Hope it's not too presumptuous but the last thread was nearly full so thought I'd get a new one ready!

Thanks Magpie Xmas Smile

Rainy34 · 23/12/2015 11:48

Congratulations on being married for two years Night!!

Dizzy sorry you think you have missed ovulation, hopefully the swimmers from friday will do the trick, don't beat yourself up!!!

Welcome Heydiddle hope you get your bfp soon, my dh has a bit of trouble with his swimmers we have tired using pressed this month, it is meant to help with low motility, may be worth a go!!

Fussy try not to test yet, also cm at this stage can be a good sign!!

Im am on cd 15, been dtd since Saturday, think we have done a really good effort this month, used pre seed too, still going to carry on dtd just to make sure we are covering all days!!

Sodasoda · 23/12/2015 17:53

Glad you enjoyed it magpie, it's getting rave reviews at the moment! My temperature is back up today. It's like a roller coaster. And my chart certainly looks like one!! FF hasn't confirmed ov for me yet but fairly sure that I have ov'd by now. CD20 for me.

Good luck rainy. Do you know when you've ov'd. I use pre-seed too and find it pretty good!

Good resolution fuzzy. I decided not to test unless I was late as I was getting fed up up with BFN and I managed not to test at all last month. Still felt very sad when AF came but I think it was marginally better than negative tests.

loopylou1984 · 23/12/2015 21:18

Is everyone doing ok? Sorry I haven't been around much. I've actually been doing an ok job of distracting myself! Xx

Kellz92 · 23/12/2015 21:30

Hope you're all doing well!

Soda this is my chart so far! Sorry its a screen shot not sure if I can save pics of the graph

FuzzyOwl · 23/12/2015 21:36

Sorry Kellz, I am rubbish with temp charts. Hope it is all going well for you though. Might be worth bearing in mind that I was told painful nights when I was too restless really affected my temps and made charting not work out for me.

I reckon I will feel the same about AF being marginally better than constant BFNs Soda.

Flybynight1 · 23/12/2015 22:14

Kellz are you temping at the same time every day?

I had an early scan today which confirmed that the ovary I ovulated from was my left one-the same one I thought I had an ovulation 'pop' on my last cycle-the sequence of events that day which I find interesting was:
7am I took my temp and it was high-my o spike
About 7:30 I did and opk test and it was slightly positive (I'd never had a nearly + one before so I had no idea if that was a max reading or not-internet cheapy opks)
About midday I did another opk and it was strong +. We were meant to be meeting friends for lunch but something urged me to grab DH and we dtd (late for lunch!)
About 2 hours later I felt the 'pop' from my left ovary
Did an opk test at about 6pm and the result was a slight +

Basically, in the space of about 5 hours it seems I had my temp spike (first), LH spike (second) and actually ovulated. It goes against the generalisation that LH peak happens a day or 12 hours before O, and that the temp spike happens after. Could be I messed up but I just thought I'd share with you ladies, an alternative perspective for those who chart!!

Flybynight1 · 23/12/2015 22:16

*7 hours-not 5, I can't count!!

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/12/2015 07:54

Happy Christmas Eve everyone! I'm up early making a roast ham for supper with DP's family tomorrow! Unfortunately I'm working this evening Sad but I have prosecco chilling in the fridge for when I get home at midnight!

kellz I hope you're enjoying temping! I find it fascinating! Don't read too much into your temps to begin with though, it takes a few cycles to get used to it. I've been doing it since February and sometimes I still wonder what on earth my temps are doing though!

rainy I hope all your hard work this cycle pays off!

fly that's an interesting sequence of events. I think it was beaut who also thought she'd conceived by dtd after ov had supposedly happened...
It sounds like your timing couldn't have been better with those fresh sperms being there ready for your egg!

sammy I hope the distraction techniques are working well for you!

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/12/2015 07:58

frog! How are you! Missed you! X

boris when do you get your results back?

Hi night, soda, fuzzy, magpie, dizzym and anyone else I might have missed. Welcome to heydiddle

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/12/2015 08:04

So here is my chart.

Anyone think FF might have got it wrong? I'm hoping ov wasn't on cd22...by then it was 4 days since my last sperm input so zero chance of a bfp!

Also it hasn't followed the 3 over 6 rule. I'm not convinced.

Good news is that DP finally spoke to our surgery about getting his SA done. I'm a bit confused though, as he spoke to the receptionists who apparently didn't know what they were doing...they handed him the sample pack and told him to ring the lab at the hospital to make an appointment to drop it off. But my GP lead me to believe that she would have to do a referral for him? He's going to speak to the hospital today but this doesn't sound right to me. Anyone know how it should usually work?

The Bumsnet Bus: All aboard for destination BFP!
FuzzyOwl · 24/12/2015 09:10

I don't think FF is always correct but I am not overly good with charts as my sleep is too restless to be able to take temps reliably.

Had a BFN on a FRER this morning. Not certain how many dpo I am, but I think it is nine. Going to drink over Christmas now and be determined to get pregnant in January.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone.

Rainy34 · 24/12/2015 09:35

Soda I'm only going by my cervical mucas and that i had pain on one side of my lower body which was on sunday, my cbfm would always say that i ovd the next day from these signs, just have to wait and see

Sodasoda · 24/12/2015 09:37

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

I'm off to a fecking baby shower today - great!

Keep going with the temping kellz! You'll hopefully see a pattern after a little while.

dizzyn my DH had a GP appointment a couple of weeks ago for SA. He got a referral and had to ring up the hospital for an appointment - he's going first week of January. I'm sure it's different everywhere though. But good news that he's gone!

Not sure about your chart. I think it's possible you ov'd on day 21 which would mean some swimmers could have stuck around?

Hi sammy, fuzzy, fly, dizzym and everyone else xx

Sodasoda · 24/12/2015 09:41

And here's my chart. I have no idea what to make of it now. I felt sure I'd ovulated but I really don't know now. I'm setting an alarm to take my temp every day at same time so that's not the problem. Has my cold really put my temps off that much or do you think I'm just not going to ovulate this cycle? Sad

The Bumsnet Bus: All aboard for destination BFP!
Sodasoda · 24/12/2015 09:45

Fingers crossed for you rainy. I have CM envy! I can never find any!

MagpieCursedTea · 24/12/2015 09:49

Sorry for the bfn fuzzy, early days though! Enjoy your Christmas drinks, you never know when your last drink for 9 months might be!

DizzyN Looking at your chart, I think there's maybe a chance you ovulated a day or two earlier if it's a slow rise? Sperm can live up to 5 days, so I reckon there's always hope!
Hope your DP can get that SA sorted, did he get given the referral form with the sample pot? I think the GP phoned the hospital when DH had his done.

Fly that's really interesting! This ovulation prediction/confirmation stuff we do really isn't an exact science. Do you always feel ovulation? I bet that's really useful! Sounds like you timed everything really well Smile

Kellz are you taking your temp before you do anything else? It took me ages to get into the pattern of remembering it. Now I seem to have the thermometer in my mouth before my eyes are open.

Hello sammy! Great that you've been keeping distracted, hope you have a lovely Christmas. Take care!

Soda how was your temp this morning, has ov been confirmed yet?

Rainy sounds like a good plan, hope you're well!

Waves to everyone else, nearly Christmas!
I got a letter from my doctor yesterday saying he had the results from the scan and it showed my uterine lining was thickened and I'll get an appointment with gynaecology sent through soon. So just waiting for that now.

BorisIsBack · 24/12/2015 11:28

dizzyn my DH sa was the same arrangement as your dhs. They do an electrinic referral and the SA results then go back to the gp. But he had to book an appointment to drop off the sample at the local clinic. After they shut the local clinic he had to make an appointment to produce the sample at the clinic.

My test results were due yesterday, the consultant was supposed to phone me but hasn't. I'll call the clinic after Christmas now.

DH is down with man flu, my fertile week is about to start so its crap timeing.

Waves to everyone else. Happy Christmas to you all. xxxx

Flybynight1 · 24/12/2015 12:43

Magpie no honestly it's the first time I'd noticed it (I guess I was sort of looking for something, which is why I wasn't 100% sure that was it but I feel with the scan confirmation it nails it)

The learning I take away-keep dtd even if your temp has spiked!!!

Merry Christmas to you all Smile hope you all have wonderful Christmases and here's to some New Year BFPs!!! Wine

Love to you all Wine Cake Xmas Smile

Sorry for AF fuzzy, get on that wine WineWineWine

My best friend, who always said she didn't want kids has just told me she's pregnant. I love her to bits and I'm so happy that she's happy, but there's that tinge of sadness (and the guilt for feeling it). Just wanted to share with people who understood.
