Hope it's not too presumptuous but the last thread was nearly full so thought I'd get a new one ready!

I'm not sure what the plan is yet night, seeing my GP next Thursday so hopefully I'll have a better idea then.

blueberry that's crushing news for you, you've done so well with losing the weight so far but they think it's not good enough and that must be gutting. Keep going though, focus on the long term health benefits too as well as getting your baby.

DizzyNorthernBird · 22/01/2016 09:31

jes welcome, you're in good company here as most of us are enduring difficult and drawn out journeys! Sorry to hear about your chemical. Are you having any investigations done?

amy I don't know about provera, hopefully eskimo or one of the others can help you with that. It's not long until the 25th now though, hang on in there!

nightandthelight · 22/01/2016 10:45

Fx for next Thursday Dizzy! Hope your GP is on it and sorts out treatment pronto :)

Very sorry to hear of your chemical JES Flowers

AmyC86 · 22/01/2016 11:12

Welcome Jes, glad you have made it over.

Tell us your stats & someone will add them to the database.

I.E - (these are my stats) TTC#1 for 5 years .cycle unknown. Age 29. Current medication = vitamins. Waiting on ultrasound.

JES12 · 22/01/2016 16:25

Thank you for your comments! It feels good to be amongst people going through the same (but equally feel everyone's pain)

My stats
TTC#1 for 2 nearly 2 years
Age 31
Medication = vitamins
Awaiting bloods

Hope I got that right

MagpieCursedTea · 22/01/2016 16:37

Blueberry sorry for AF, I'd give OPKs a try to see if they can help you learn a bit more about your cycle. I'd be lost without FF, I put all my data in and it does the work.
I'm also really sorry to hear about your referral, you've done amazingly well with your weight loss. I hope your GP can help with the random bleeding.

Amy I'm not sure about the provera but I'm sure time slows down when you're waiting for appointments! Hope it comes round quickly for you.

Jes Welcome! So sorry to hear about your chemical. It's a really supportive bunch on here, these ladies have been amazing support to me and I don't know how I'd have got through the last few months without them. I hope your stay here is short and that you find it just as helpful!

Hope everyone else is doing well, sounds like there are lots of upcoming appointments and things happening. Exciting times!

As for me, still bleeding and still waiting to hear about the appeal, apparently my GP contacted them again today and is waiting to hear back. I've got my acupuncture appointment tonight. I'm really excited!

Welcome Jess Smile

BorisIsBack · 22/01/2016 20:02

Welcome jess 2 years is a long time.

magpie I'm really annoyed for you that you are going through this. It seems so unfair. could you afford a private referal?

Rainy34 · 22/01/2016 20:57

Jess welcome , you have come to the right place these ladies on here are such a lovely caring and fully supportive, so sorry you had a chemical, hopefully you will get your bfp soon!!

Magpie I can't believe that they are still stalling on the referral, god your doctor is pushing it though, I don't know what to suggest about the bleeding, hope you get to the bottom of it,

The last few weeks have been the worst for me, I found out just after Christmas my dad has cancer which is curable, but had to wait to find out if it had spread, we found out yesterday that it has not spread which is such a relief, It was a total shock to find this new out like any other person finding out but hopefully once the treatment is over he will be cured, I have not really been able to put my mind to ttc, even though i told my dh i would not put it on hold i just could not get motivated to try, Just hoping this year gets better and the nightmare can be put to an end,

I have the fertility clinic next friday, i am going to ask for clomid again as when i found out about my dad it was in the tww , and beg for some progesterone too,

sorry i have rambled on way to long!!

JES12 · 22/01/2016 21:18

Overwhelmed by all of your welcomes! Thank you X X

Nomio23 · 22/01/2016 21:39

Rainy, I am so sorry to hear that. It is completely understandable that your mind has not really been on TTC. Brilliant that the cancer hasn't spread though, you must be so relieved.

Welcome, Jes, this is an amzingly supportive place & we will be with you all the way to your BFP. I have been trying for years, so know how disheartening it can get, but please try to bear in mind that most people do get there eventually. One of our grads had been trying for nearly three years & was about to try IUI when she got her BFP. She now has a beautiful baby boy. Smile

Amy, I am the only one out of all our friends & family who doesn't have children or isn't pregnant, so know exactly how you feel. It is so hard, especially when people keep asking you when it will be your turn.

I have updated all the stats requested & added new people. I will try to keep on top of them, but may need nagging at times!

I had my appointment with the consultant on Weds & we are finally being referred for IVF! I am so relieved. I burst into tears when he said we were going to get treatment! I was terrified about my FSH results, because in our CCG they have to be

BorisIsBack · 22/01/2016 22:19

rainy I'm so sorry to read your news. Make sure you look after yourself as well as your dad.

nomio so pleased you have a way forward and a plan. Great you got referred.

MagpieCursedTea · 22/01/2016 22:52

Nomio that's fantastic news, thrilled for you! Hope your letter comes through soon.

Rainy really sorry to hear about your Dad but great that it's treatable. Medical science is a wonderful thing. All the best to you and your family. I hope your appointment at the fertility clinic goes well.

Boris thanks, my Mam was talking to me about going private if I can't get referred and said she'll help with the cost but I'm worried about how expensive it would be.

I had my acupuncture appointment and it was lovely. The acupuncturist was realistic about treatment saying it would take time to sort out my cycles, but I felt amazingly relaxed after the session so it's worth it just for that. I'm going again in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for your support once again ladies xx it really is awful when no one knows what your going through. The best way I can describe it is being at a train station, with all the people you know waiting for the train. Everyone only waits a bit before jumping aboard, and I just get left behind all the time.

[Rainy] sorry to hear about your Dad, your having some rotten luck lately xx chin up for you xx

[Blue] I can't believe that the hospital are stalling you even for blood tests xx keep up with the good work with the loosing weight and show them!

DizzyNorthernBird · 23/01/2016 07:33

rainy sorry to hear about your dad, I can't begin to imagine what a shock that must have been, no wonder ttc wasn't on your mind! Thankfully cancer is so treatable these days. What a relief for you and your family yesterday. I hope your dad is ok!

nomio that's amazing news! It is so your turn now! I'm a little bit jealous as you're getting so close to getting your baby! I bet it's the first time you've felt relieved to have low fsh!

magpie good to hear you enjoyed the therapy! Hope it works out for you! I'm going to sit back and watch how you get on and if it works then I'm giving it a try! I wonder if it helps with pco?

amy that's a great metaphor. However, whilst many of us here feel that way, I also think we'd be quite surprised at exactly how many other people don't get on the train straight away! Those that do get on the train might have just been waiting for an earlier train.......

CD20 here, still waiting for my temp rise. Dtd yesterday and will cram in another today or tomorrow hopefully! Neg opk yesterday though Sad

Rainy34 · 23/01/2016 07:59

Thanks everyone. My dad has been so positive since he found out which has made it easier, we are in a lucky position as they say it can be cured fingers crossed that it does work, it has inspired me to do the race for life with my friends , I am so unfit so see this as a positive step to getting in shape too, thank you all lovely ladies , feel very lucky to have you all hear!!!

Nomio23 · 23/01/2016 20:32

Rainy, I am doing the Race for Life too! When is yours? I have been wanting to do it for a while as MiL had breast cancer a few years back, plus I need to get fit.

DizzyN, you will definitely get your baby too. If not, I am sure there will be plenty of times I will want to give mine away! I feel like a giant weight has been lifted off me now that we have finally been referred.

Low FSH sounds bad, but apparently it is actually good, as it means that your body doesn't have to work too hard to pop the eggs out. That then is an indication that you have lots of eggs left (in theory).

Amy, I hope you are ok. TTC is heartbreakingly hard at times, but hopefully you will feel more optimistic again soon. X

AmyC86 · 24/01/2016 12:43

I've got my ultrasound 2moro and then a further 4 weeks wait for my next gyne appointment. I'm hoping that it'll be the clomid appointment. I remaining optimistic about the clomid and hoping that I'll have a BFP and due date for 2017!

Nomio23 · 24/01/2016 15:01

Good luck, Amy. Let us know how it goes.

Rainy34 · 24/01/2016 16:53

Nomio it's in June I'm doing the 5k muddy run, iv started training , I'm so unfit!!!

AmyC86 · 24/01/2016 17:03

Will do ladies,

LooK out for my comments later on 2moro evening!

MagpieCursedTea · 24/01/2016 17:18

DizzyN she did ask if I had PCOS and mentioned having treated people who had it. I'll keep you all up to date with how it goes! Any temp rise for you today?

Amy best of luck for your ultrasound, will be thinking of you!

Good luck Amy!!!!!!! I will be thinking of you X

AmyC86 · 24/01/2016 20:14

Thanks Ladies xx

JES12 · 24/01/2016 21:47

Do you ladies know anything about a link between short periods (4 days) and infertility? I read it somewhere but not sure if it's a myth or possibly me looking for an explanation why I haven't had my BFP!!
