girl crush on my acupuncturist, she's just so cool!

FuzzyOwl · 07/02/2016 12:22

My new one seems a bit scary! Hopefully she will turn out to be good though, as that is the important bit.

Nomio23 · 08/02/2016 13:20

AF arrived last night. Ugh. I am currently eating lots of chocolate & feeling sorry for myself!

Hope you are all good.

MagpieCursedTea · 08/02/2016 14:19

Ugh nomio sorry to hear that! Enjoy the chocolate ChocolateChocolateChocolate
I'm still bleeding, got my blood test tomorrow, not sure I've actually got any left for them to take at this point!

Good luck, Magpie, I really hope yuou finally get some answers.

I think we need to go on a recruitment drive. Our little bus is very quiet at the minute. Sad

DizzyNorthernBird · 08/02/2016 17:37

It is quiet isn't it Sad but we're due a new bus in a few pages which always attracts newcomers.

Hope you're enjoying your chocs nomio, I managed to resist the other day but binged on bacon & egg butties instead for three days on the trot until I ran out of bacon. Sorry for af Flowers

Glad you're all enjoying your needle stick assaults Wink Grin. I hope it works for you all. I can't help be a bit sceptical, so I don't think it's anything I would consider.

sammy if you see this enjoy the snow!

magpie sorry to hear you're still bleeding. When will you get your blood results back? It's time to start demanding answers!

Bfn for me again this morning (yes.........I caved...) on 13 dpo so I guess that's me out for the month! Af will arrive tomorrow night, just in time for DP going away for 3 days, so I may have to treat myself to some proper me time to cheer myself up. Wine

Nomio23 · 08/02/2016 17:50

You never know, Dizzy, you might get a late BFP. You are not out yet.

I am pretty sceptical regarding the needles, too. I know they work for a lot of people, but suspect it is a placebo effect. Maybe it is just because I am scared of needles!

Come on, lurkers, introduce yourselves! I will give you a piece of my chocolate. Chocolate

MagpieCursedTea · 08/02/2016 17:51

Sorry for the bfn DizzyN Sad I sometimes think it's better to know before AF hits, I find it less traumatic that way!
My DH is skeptical about the acupuncture too but it's an hour of relaxation to me as well so even if it doesn't fix me it's worth it for that.
I'm not sure when I'll get my test results. I'm going to ask for a print out though even though they're usually a bit funny about it. I figure it might be useful if we need to get private treatment (and so I can post them on here for people to analyse Wink)
The bus has been very quiet, I wonder if 800+ posts puts new people off? I put a bit of a rubbish title on the thread as well compared to previous threads. Do you think we should have some sort of intro in the first post as well?

OP posts:
Nomio23 · 08/02/2016 18:20

It might be a good idea. We always used to do that. I think that because those of us left on here are the ones who are struggling, some people think it is just for those with problems.

I completely agree with you about the BFN. I find it easier to cope with AF if I already know I am not PG.

DizzyNorthernBird · 08/02/2016 19:10

I think I'm a bit annoyed at myself for testing .......like I was kidding myself that there would be a chance it would be anything but negative? I don't usually bother but now I have a stash of ic's burning a hole on my cupboard shelf Grin.

It's always sad at the end of the tww I find as you suddenly have nothing to look forward to.....that glimmer of hope disappears and you know it won't return for another few weeks. I find the time between af and ov painfully dull.

BorisIsBack · 08/02/2016 19:48

Sorry for AF nomio and bfn dizzyn.

I couldn't do acupuncture but people do surprisingly credit it with great sucess.

Magpie - def worth getting a print out if you can. I always ask them to slowly read me everything to do with my tests, it's my data after all.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Lurkers - do come and say hello. We know you are out there :) join us! Tell us who you are!!

MagpieCursedTea · 08/02/2016 19:50

There's always wine to look forward to Grin
Don't be mad at yourself for testing, it's good to have that little glimmer of hope. It's so painful to see a bfn but I reckon it would be even worse to lose that hope.
Waiting to ovulate is painfully dull though, I'm not sure what the answer to that is, trying not to think about isn't a realistic possibility!
