Ovia says to test on the 16th will be testing early I am sure!

Bunch early pregnancy doesn't sound too great! Have you spoken to doc yet?

shelbTa · 08/12/2015 21:39

Ovia says 20th same as runner! Does that constitute a piss stick partayyyyyy?

I'm confused ladies. You maybe remember me banging on about spotting last week CD 17 and 18. It must have been an ovulation bleed with all the other feelings, but then I didn't get a +opk until CD21. The bleed is when the egg actually rips through the ovary apparently, so I'm wondering what happened between that and the +opk?? Any thoughts?

Mor that's really lovely Smile

Awww bunch and mor definitely fx for sticky beans 🍼🐘💐🍰🎀🌼

Yay! shelb we're still synchronised Grin of course that constitutes a piss stick party! Here's hoping for two BFPs! Grin

Shelb my guess would be that your spotting was due to messed up hormones after coming off the pill. I don't think it would be possible for you to get your hormone spoke after ovulation... Isn't that what causes the egg to make a break for freedom?

I was originally Christmas Day according to Ovia. It changed when I did a opk though.

Ni4444 · 08/12/2015 22:46

CD33 AF due date and still nothing. I caved and tested again (although rather soon after peeing so didn't really help myself with a good sample) Still says no! Come on AF!! I need to start with the next cycle!!

Runner, they say in the sperm meets egg plan to dtd the day you get positive opk, the day after, and the day after. Then skip a day and dtd the day after that. I wasn't able to do this this cycle cos the bloody opk sticks never caught my surge! But it's worth a go...so I guess that takes you back to fertile actions and not tww?!

Hmm... Interesting article ni

Don't get me wrong. I haven't given up sex for the month Wink I think I'm just convincing myself that there is no way I can be upduffed this month because I really want to be and don't want to be disappointed.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 09/12/2015 01:42

Best way to think about it in my opinion runner it's one thing I'm confident about being negative about, if that makes sense? I'd rather convince myself I won't be, and think "oh well, there's always next month" and then come on my period than, think I am and be bitterly disappointed every time I'm not.

However, now I've got Dh on side, I'm sooooo dying for this afternoon to do one! So I can start okp testing and be fx fertile! Xmas Grin

Morning,

Agree with stark prepare for a negative then will be a surprise if it isn't. We are all still in early days I think aren't we?

Well I'd had definite pinching last night and bit this morning on my lower left side, which I'm putting down to ovulation (36 hours ish after the first +opk). Nips feel fine today you'll be pleased to know.

BunchOfBobs · 09/12/2015 06:35

Morning all.

Bubba I spoke to the GP and midwife unit on Monday. I don't have an appointment yet but should expect a call after Christmas to arrange one. Go just gave me the chat about what not to eat etc and I've got the midwife 24 hour number too.

Has it sunk in anymore yet Mor? I've done another test this morning Blush, line still getting darker (obviously I'm an idiot). I had an awful nights sleep having bad dreams about the pregnancy and freezing then had to pee at 4am. I need to calm the brain down.

leoniethelioness · 09/12/2015 06:47

I wake up most nights so I dread to think what I'll be like when I'm pregnant. Ovia says 10 days until I test but period not due until 22nd... Not sure what I'll do. Ovia shifted my fertile window a few days due to CM data but now test date doesn't match up with my AF due date. Can I test before my period is due? Last two periods were of different lengths anyway so it might be right.

shelbTa · 09/12/2015 07:21

Leonie I'm the same, according to ovia my period is due weds but says not to test until 19th - sorry runner it's been brought forward a day! I'd say yeah test whenever, they reckon 7-8dpo don't they?

X

Runner05 · 09/12/2015 07:36

Shelb I will forgive you based in the fact that I will probably test early anyway.

Implantation is supposed to happen (if it's going to) on about dpo7 so from dpo8 the chemicals are starting to appear in your body but most people won't test positive until dpo12 and some won't test positive until later.

Pinklily1 · 09/12/2015 08:05

Morning ladies

Stark I totally agree about preparing for a negative. I've been surprised how much this TTC malarkey is playing with my mind, so am preparing for a negative later this month given that's the worst case scenario.

Bunch, hope you manage to get a better nights sleep tonight.

My suggested test date on Ovia also doesn't match up with when next period is due, but not sure why.

BunchOfBobs · 09/12/2015 08:11

Thanks Pink I'm doubting it though due to excitement. DH and I, PIL and my parents are off to Paris tomorrow to celebrate my birthday. But due to the huge giveaway of me not drinking tomorrow we're also telling them the big news. Yes it's early but If the worse is to happen I eat our families support (both mums have been through MC) and it'll make the trip extra special. So lots of excitement tonight eek!

Runner05 · 09/12/2015 09:10

How exciting Bunch I bet you can't wait to tell them allGrin

So Bunch, Mor what was the drill with telling the dr's? What did they say/do?
I ask because the NHS website does tell you what to do and what will happen next but it also tells you to book a preconception appointment to go over your health etc. and when I called my Dr's a few months ago to do that they had never heard the term and made it clear I was wasting their time Hmm so I've come to the conclusion that what the NHS website says and what actually happens are two different things.

11days until test day not that I'm counting no symptoms except tender breasts that are sticking around unless you count constant farting! Confused

BunchOfBobs · 09/12/2015 09:25

I was in with the GP for a repeat prescription and mentioned then I wanted to TTC. They printed of a leaflet, checked my my smear was due (as can't get one when preg) and gave me advice on vitamins etc. I wouldn't have made a specific appointment for it but I did bring it up whilst there. They told me just to tell reception when I had a bfp and they'd pass on midwife details.

Monday I called them and was given the midwife unit number (self referral evidently), they also said GP would give enough a call back to have a chat.
Midwife took details and said that I won't have an appointment until 8 weeks but not to expect a call to arrange it until after christmas. This is where it varies a lot I think a slots of people have their appointments upon making this call. GP called back and first thing she asked was "how do you feel about the news" then congratulated me on it. she then told me what food I should be avoiding (including nuts as apparently there's a tentative link between pgmums eating nuts and babies have but allergies Shock). Now I'm supposed to just wait until I get my booking in appointment. I'm sensing a looooong wait.

Mor how about you? If you're anything like me though you won't be calling the Drs for another day or so until it feels more real.

shelbTa · 09/12/2015 09:36

How exciting bunch! Smile and enjoy your weekend in Paris.

Runner - I couldn't feel less pregnant today, apart from slightly tender boobs there is nothing. Nada. Zilch.

X

Runner05 · 09/12/2015 13:17

Thanks Bunch

Shelb funny you should say that, I'm exactly the same. Last month I was sure I was pregnant because I felt pregnant. Today I'm sure I'm not because apart from tender boobs, like you I feel nothing.

Oh well, guess we'll have to wait and see but I think it's going to be a no from me this month. Might just say aid it and drink at the Christmas party tomorrow Hmm

Morwenna1 · 09/12/2015 14:12

Hello! Sorry, I've been a bit distracted! Smile

I did another test this morning Bunch - one of my FRER's this time instead of the cheapo ones. Line was stronger than the control line, so that's a definite positive! Grin Starting to sink in, had a restless night's sleep and my bladder got me out of bed early too! Grin

Runner - I spoke to the Dr's this morning. They are fully booked all next week, and will release new appointments on Monday morning...so fingers crossed I can get seen. Rung up the local maternity hospital and then reassured me that there isn't an issue if I can't get seen before Christmas as they don't normally until 10 weeks (bit late I thought Bunch?Your 8 weeks sounds better!) Just told me to keep growing (!) and then gave me details of the clinic they run locally. I'll see what happens on Monday morning. Dr's receptionist wasn't that helpful, the hospital receptionist was v friendly and reassuring.

Constant farting? Onto a winner there! Copious amounts of wind. Fx for you!

I did book a pre-conception check up with Doc. If you ring in advance the surgery can check that your Rubella etc. is all up to date beforehand (they won't be able to tell you this on the day). She took my blood pressure, asked a few questions about lifestyle (drinking, smoking etc.) and then basically just told me to get on with things and call back when I'm upduffed! You're not wasting their time, you'll be saving time in the future by getting some early checks done and sorted. And it will put your mind at rest. Just tell them you want to discuss family planning with a doctor and don't let them put you off!!

I just bought honey and nut belvita's....this is going to take some getting used to!! Confused Do you reckon they'll be ok?

Have a nice time in Paris Bunch!

Morwenna1 · 09/12/2015 14:57

PS - I decided to start a thread over in the Pregnancy forum, as the craziness is only going to get crazier and I'm going to need help. Here's hoping and wishing you'll all talk to me over there soon! Smile I'll put the kettle on and tidy up a bit.

shelbTa · 09/12/2015 15:44

Runner - do it, I'm still drinking during this first week, not heavily but enjoying the festivities.

X

Runner05 · 09/12/2015 16:22

Mor I did book a preconception appointment about 3 months ago but the woman at the surgery had never heard of it and told me to call family planning who told me to call the surgery Hmm

When I did get my appointment the didn't check that I was up to date on shots or anything. Just asked about lifestyle and told me not to come back until pregnant Confused

Morwenna1 · 09/12/2015 16:48

Hmm, they may do things differently in your area I guess...and I suppose it could vary from practice to practice. I'd ring up at the least and tell them you want to make sure all your relevant vaccinations are up to date as you're TTC. They can't say no to that! Then they can tell you the outcome of that over the phone. I think it was Rubella etc that sort of thing. I kinda knew the answer, but I wanted to double check for peace of mind as you won't be able to have those jabs when you're actually pregnant. Bunch - did you have a check to make sure your jabs are all up to date?

Also, I have changed docs, so it could be they didn't have much info on file for me and wanted to check as a precaution anyway.

As for being passed from pillar to post between the surgery and FP, that's bad! and confusing...the surgery are the ones that need to sort this out I reckon.

Pinklily1 · 09/12/2015 17:33

Have an amazing time in Paris Bunch!

BunchOfBobs · 09/12/2015 17:36

Thanks everyone. I'm super excited.
