Rainy so sorry to hear about your dad. Fab news that it's curable. Hopefully he gets through the treatment without too many side affects. MIL has cancer unfortunately it's stage 4 so not curable. She started chemo just before Christmas and we saw her for the first time since then at the weekend. She's lost all her hair. We knew it would happen but when it's someone so close it's still a shock.

DizzyN sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Glad to see something is getting done and hopefully you will get further help. It definitely doesn't mean you won't get pregnant though. My friend had the same & it took her a while but she now has two children. My best friend has severe endometriosis & was told she would never have children. She now has 4 children.

Boris good luck with IVF. You will get there.

Nomio nice to see you. Hope everything is ok. Nice to see you still getting your coc action Grin

DizzyN hope you see that temp rise soon and manage to fit lots of DTD in!

Sammy fx that temp stays ups but even if it doesn't, it's one step closer to the next IVF, not long now!

Amy glad you're feeling a little bit better, onwards and upwards!

Nomio yay for the positive OPK! Your DH's choice of words are... Interesting! I'd say to tell him to work on his seduction technique but mine sometimes consists of talking about my CM and how it might be good timing, so I'm not sure if I'm any better!

I think DTD becomes less romantic the longer you try for, it's very difficult. I hope you'll find some comfort and a lot of support here though!

Magpie I'm not going to say try to say positive as sometimes I know it's just impossible. We were so close to giving up. You just have to keep trying. I still feel strange about it all and it doesn't seem real. I guess after trying for such a time we will all feel the same about a BFP. It just seems to good to be true .

Welcome, 10. I am so sorry to hear about your CP. It is heartbreaking, especially when you have been trying for so long. DH and I also have unexplained infertility, so I understand your frustration. You have definitely come to the right place for support and encouragement. X

Nomio I'm 17 weeks on Friday. We weren't going to find out the sex but ds1 is adamant he doesn't want a girl. He is autistic so I feel we may need to prepare him. 20 week scan is 24th Feb.

I didn't realise your DS was autistic. I have worked with ASD students in the past, plus my nephew has Aspergers, so know how challenging it can be. Hopefully with time to prepare, he will be able to accept the baby, whatever sex it is. Is he very badly affected?

He is high functioning. It's becoming more obvious the older he gets. His speech is fine. It's more his social skills or rather lack of them. He takes everything literally & it's hard trying to find language that he can understand. He starts high school in September. I'm hoping over the summer holidays he will bond with baby and feel relaxed enough to start high school. I'm already planning activities we can do that suit everyone over the summer.

He sounds quite similar to my nephew. He is nearly 6, and very intelligent. His speech is great, but he really struggles with interacting with other children & non-literal speech. It sounds like you are doing all the right things with DS, so I am sure he will bond nicely with the baby. Good luck. X

Agh ladies it's definitely AF that's arrived with a vengeance after just a 15 day cycle. We are now re - planning to go to the Czech Republic in early March for ivf. I'm gutted about the delay but think it's all for the best somehow.

Beaut - my dniece (although not autistic) was adamant she wanted a baby brother, and if it was a girl she wouldn't want anything to do with the baby. However since the baby girl arrived she has been totally besotted with her. Fx it happens the same with your da. Xx

AF was due today but apart from a tiny spot hasn't arrived. Got a very definite BFN though, so expect she will arrive with a vengeance overnight.

Nomio in January last year my cycle was only 17 days. I seem to just ovulate exceptionally early in January.... Goodness only knows why.

Post-Christmas blues?! Maybe you had an anovulatory cycle. It is such a shame that it has pushed back your IVF plans.

We have DTD loads this month so when DH asked earlier if I wanted the whole routine in bed tonight, (foreplay, oral, etc.) I found myself replying "nope, just stick it in & squirt!" Ah, the romance of trying to create a new life!

I had a very heavy bleed overnight, haven't had anything like that for ages. It's all been spotting or light bleeds. I've got lots of cramping this morning too. I'm hoping it's a good sign and my uterus is just getting rid of what's left and will start a proper cycle
I got a letter with my gynaecology appointment today. So I've got my blood test 9th Feb and gynaecology 24th Feb. Really hoping I'll have some answers by the end of next month!

Thank you Magpie. No AF but another BFN this morning. It is not looking promising although I have never been late before unless pregnant. Glad your wait for the gynae isn't too long and I really hope you do start a proper cycle now.
