We weren't supposed to start till January! But we did!
Join us as we ttc #1 after pill/contraception etc.

We've got a boat, it makes frequent stops for wine, pissy sticks, wool, slings, cake and all manner of shit we don't need yet but we buy anyway!

Dh working days is killing me! Went to be at 2 and got up at half 5 to make him breakfast and get everything sorted for him to be out the door at 6:30. I've not seen this side of the morning since I used to finish work at 5 am! Just painted my toes all festively! Red and green glitter!

Runner - phantom symptom spotting is something I think I will excel at! I haven't had much of an appetite at all today, ie not fancying food, but then when it's put down in front of me I'm ravenous. Also, I've had a bad headache / migraine every day nearly since I came off the pill, but I haven't had one since Friday. Boobs don't hurt and not bloated anymore. Still feel zero pregnant though!

Ooo food thing. I have that but my boobs are still very tender and I'm running on fart power atm... I'm hoping I will later be able to use pregnancy as an excuse for that but also still not feeling pregnant.

Going silently mad waiting for AF here! Every time I go to the loo and there's no sign my mind gets a bit excited "maybe the tests were wrong"! Trying not to think about that! This is torture! Appetite increase, fatigue and little headaches keeping me company this evening! Feel like skipping yoga and laying on the couch!

Are you sure you shouldn't test again Ni some people take longer to get a positive than others...

Hoping for a Christmas miracle as I'm meant to ovulate between the 15-18th December and I have a 9-10 day luteal phase so maybe just maybe I'll be testing Christmas Day!

Welcome snowdogyou're on the same ovulation cycle as me more or less, I'm due to lay an egg between 17th - 23rd .so definitely hoping for a Christmas miracle here too!

ni and shelb symptom spotting is a BITCH! I was going bonkers last week when I was late! Hoping you've both got little blastocysts implanting as we speak!

I know stark I remember you saying about your sore nips (I think?), it sobered me up yesterday (in the nicest possible way) that it can also be a symptom of PMS.

Ni - what CD are you now? I can't remember if this is your first cycle off the pill or not?

I've taken another OPK today and its a lot darker. Do you think it needs to be darker still? I'm rubbish at this! Planning on DTD tonight anyway (if I get my wicked way with OH ).

I'm on cd 6 out of a usual 25-28 day cycle (it's a bit all over the shop...) hoping to ovulate between the 15-18 December

If the right hand side is the control then yes it needs to be darker - and it will, trust me, i didn't think mine was and then it did. Getting darker though, hang in there!

How often do you think is good to dtd? My hub is mid 40s and is scared I'm going to knock him off with a heart attack so I said we will only need to do it 3 or 4 times over my fertile week? Is every other day ok?

And I'll be using OPKs too to see exactly when the egg is ready (hopefully!)

pink you're getting there, but an ovulation will produce two dark lines, ovulation tests are so confusing because there's degrees of darkness! I hope mine arrive before next week! I ordered 20! And I may have bought a couple more pregnancy tests today, I've got the strip ones, a couple of the normal ones and I'm going to get a clear blue for a special treat haha.

Waiting for Dh to get home so I can dish up tea! I'm starving!

Welcome Snow the advice is to dtd every other day during fertile week. There are arguments that doing it every day is actually counter productive so you can let your OH know he gets some time off

Pink yep that will get darker. You need it to be as dark as it darker than the control line

Yep Shelb, the right hand side is the control line. Its a lot darker than yesterday's so I'm hopeful it will match the control line in the next day or so. Will just continue with the sex in the meantime

Snowdog - we are DTD every other day. OH is doing fine so far, but I can imagine he will start to get tired! Very personal question I know but would DTD every other day be a big increase for you on your usual routine? Maybe make sure your OH has lots of sleep on days/nights you don't DTD {

Gah! Feeling so bloated it's making me really uncomfortable. But some evil part of the back of my brain is dancing around singing "yay! Symptom!"

I guess the idea of tmi goes out the window when talking about ttc lol! We usually dtd 1-3 times a week depending on our schedules and tiredness, I have a short cycle so he gets a regular week off!

While we're on the subject of tmi do you ladies always get ewcm around ovulation? I did last month but didn't this... Not sure about before that.
