dizzyn sorry you're feeling low. Have you POAS? You never know! I cried 2 days ago when I got AF cramps and bought sanitary products!

fly yes, told DH and he's really happy but cautious - wants me to do more tests in a few days! I've been taking pregnacare conception (for months) which has folic acid but will now get some vitamin d tablets too - thanks. And would definitely be lovely to stay updated with everyone.

magpie - I think the funny looks from family will be how much I drank on NY! No idea when I ovd because of my temps so no particular tips really. Although the last couple of months I've been doing acupuncture and have been trying to time sessions with key times in cycle. I went on CD15 this month and she said I was ovulating that day and would helps make sure 'I have a nice strong o this month'. Personally I think it's mumbo jumbo but I was willing to give it a go!

Pigeon - I had 3 cycles of clomid. Horrible stuff!!!

Sorry AF got you rainy but definitely push for more clomid and prog as sometimes it can take a few cycles for it to work.

Dizzy* it seems all over the shop! And I forgot yesterday oops. I'll get a pic of my chart to show you. I'm thinking I ovulated last week, in monday going by my symptoms. My monitor has said test error most days I have no idea why. And not been doing any other opks, this month I'm just not sure xx

Oh and soda don't worry about the cramps. I had cramps for a few days from 14dpo and was expecting AF any minute but it never came. I even refused to poas until 17dpo when the cramps stopped as I was so sure it was coming! baby chops is now coming up 6 weeks old

AF is horrible DizzyN and I hope you are ok. I found FF was one of the better apps when I was ttc last time but either it got my ovulation date wrong or my 12 week scan did, which said I was two days later. If only we could know with certainty it would at least make things a little easier, even though (for me at any rate) that doesn't seem to be the problem as I am definitely dtd at the right time (and wrong time and possible time, as well as unlikely time) but no joy.

chops I can't believe mini chops is almost 6 weeks already! It hardly seems like 5 minutes since you got your bfp......some of the other grads must be popping theirs out by now too? Hope you're doing well.

kellz you'll get the hang of it. But looking at your chart I'd be tempted to say you ov'd on cd16 or 17....

Soda how are you feeling today? I've been considering acupuncture but it seemed expensive for something that was unproven. More tempted to give it a go now!

Kellz not the clearest ovulation on your chart, but if FF is right the you timed DTD well. Has your monitor given error codes that explain what the problem is? Might be worth phoning their helpline if they have one.

Waves to everyone else! It's a miserable day here and I'm about to head out to work. I want to go back to bed! Minimal spotting but my mood is awful, I feel a bit like I have PMT but I'm only CD17.

Hello everyone, I took a little break from MN for a while I was sad to see everyone POAS/temping/having something to look for while I was still not even at that stage yet. In the mean time I had the go ahead to start my clomid (after being sat in my cupboard for a few months) I had an internal scan on day 14 which showed a dominate follicle but it was smaller than he would have liked, and a lining that was only 7mm. Could mean I won't ovulate, I already had but lining too thin, or that I was due to in a couple of days, he didn't sound all that positive though.
Day 21 blood test last week (although if I was going to ovulate a couple of days after the scan this might have been a bit early). Day 28 is tomorrow, consultant asking me to wait till day 30 to test/wait for AF, although she might not arrive at all as I haven't seen her since coming of BC over 18 months ago. If a BFN then its onto another lot of clomid but if its the same he said we wouldn't continue past that and said we'd need further help, injections etc.
I have absolutely no hope of being pregnant, no symptoms, the comments from the consultant etc. I do hope it happens next month though as I can't bear the thought of further waiting/tests/medication etc.

Congrats to those with BFP's while I've been away! For those who are still trudging through, I'm with you girls! We'll get there, please! We have to!!!

Have some catching up to do, but hope you're all ok on what is the first day back at work for many. xxxx

Nervous, just wanted to pop in to say that at my clinic they only require a lining thickness of 6.5mm for IVF so while 7mm isn't the optimal 8mm it doesn't mean it's impossible.
I've read up A LOT on thin linings and have a list of things to try to thicken it including:
Pomegranate juice
Keeping feel warm
20 minute walk a day
Hot water bottle on tummy a couple of times a day
CQ10

Thought I'd share as it might give you something to focus on while you're waiting. Are you slim? My consultant also said being underweight can thin the lining. Xx

Thanks Sammy that's much appreciated, he told me he'd like 10-12mm!!!
I will try all of those, I am a cold person and when I was having acupuncture earlier in the year she was very keen on getting me "warm" again. Will try on the others too, gives me some hope xxx

kellz I'd say from your chart you o'd on CD16. Don't worry about missing one day - it's the overall pattern that matters so hopefully your temps will stay high now.

Thank you chops, I hope you had a lovely first Christmas together. AF pains seem to have died down today but they went on for 3 days - I guess when AF was supposed to show. Weird! Thank you for offer of FB. I'm actually not on FB! I came off it ages ago after a bad break up and found I just didn't miss it.

I'm feeling ok thanks magpie. Did more tests this morning as was scared I was imagining things I'm not sure about acupuncture. It's pricey. DH and I decided 3 months ago we'd give it everything and then start getting tests in NY so I got a CBFM, started temping and I started acupuncture. In some ways it was really interesting - she could tell me I had kidney issues by prodding me (I do and I didn't tell her) and last month when I hoped I was pregnant she told me AF was coming and she was right. Basically who knows? I don't know if it helped but could be worth trying? Mine said she could really help with lengthening LP or regulating cycles etc but I didn't really have any issues with that so tended to see her around O time to help with that.

Ok so I POAS at lunchtime, naughty as was told to wait until Thursday but just had to. BFN. I'll continue each day till Thurs to be sure but not holding out hope. Just re-reading my consultant letter and it says "If nervoussam fails to ovulate on 50g of clomid then almost certainly she will require support and help with an assisted conception unit". Sorry for being dumb but does an assisted conception unit deal in a range of treatments, or is it basically IVF? He mentioned injections briefly when I saw him, but I was so hoping that it wouldn't come to that.

Can't remember everyone's MN names as we know our real ones now!! dojo had a baby boy 2 weeks ago and knitfast had a baby boy a few days before me in November. Someone else had a boy the day after me and someone else just had our first bumsnet girl NYE! night I know you read this, help me out here!! babsbunny is 6 days overdue!

Thank you woodpigeon! I've posted my chart for you. Temp was all over the place as I was full of cold and I'm fairly sure I ovd before FF confirmed if (BFP on 7dpo seems unlikely!) I only took a test because my temp was up - I was so sure AF was coming as I had cramps and then my temp dipped. I bought sanitary stuff and cried...! So I guess don't always believe FF

Nervous - firstly, 10-12mm??? Who is it this consultant?! I'd never make it to transfer there. From everything I've read ;and that's a lot!) 8mm and above is optimal, please don't worry!
Secondly, I'm not sure re ovulation issues as that's never been me, but I'm sure there are other drugs used to stimulate ovulation in a similar way to stimulation before IVF. In my non medicated cycle I had a trigger injection to make me ovulate on a set day so maybe this is something they can do? Please try not to worry.

Chops - it's nice to hear about the grads :) do we know how sparkly got on?
