Hope it's not too presumptuous but the last thread was nearly full so thought I'd get a new one ready!

Oh fuzzy I'm sorry AF has arrived Flowers It's rubbish and hard to keep going but we must keep on. It will happen.

Good luck for your 20 week scan beaut. It will be nice to hear an update.

I'm so pleased you finally have an appointment magpie and fx you get some answers. Hopefully it is a proper cycle and things will settle down for you.

FuzzyOwl · 28/01/2016 16:31

Thank you everyone. Bizarrely I am just as annoyed by the fact I had a longer than normal cycle and because I was late, it means that I feel like I have wasted those days and I should be closer to ovulation and trying again by now.

Nomio23 · 28/01/2016 16:33

Sorry to hear that, Fuzzy. Wine

Dizzy, I am sorry you are still not happily upduffed, but it is good to have you back. I recently had my own pity party, so know where you are coming from. It is so hard to keep going month after month.

loopylou1984 · 28/01/2016 17:21

Fuzzy, I'll join you on cd1. Sigh. Cycle 6 billion and 24 here I come.
Still at least I have my skiing holiday to look forward to (right over my fertile period Wink) and can have lots of Wine while away. I too had a long cycle, 31 days instead of 29, but thankfully not so out that our IVF dates need amending much. Xx

Kirjava · 28/01/2016 18:01

Hope it's ok to pop and say hello. I've got my Pom poms for you all to get your bfps. Especially the old bumsnetters. You will all get there.

Big love.

BorisIsBack · 28/01/2016 18:14

Thanks kir - lovely to see you, I was just thinking of you today.
Hope you are ok.

Kirjava · 28/01/2016 18:18

I'm fine thanks boris. Sorry that your AF arrived but only a month and you'll be IVFing - got all my fingers and toes crossed for you x

loopylou1984 · 28/01/2016 18:20

Waves to kir!

Boris... We could be cycling together now! Xx

BorisIsBack · 28/01/2016 18:21

Yeah for the CD 1-3 club. whose in our gang? Sammy, fuzzy, dizzy?

BorisIsBack · 28/01/2016 18:22

Watch this space kir I'll be getting my BFP sometime soon.

DizzyNorthernBird · 28/01/2016 18:28

Hello, will catch up properly later, just off out for a run.

Feeling a bit lost. Saw my GP today and as I thought, she's doing nothing about my pco. She will refer me to a specialist as planned once the sperm sample has been done, but in the meantime the advice was to just keep trying Hmm. She said metformin isn't suitable because my blood sugars (test results from two years ago mind) are normal and my hormone levels are all normal, and I'm not overweight. So, no diabetes=no drugs for dizzy! I have mixed feelings about this as I've always been of the mindset of treating a problem at its root rather than taking drugs, but as a short term fix to get upduffed I would have gone with it. She couldn't offer any other wisdom as I'm a normal weight, already eating healthyish and exercise regularly. Ugh.

Pants.

Nomio23 · 28/01/2016 18:45

I would ask for repeat tests if I were you, DizzyN. A lot can change in two years. If not, is going private an option?

Kir, great to hear from you. I love it when grads pop back in to say hi. Smile

Boris, I am sadly not in your club, I feel all left out now. Although, I will hopefully soon be in the IVF club with you & Sammy! I am hoping my referral comes through quickly.

I should be 1DPO today, but am not sure if I OVd or not. I got a positive OPK a couple of days ago, but haven't had any temp rise yet. I don't normally bother with temping, as I have quite disturbed sleep, but thought I would give it another go this month. Now I am just really confused!

BorisIsBack · 29/01/2016 08:07

Nomio don't be left out, us oldies are still hand holding. In it together till the end right?

Nomio23 · 29/01/2016 17:18

Definitely, Boris! How are you doing at the minute? Are you nervous about IVF? I am terrified, but at the same time just want to get started.

Rainy34 · 29/01/2016 21:21

stats update**

Rainy34 cycle 22, TTC 1 BFP due 22 Feb

Beautician So sorry to hear about your MIL, its such a terrible illness, hope the chemo subsides the cancer for a while, My dad has decided to have the operation as his consultant thinks its the best way possible, how are things going with you? xx

Magpie Just read your referral has been accepted, that is great news, really pleased that they have decided to get there act together

Amy sorry to hear about the cysts, it must have been a shock but don't give up!!!

Thanks Diddle, sounds like your doing everything you can possibly do to get your body in tip top condition!!

Boris sounds like you are having a rough time at the moment , sorry to hear about your dreadful smear test, they are not the nicest of things to go through at the best of times!!

Fuzzy sorry Af got you!!, be kind to yourself xx

Sammy sorry Af got you, glad its not thrown your ivf dates out to much and sounds like you will be having a great time on holiday!!

Kir Nice to see you on here , hope you are doing well!!

I had my fertility appointment today and the good news is DH SA are normal range now, i have been given Clomid to take for three months but not going to start them till April as we go on holiday and she does not advise to take before incase i get pregnant and the risk of miscarriage on a long haul flight, if this does not work then i will have to wait till July 2017 until we get referred for IVF!!, God i hope the Clomid does the trick!!

ThirtyNineWeeks · 29/01/2016 21:38

Hello, ladies. Sammy and Lucie, I know you were kindly asking after us, so here is my miracle baby boy, Ezra Michael. I make sure to keep up with your journeys, and I know you, Sammy, have a FET coming up. To you and Lucie - and all my other friends on here who are discovering PCOS, cysts, the need for IVF...- please don't give up. Please know that your lack of hope and fading dreams means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things: your baby remains where it is - waiting for the exact right moment to come to you. It doesn't require your belief or hope.

All my love to you all

Purdey Thanks

loopylou1984 · 29/01/2016 21:53

Oh purdey, he's gorgeous! Thank you for sharing a picture with us :) is Nancy enjoying being a big sister?

Yes, 2nd FET coming up at the end of February/beginning of March. You're right, I have lost hope a bit, I can't seem to make myself think positively at the moment. I know that won't change the outcome though, so I'm allowing myself the sad time. I'll get over it once we start doing something! Xx

loopylou1984 · 29/01/2016 21:54

Will read back and catch up with everyone soon. Xx

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/01/2016 08:09

Hello!

Sorry I never did get a chance to catch up properly, it's been a busy week.

nomio I could ask for repeat tests however the way I see it is that nothing would have changed since then.......my cycles have always been irregular since 2008 and if I had insulin resistance/diabetes now it would have flagged up on the last test? If we do get referred for infertility I'll ask for repeat tests then though, for now GP is refusing to budge until SA is done anyway. I may consider going private but at the moment we're sadly having to fork out for solicitors fees as DP's ex has started to cause problems with child contact Sad so our priority is getting that sorted out.

sammy make sure you enjoy the apres ski activities as I'm sure it won't be long until there's no more Wine for you!

rainy great news about your dh's results & getting your clomid. Where are you off to on your hols?

purdey loving your words of encouragement as always and congrats again! Hope you're settling back into life with a newborn well.

boris not long for you, nomio and sammy now, you will all have your bfps this year I'm sure of it!

Sorry to everyone who got af again Sad

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/01/2016 08:18

As for me, I'm on cd27 and only just got a dotted crosshair on FF today for cd23.... We dtd on cd19, 21 and 23 which is great if I did actually ov on cd23 but I'm not sure.....temps are rising very slowly (I often do see a slow rise though) but yesterday I had af-like cramps for about 30 minutes. Could this have been ovulation pain? I don't usually get ov cramps so I'm not sure....but it was too early to be anything pregnancy related or maybe I just needed a big poo!!!

My chart is attached if any ff'ers fancy having a look! Smile

lucieloos · 30/01/2016 08:48

Hi purdie, massive congrats on the birth of the gorgeous little Ezra! I can't believe how quickly time has gone. I hope you are all doing well. Thank you for thinking of us. I have 4 blasts frozen now and due to start a freebie NHS round the end of Feb so would be lovely if that worked and we had the others to use for a sibling,

Hi to everyone else, I do keep popping in every now and again to see how you are all doing.

Rainy34 · 30/01/2016 09:06

DizzySorry to hear your not getting treatment for the PCO, I agree with Nomio and ask to have another set of tests to be done as two years is along time, we are going to Vegas, I'm really excited, we have not been on a proper holiday for such a long time!!
