We weren't supposed to start till January! But we did!
Join us as we ttc #1 after pill/contraception etc.

We've got a boat, it makes frequent stops for wine, pissy sticks, wool, slings, cake and all manner of shit we don't need yet but we buy anyway!

Bunch - interesting, I get groin pain also, like literally in your groin like someone is pinching it?? I use to get it (according to ovia) during the time I should have been ovulating (although was on the pill). I've had it today also...

I have news - I have been offered a job interview. I am not unhappy where I am, but I dont plan to stay longer than a year or two more; that not unusual as its very high staff turnover where I am.
However, if I were to get offered the job, then by the time notice is given etc, I could (if I'm lucky) already be pregnant when I start.
The job is where I would think I would like to work in the longer term, but, I did meet a few people who worked there a few months ago, who said it was a very stressful place to work as there were lots of changes. So, even if I were to be offered it, its no garantee I would be happier, plus there is always a bit of stress with a new job, not ideal when ttc, if I werent already pregnant.

I had funny sensations last month....turned out to be indigestion. But it's good to be aware of what's going on! Strange that you've got EWCM again though Bunch...maybe it's an extended fertile window?!

Hana - sounds like you're undecided as to whether this is a good opportunity for you or not. If it's somewhere you'd like to work, and you've been invited for an interview, there's no harm in going along and finding out all about it to see if it's the right place for you. You can then quiz them about the changes....

Shelb in increased sex drive when coming off the pill is perfectly normal. It usually reduces again after your fertile period. (And will hopefully come back after AF)

I'm still spotting, I did one of my new internet cheapie pissy sticks but it was clearly BFN. I just wish AF would start properly so that I can get it over and done with.

Saw my sis today. Very irritated that she asked me if we were going to have children. I noncommittally said yes at some point. She told me that I best get a move on and then through the the day made comments like, if I want to have children I better hurry up, her friend left it late and ended up with a disabled child, fertility drops off mid thirties, the chances of me having a disabled child goes up the longer I wait, both her pregnancies were horrific so I'll probably have horrible ones too. Every time she said something I politely told her that if done my research and that we have a plan. I made it clear the topic wasn't something I wished to discuss but in the end I had to cut her off quite sharply to get her to stop. I expect this kind of behaviour from my sis but it was still bloody annoying

AF arrived last night which is good because hopefully my periods are returning to a more normal cycle length but I think this means that I'm unlikely to be fertile when we're away next month with all the time in the world to get started! Oh, well, we can practise! Never had sex without contraception (of some sort) before so seems a bit reckless!!!

Sounds like you're having a hard time keeping it quiet from your sister. I have strangers telling me it's time to have babies or asking DH if we have kids yet. My DM is the one who won't get off my back though. We're buying anew car and even the guys at the showroom were prying.

I've spoken to my DF to get dM off my back suggesting that I would be heartbroken if they were on at me constantly and unbeknownst to them having troubles conceiving. Things have quietened down since. Maybe it's worth having this conversation with your Sister?

So I'm getting into Ovia. Not yet obsessing over food and drink entries etc but I am symptoms and dtd.
Just spotted my little dtd cheerleader. It did make me laugh! As do the emails "Did you have intercourse today". Anybody else giggling at the snippets it comes up with?

Thanks to too many long days at work all in a row have only DTD once in the past week and pretty sure if i ovulated that we will have missed it anyway!! Not looking positive for this month. Will just have to leave work - it's clearly the only option

I'm new here but been lurking since the previous thread, and you ladies are keeping me sane but NOTHING can make me chill out it seems I've been off the pill since March, after 13 years, and my cycles are still erratic - Ovia keeps moving my fertile window loads in each month so even apps can't work out what's going on I'm worried that having been on the pill so long has messed everything up....argh!

And runner05 it seems people sometimes feel a right to ask us about having babies, I've had DH's family on at me about it for months and two colleagues have even asked me! It really doesn't help...I keep making jokes about being a cat lady

Same fear after being on the pill for so long - I actually can't remember a legit AF. How long was your first cycle? I'm CD8 of my first cycle.

Bunch yeah ovia is pretty good. But agree some of the stuff like 'good job on DTD, you're getting into the cycle' I was like, errrrr shut up.

runner I think it's your body settling down, hormones and that, it will even out and stop being so bastard confusing!

shelb I got the pinchy feeling, I thought it was the egg ovulating out of my ovary.

My first cycle was 41 days shelbTa which isn't too bad really but I've had a couple over 50 and two 38 day-ers, not in any identifiable pattern. Hoping this next one is shorter (or BFP), I'm currently on CD25 so we'll see!

Bloody hell they are long aren't they Chill! Fingers crossed for next one being shorter. Which pill were you on? I was on marvelon.

I'm finding it hard to switch off from work at the moment so stressful. My fab OH ran me a bath with candles and had a glass of wine ready for when I got in last night. It was lovely we then managed a nice romantic evening together. He does look after me bless him.

Still getting a few niggles near my stomach but know it could be anything really. Debating if to buy one of the early tests or just wait for test day next week. I need to try to be patient lol.

CD19 here and still negative on the ovulation sticks. I know the sticks could have missed the surge, I could be about to ovulate really late, but also worried I didn't ovulate this month. That would be such a shame as we have dtd every second day since CD8 and I'm not sure we can keep this up for much longer!

Runner was that your first AF after pill withdrawal one? My first one was crazy short and light...not what I expected after a 32 day cycle! I guess now I'm realising why some people wait a few months off the pill before starting. But fk that, id still rather be getting on with it or at least think I'm getting on with it!

First acupuncture apt is this Saturday. I'll see if she has any useful advice...

Haha runner. I could do with some vodka too - just show it the ginger ale. Well according to ovia it will kick in at weekend, but fuc* knows what will actually happen in reality. My 50p piss sticks should arrive tomorrow so at least I can obsess and use those without breaking the bank. Still got a cracking headache.

Ni yes, this was my first real period after withdrawn bleed but literally was a couple of spots, still I'm starting to wonder if you're right. TMI but there's barely been a smudge on my pad. But then again it has pretty much gone now and today I have cm again. Not ewcm but definitely not pre-period either and my period symptoms have gone bloody body.

I did a internet cheaply test today again just in case but I expected it to be neg.
