We weren't supposed to start till January! But we did!
Join us as we ttc #1 after pill/contraception etc.

We've got a boat, it makes frequent stops for wine, pissy sticks, wool, slings, cake and all manner of shit we don't need yet but we buy anyway!

Hells yeah pink I reckon I can get in there on Friday and Sunday (daytime) before he gets out of bed to go to work in the evening! I may be able to get in there on Thursday too. I'm glad he's in nights on the weekend,when he's in days he's out at 6:30 am, home at 7 pm and in bed by 10 pm! And it buggers me up because I need to make sure he's got enough fresh food cooked and packed to take with him as he can't go off site and doesn't get breaks! Argentina! Angry

Haha, no pink if he had to commute to Argentina during my fertile week then I'd be really really annoyed! I'm being negative and annoyed because I know he's going to be exhausted, and we had sooo much we needed to do tomorrow, the car was supposed to go I the garage, doctors appointment and food/present shopping. And now that's gone down the pan, and because I don't drive I'm either going to have to work out a ridiculously complex plan to get everything sorted or rely on my dps to ferry me places. Usually he gets his rota a week in advance so I can plan but his boss has just text to say he needs Dh in, and it's completely thrown off my groove! Xmas Shock

Still swinging between thinking I'm pregnant and not Hmm the annoying thing is that even if I get BFN on Friday I'll still be in limbo for another week waiting to see if AF turns up.

I'm starting to hate ttc Angry

I'll pretend I'm being sexy and spontaneous and wake him up with it Xmas Grin he won't suspect a thing haha. I know what you mean runner that's so frustrating! Makes you wonder how people accidentally get pregnant! And those who are pregnant and don't know about it!

I'm hoping I can "do a bunch" in that despite being busy and tired and barely seeing each other next week, I'll manage to catch! That's the dream! Haha! I wonder how she's getting on, hope she's had a lovely weekend!

I still can't get over how we spend years trying not to get pregnant, and then when we do TTC its not a case of just looking at OH and there's a baby onboard Xmas Smile

I'm trying to appear spontaneous when its time to DTD but struggling a bit. Sunday afternoon is not common DTD time in this house, but I will have my wicked way come hell or high water Xmas Wink

Haha, I know exactly what you mean pink I've been terrified for years about the prospect of accidentally getting pregnant, and now I'm scared of missing my monthly window! It feels like there's like 24 days out of an entire year when it's actually realistically possible!

We always tend to dtd afternoon time, as it's when we get a spare hour or so! With Dh being out most nights we rarely ever go for it at bed time! Grin thinking I'll start doing ovulation tests on Thursday, and then most likely on Fri, Sat and Sunday too! I reckon I can catch him if I focus and plan accordingly!

Haha I love that Starky! It is possible as I was awake 31 hours before dtd that day!! Thanks for thinking of me. Having a lovely time in Paris, despite not being able to eat the best cheese, Pate or drink Vin! I'm being spoiled and very Molly coddled- quite annoying actually. Lots of "sit down,take the lift" etc. Got a proper telling off from both mums when I threw myself on the metro a bit late and got trapped between the doors. Pregnancy boobs are ugly!! My areola are huge! (TMI!). The bloating is out of this world but I did have a missed call and voicemail off the midwife which cheered me up. I have however stopped feeling the need to test every day.

I hope TTC isn't driving you all crazy. It'll be worth it in the end, and then you can join the very crazy pregnancy club with me and Mor!

Hi all, can I join please? I've been lurking for a while and it's been so great to hear about your etc journeys! I'm fairly new to this, ttc #1, age 34, OH age 33.

Came of the pill on 20th Nov after about 17 years on it eek! Currently being ridiculous about symptom spotting in the tww even though I haven't had a proper af yet!

I know what you mean runner swaying back and forth, I've now got a metallic taste in my mouth and massive nips. But I'm having some cheese (including Brie) and wine tonight as I'm still not convinced and technically it won't do harm at this stage.

Welcome Dub. I think some people come straight off the pill and then end up pregnant, so never have a proper AF before getting upduffed, so you never know!

Pink just saw your note about trying to keep it spontaneous - hear ya, I struggled with that too (we were once a week). I ended up telling oh what needed to happen to get upduffed - it felt weird the first time but it took the pressure off me a little trying to entice him each time. Then going to reward him other times as a thank you! Blush

OH knows that we need to DTD every other day really, I've explained to him and he's even had a look at Ovia to see whats what. He promises me he has no complaints about the increased sex, but I just have it in my mind that before TTC sex was always spontaneous, when we both wanted it, and now there is a little bit of pressure to have it at the 'right' times. I still want to keep an element of spontaneity rather than being a bit like "its sex day today OH"!

Hi Dub, welcome. Don't be worried yet. The first few weeks the blastocyst is nourished by the yolk sac, nothing is transferred from mum until through week 4 when the placenta starts to form. You'll know by then if you're anything like us for testing! What doesn't help is all your family around you saying "you can have half a glass of wine, go on, have a sip". I could kill them all!!!

Thanks Bunch, and congrats! I feel I may become a bit of an obsessed testing person yes! Ovia is saying 9 days until I should test, going to try and wait for af though, just hoping it won't be a long first cycle so I know all is working as it should.

Pink I also keep getting hit by how insane I was about contraception and how much I freaked out if there was even I chance I wasn't covered. Now I'm sat here thinking ffs I'm getting OH to wiggle his willy at me all the time, how am I not pregnant already!!?!

I feel so fat right now. Went out for a meal with the family and ate waaaaaay too much. Now I have a food baby and can't breath Blush

Looking forward to testing again tomorrow coz that just how crazy I am. I was too asleep to catch FMU this morning but I'm going to try to remember tomorrow.should be between CD8 and CD 10 so still very early but who knows, I might get a squinter if I am upduffed (not feeling at all confident)

All you can do is keep testing Pink I'm going to use OPKs from the moment the witch buggers off next month as even though I thought I was trying early this month I missed the start of my peak which is really annoying Hmm

Keep going pink it will come. I reckon that the wait till the afternoon advice can often be wrong too - I always got mine the strongest in the morning.

Eeekkkk runner! Fx for you. 8-10 is a realistic dpo I reckon.

I might test tomorrow with ic for interest, this metallic taste is very odd.
