Hope it's not too presumptuous but the last thread was nearly full so thought I'd get a new one ready!

Mine went up this morning too. I don't know if it means anything, or if I just slept better! I hope I didn't OV now, as we have only DTD once in the last 3 days.

It is so crazily windy here today that I think the house might fall down! Shock

MagpieCursedTea · 01/02/2016 18:00

Rainy thanks, it's not been great! Your holiday sounds amazing, I love the planning part of holidays almost as much as I like going.

DizzyN could it have been part of your slow rise? Has FF changed your dates? Hope your chart starts to make a bit more sense over the next few days!

Nomio it only takes once! As long there were sperm hanging around to catch that egg you're in with a chance. Hope those temp stay up for you. Can you try and DTD again this evening? I know the egg only lives around 12 hours post ovulation but FF seems to improve your pregnancy monitor score if you DTD on the day and day after ov. Worth a shot!

It's been (and still is) crazy windy here too. I walked to my Aunt's house after work which normally takes 10 mins and it took me twice as long as the wind was blowing at me and slowing me down. It's now blowing like mad down my chimney, it's so noisy!
I'm still bleeding heavily. DH thinks I should phone the doctor as its been heavy for a few days but not sure what they can actually do other than the blood tests and gynaecology appointment I'm already booked in for.

Magpie, have you been offered tranexamic acid? It doesn't solve the underlying problem, but does give you relief from the bleeding.

You can buy it from a pharmacy, but I have some I would be happy to send you if you like. I haven't needed it for a long time now.

Nomio the drug pusher! Grin

MagpieCursedTea · 01/02/2016 18:39

Haha thanks! I was offered it by one GP a few years ago when we were trying for DS and I had a super heavy bleed after my second round of clomid. Then another GP told me I shouldn't use it when TTC. Not sure which was one right!

OP posts:
Nomio23 · 01/02/2016 18:49

I can understand your hesitation after being told that. I was given it by a consultant though & she knew we were TTC. Her reasoning was that if I was bleeding constantly, I clearly wasn't ovulating & therefore wouldn't get pregnant, so there was no risk.

MagpieCursedTea · 01/02/2016 19:55

That makes sense! It might sound daft but I'm worried about taking anything that would make the doctors think my symptoms are less serious. Thanks so much for the offer though, it's very kind. I think if the bleeding doesn't ease up in a couple of days, I'll call my GP and ask about tramsexamic acid.

Hello everyone!
Going to have a read through of the chat now.
I'm CD15 11 days to test so fx! Going to try and stay as sane as possible this 2ww.
Been drinking fertilitea last few weeks http://www.fertilitea.com
I got via Amazon, it had good reviews! I must say I have noticed a distinct improvement with cm so far. Has anyone else tried it?
I ovulated yesterday managed to BD lots in the run up so happy with that. Going to BD again tonight to be sure we got all bases covered.
Had my first acupuncture appointment last week...2nd appointment is on Thursday and In very much looking forward to it. Smile

MagpieCursedTea · 01/02/2016 21:22

How does the tea taste? I just had a look at the ingredients and noticed it has red raspberry leaf in it, I tried drinking that near my due date with DS and the thought of it still makes me feel a bit queasy. Really didn't like the taste!
Hope you manage to have a relaxed 2ww!

You know what is actually REALLY nice Magpie tastes like a mint tea. I've been enjoying it hot & cold 👍

MagpieCursedTea · 01/02/2016 21:51

I might have to invest in some!

loopylou1984 · 02/02/2016 07:21

DizzyN - glad your temp was up, fx this mornings was too? Xx

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/02/2016 20:52

Slightly lower today sammy implantation dip higher than 36.40 so still high enough to keep me feeling positive! Or not......

Got baby bombed today by my boss announcing his Mrs is pg with their first. I had suspected this was on the cards but even still........sigh

Just feeling like it's just not ever going to happen at the moment. I've even just signed up to another half marathon which is in October....that's how sure I am!

loopylou1984 · 02/02/2016 21:56

Well dizzy- you can't put your life on hold, and if you got to October and weren't pg then you would be gutted if you hadn't signed up. Far better to have to pull out when you are pregnant!

I've finally got my nurse consultation tomorrow afternoon. Feels like forever since we've been to the clinic. Hopefully will get a solid plan in place for the end of the month :). Xx

MagpieCursedTea · 02/02/2016 22:02

DizzyN sorry for the baby bomb, it never a gets easier! I agree with what sammy says, you can't put your life on hold. I did that for so long the first time round and missed out on loads of amazing stuff. I've refused to do it this time and it's helped to have things to look forward to.

Sammy all the best for the nurse consultation tomorrow!

woodpigeon123 · 03/02/2016 05:57

dizzy - yay to temp still being up...! What CD are you? I'm 27 (of a 28 day cycle)

sammy I totally agree about not putting things on hold.... I did the same at the start of this TTC journey... If I'd only known quite how long it would actually take! Best of luck with nurse consultation!

Tested today on an IC.... BFN, obviously! Possibly onto cycle 16 for us... We shall see on Friday if AF arrives!

woodpigeon123 · 03/02/2016 05:59

magpie how are you? Still bleeding? Sending hugs xxxxx

MagpieCursedTea · 03/02/2016 09:49

Woodpigeon sorry for the bfn, hang on in there! I'm still bleeding, it started being heavy bleeding about a week ago rather than just the light bleeds/spotting I've been having since November. I should probably call the doctor again but I've got my blood tests on 9th and I'm worried about doing/taking anything that might skew the results. I keep thinking it'll ease off soon, how can there be anything left?

OP posts:
heydiddlediddle123 · 03/02/2016 13:40

Hope you have a good visit with the nurse today sammysmile]

Yes hang on in there wood! I've got everything crossed for you

Hope things are good with you dizzy? I'm not a fan of the 'baby bomb' either, always seem to come when I'm feeling a bit sensitive. I had a 'it'll happen when you stop trying' the other day, could've boxed her nose 😂

Sorry to hear that magpie sending you hugs. 9th round the corner now - keep us updated xx

Trying to make some positive plans myself, booked a cheap as chips weekend away for April so something to look forward to! 2nd acupuncture sesh tomorrow though and still sipping me fertilitea! PMA haha 👍

Nomio23 · 03/02/2016 14:06

DizzyN, I am feeling a bit down today, too. I think it is only natural after TTC for so long. Be kind to yourself & do something just for you. I find even little things like a nice bubbly bath, or a bar of chocolate can make a difference sometimes. Flowers

Magpie, sorry to hear you are still bleeding. I can see why you are reluctant to do anything that might skew the tests. You want to make sure that the results they get are genuine. Fingers crossed you will get some answers & it will be worth it.

Good luck for your appointment, Sammy. Let us know how you get on.

DH has a brother & 2 cousins. His cousin's GF gave birth the other day, which now means that out of all four couples, we are the only ones without a child. The fact that we have been together longer than any of the others just make it worse. I really dread family occasions these days.

DizzyNorthernBird · 03/02/2016 17:58

Thanks everyone. No, I'm not putting my life on hold any more. I love running and I missed my favourite half marathon last year as I thought I'd be pg. This year I'm signed up. It's in April, and since signing up I've been counting the months to work out how far gone I would be on race day if I got pg beforehand (assuming I'd be capable of running it pg of course!), already it's getting close and no such luck! So I'm glad I'm not missing out again.

wood I replied to your FB post!

sammy how did consultation go?

hey if it were me I would have told her exactly why it won't happen when I stop trying! That would shut her up!! Grin Yay for holidays and hope your acupuncture went ok today.

nomio weirdly I've been in a good mood all day today! so can't be preggo hormone swings maybe? Lol. Hope you're ok though. It sucks being the odd one out, I feel your pain. I feel like the only woman on earth who isn't a mother sometimes and it's a lonely place to be. Especially when sodding Facebook feed is clogged up with 'motherhood challenge' posts. Just.....fuck.......off!!!

woodpigeon123 · 03/02/2016 18:32

dizzy thank you!

Tell me about the motherhood challenge thing....!! Feel exactly the same! xxxx

loopylou1984 · 03/02/2016 18:42

Dizzy - those motherhood challenge things are so crap. I hate them.
There was a thread on AIBU about it where heartless women were saying that the infertiles just shouldn't be so sensitive (amongst other such supportive comments) and a friend from another thread commented that we should start a non motherhood challenge with pictures of us sleeping/drinking/on holiday/shopping sprees etc. next time I logged on to fbook I saw just that! Best thing I'd seen all day!

My appointment was fine, am going to be starting a partially medicated cycle at the end of the month once af arrives. Estrogen pills and patches, and fx some anti nausea pills to prevent the horrific side effect I had last time. Xx

heydiddlediddle123 · 03/02/2016 18:49

Talking about the Facebook mothethood challenge...I saw this, made me chuckle 😂

loopylou1984 · 03/02/2016 18:53

Yes hey, this is what I saw! Xx

heydiddlediddle123 · 03/02/2016 18:54

sammy 😊 xx
