Hope it's not too presumptuous but the last thread was nearly full so thought I'd get a new one ready!

Thanks Magpie and I totally understand your feelings about your friend. X

Kellz92 · 25/12/2015 20:54

Taking my temps at 650 am before I even open my eyes lol. I'm still confused about it, but I'll get used to it :)

Hope you all have had a great Christmas.

Sorry about AF Fuzzy xxx

FuzzyOwl · 25/12/2015 22:28

Thanks Kellz. Hope you had a good Christmas and taking your temps pays off for you this month. Xxx

Sodasoda · 25/12/2015 23:34

Merry Christmas everyone, hope you've all had lovely days.

Sorry AF arrived fuzzy

Sorry about your friend magpie - totally understand the mixed feelings.

Rainy34 · 26/12/2015 10:10

Fuzzyowl sorry af got you, especially on Christmas day, what a s**t, enjoy drink lots of wonderful wine!!!

Had a lovely Christmas, spent the day just with my husband which we have never done and then saw family in the evening , looked on Facebook and felt happy and sad at the same time seeing all of the pictures of friends with their children sharing christmas day opening presents,

loopylou1984 · 26/12/2015 21:42

Hope you've all survived the festive period unscathed? Xx

DizzyNorthernBird · 27/12/2015 10:05

I have sammy! I've had a lovely weekend Smile, overindulging, good company and good food.

Hope you've all had a good time too! How is everyone?

I'm starting to wonder if I did ov a few days earlier than FF thinks after all, going on my pattern of temps post ov. But it's difficult to say as I've lots of empty circles over the weekend! If I ov when I think I might have ov'd, our timing will have been bang on. I can't help but get my hopes up now so I'm probably in for a huge disappointment at the end of the week when FF is proved right and af arrives Sad

DizzyNorthernBird · 27/12/2015 10:11

fuzzy sorry for af, I hope you've had a really good few days to make up for it.

boris how is your DH? Has he managed to put out?

So DP read the paperwork with the sample pack and it reads like he does need a referral after all Hmm. So I'm now back in that position where I need to push him into getting to the gps for the referral to be done. I'm annoyed but it's not his fault. We're waiting for the clinic to open after the weekend so he can make an appointment but as it'll be routine we'll be looking at another couple of weeks wait probably. Grr!

MagpieCursedTea · 27/12/2015 10:33

DizzyN can be ask for the referral over the phone? Might save some time! Hoping you're right about your ov dates. Fx for you!

Sammy we had a good Christmas thanks! How was yours?

Rainy glad to hear you had a lovely Christmas. Facebook is a nightmare for brining you down after a good day. Remember people only put their highlights and best bits on Facebook. Don't let it steal your happiness!

Thanks soda, how are you doing?

How's the temping going Kellz? Christmas (waking up at funny times) has made my chart look funny (W shaped), I hope yours is doing better!

Thanks fuzzy, how are you?

Hope everyone is having a nice, relaxing day! Has anyone been affected by the flooding? We've had loads of rain but luckily avoided anything too serious. Take care!

loopylou1984 · 27/12/2015 11:04

DizzyN - are you sure the gp didn't do the referral already? My dh had to call the clinic and book his test, but the gp had sent the referral by email already?

My Christmas was good, but emotional. Our 4th niece was born Xmas eve so there was A LOT of baby talk from dhs parents. We survived though.

Pretty sure af will be here today, feeling crampy and have a headache. Plus I poas this morning for some reason and it was bfn. Xx

MagpieCursedTea · 27/12/2015 11:16

Big hugs for you sammy, you've really been through it recently! Look after yourself xx

Sodasoda · 27/12/2015 15:28

Hi everyone!

I had a lovely Christmas with my folks, just heading over to spend next few days with DH family so hoping the traffic isn't too bad. It's a different pace there with nephews and nieces so fun but tiring (and becoming more painful).

Lovely to hear from you sammy. I can imagine that was really tough for you with a new niece. I'm awaiting my SIL's next announcement. She just decides to have a baby and magically one appears 9 months later. Lucky her.

dizzyn my DH went to GP and didn't get any pot or anything. They referred him and he had to phone up for an appointment at a clinic. He goes on jan 5th and will give his sample then. Perhaps it's just slightly different processes in different parts of country?

I came off Facebook a few years ago now after a bad break up and I honestly haven't missed it! Especially now with everyone's baby announcements....

I'm feeling a bit sad at the moment re TTC. FF still hasn't confirmed ovulation (I'm CD24 now). I haven't brought any OPKs with me as I got a positive on CD14 and I just don't really know what to make of it. I had a couple of temp spikes after my positive OPK my temps have been very low last couple of days, just no real pattern. I don't know whether my bad cold (feeling better now) affected things and DH has said I've been snoring badly last few nights Blush so maybe that will have an affect? Or maybe I just haven't ovulated at all this month and I'm not sure why Sad

Sodasoda · 27/12/2015 15:30

Hi to magpie, kellz, fuzzy, rainy, boris and everyone else. Sorry for self centred woe-me post! Xx

MagpieCursedTea · 27/12/2015 16:34

That sounds frustrating soda, did you have any other signs of ovulation with your positive OPK?
Being ill, travelling around, staying in different places etc could be affecting your temperatures and messing with your chart. It's so hard not knowing what your body is doing. All you can do is keep DTD and hoping for the best!

OP posts:
Sodasoda · 27/12/2015 16:41

Thanks magpie. I had lower back ache which is usually a sign for me. I don't get a lot of CM ever so don't really go on that. And I have fairly sore boobs now which is usually a sign that I've ov'd. It's so frustrating! Also feeling annoyed because had high hopes for this month - lots of DTD chances. Once we get back to work DH is hitting his really busy time at work for next 2 months so I know DTD will be harder to fit in Sad

MagpieCursedTea · 27/12/2015 16:44

There's still hope! I'd say to try and stay positive but I know how hard that is, so I'll stay positive for you. This could be your month!

OP posts:
Sodasoda · 27/12/2015 16:52

Thanks magpie, fingers crossed for all of us Smile

I've attached my horrible chart if anyone fancies trying to interpret!

MagpieCursedTea · 27/12/2015 16:59

I've got a similar 'W' shape at the moment. Let's blame Christmas!
There's a definite difference in your temps though, just those 2 dips messing it up. One anomaly and an implantation dip?

OP posts:
Sodasoda · 27/12/2015 17:06

Alternatively it's just 3 high temps which are anomalies because I was ill and all the rest are low because I haven't ov'd...

But yes, I like your blaming Christmas theory - lets go with that! Smile

BorisIsBack · 27/12/2015 18:39

dizzyn it does sound like your local health authority has very different rules to other places.

We've managed to dtd every third day this month, man flu has allowed DH to be healthy enough for that. He seems to be getting slowly better so hopefully we won't waste this fertile week.

I like the idea that christnas affects your temps. Alcohol might have an impact potentially? Or broken sleep? Or sickness?

loopylou1984 · 27/12/2015 22:10

Soda, I'm sorry lovely but I don't think you have ovd based on that chart. I hope I'm wrong and your illness has messed up your Temps ( I guess it could have done if you've had a blocked nose and been mouth breathing??).

We've just been to visit new niece. She's adorable, and I got lots of cuddles. It would have been a lovely visit if it hadn't been for mil going on about how lovely it was to have had all her children by 26 and that it's the same for sil and it'll be lovely because they'll be so close when they're older. Now I just feel old and barren, and like I'm going to be past it by the time my kids leave home. If I ever get any. Oh and AF is here, found that out when I went to the loo before we left. Probably accounts for my foul mood. Sorry everyone, xx

Sodasoda · 28/12/2015 00:58

Thanks sammy. I think my gut says I didn't ov too and I'm not sure why.

I'm really sorry people are so insensitive. Surely they know what you're going through? We've arrived at the in laws tonight and it's usually lovely with the little ones but I've felt quite sad - mainly because my SIL keeps talking about 'when the third one comes' just taking for granted she'll be pregnant next month. Which I'm sure she will be. Urgh. Some people just have no idea.

DizzyNorthernBird · 28/12/2015 07:46

soda it's completely normal to have a cycle once in a while where you don't ovulate, don't panic. I know it's frustrating though when you've clearly put in such hard work this cycle. It could be that ov is just late for some reason though? Usually when I have a cycle where I've written off ov happening at all, it comes really late. Which is annoying but at least it did happen! I don't know what to make of your chart.....have you tried comparing against other charts where there's a fever present to see how it affects others?

boris that's good to hear DH is getting better!

sammy some people can just be so ignorant and insensitive! Your mil knows what you're going through too doesn't she? Sorry for af.

I'm quite lucky as I don't get comments about babies from anyone. I work mainly with men and men just don't have those conversations. My mum & sis know we're trying and my grandparents are distracted by pregnant cousins so I'm pretty much left alone to crack on! I think people also just assume we'll wait until after we're married.

DizzyNorthernBird · 28/12/2015 07:51

Is tenderness around the ears a symptom? Wink Grin

I hope I'm not coming down with something. 8 mile run for me this morning.

loopylou1984 · 28/12/2015 08:42

Soda - what DizzyN said. Everyone has anovulatory cycles once in a while, so don't worry. It is really annoying though! Xx
