We weren't supposed to start till January! But we did!
Join us as we ttc #1 after pill/contraception etc.

We've got a boat, it makes frequent stops for wine, pissy sticks, wool, slings, cake and all manner of shit we don't need yet but we buy anyway!

Lol, I know Mor I just can't rant about it IRL so I have to come on here and to voice my irritation with it all

So who is testing next? Need to look forward to harassing someone into testing lol

I'm at the end of my AF I have been missing DTD which probably makes me sound like an obsessive freak lol but as I was poorly we haven't been our usual active selves. Fingers crossed the happy news continues on here ladies x

I'm so pleased for our bfp's! Dh is on board with buying little bits every month now to stock up! What a turnaround! Ovia is positive and lovely! You lot have been a lifeline!

Ladies, a question. How are you all feeling day to day about TTC? We've been trying less than a week and I feel anxious constantly. Kind of that excited and nervous feeling you get all in one. That makes me worried that the anxiety will damped chances of conceiving, I need to calm down but I can't!

I've got the overwhelming urge to do OPKs every day now as well, even though there is no point today when yesterday's clearly showed I'm not ovulating.

Pink - I hear you. It is all consuming, especially if you get addicted to things like I do. I'm allowing myself to go through this anxy obsessive phase though and not giving myself too hard a time as I think all women - regardless of what they might say to your face'yeah we just gave it a go and it happened' do exactly the same. I was thinking I was on here too much though and might have a few days break but then I thought - nahhhhhh!

Yeah pink I agree. Trying to watch what you eat, drink, stress levels, dtd regularly.. It all means that it is at the forefront of your mind the whole time, even if you try not to think about it!! I'm trying to schedule some social stuff (but of course even that has to be ttc appropriate!) or nice activities for myself or with the OH just to distract me a bit. I tend to get anxious and overthink things anyway...That's a given. That's why I said I'd start going to Pilates, Yoga and Acupuncture. I'm hoping that'll balance out any stress in my system! At least they give me relaxation time!!

I thought this month I would be more chilled after the excitement and disappointment of last month but nope. As soon as I closed in on that fertile week the crazy came back.

The annoying thing is that I do worry the anxiety about everything that goes through your head while ttc will reduce my chances but then I realise that worrying about it may also reduce my chances and I start worrying about worrying... And you can see where this is going, right?

All we can do is keep shagging and hope for the best I suppose... Well that and just go with the crazy use up every one of the 30 ic pregnancy tests I bought as soon as it's not insane to do so

When was your first day of your last period? You date from that until the dating scan. So I ovulated around the 20th but I'm counting from the 6th as that was the first day of my last period.

I did believe it (and I had a much fainter line than you) but everyday im worried I no longer am so i've tested every day since apart from today (such progress )

Have you told OH yet?

Aware that it is far too early to symptom spot but I just went to the fridge and couldn't walk away without cheese. I haven't had cheese craving since the end of my chemical pregnancy.

Right up until the line faded all I wanted to eat for breakfast lunch and dinner was cheese. After the line faded I bought more cheese but had no desire to eat it until now.

Symptom spotting is a bitch, all last week I was like "I can smell EVERYTHING! Why can I smell EVERYTHING! My own scent OFFENDS me! Those carrots OFFEND me! The multivitamin OFFENDS ME TERRIBLY! Be gone with your iron smell and promise of good nails and skin!"

I'm going to order some ovulation tests...amazon here I come!

Phew, glad its not just me with the anxiety (not that I wish it on anyone, but I am glad to have anxiety buddies). I'm trying to put it out of my mind but sometimes I just can't.

Starky - OPK sticks are the work of the devil and absolute genius both at the same time. I spent all day today thinking "must resist the OPK sticks, must resist", then I decided not to drink too much this afternoon, hold in the wee, and I caved and tested as soon as I got in . Today's is a bit darker, so that's progress enough for me - onwards and upwards to the fertile window I say!

pink I've done it, 20 okp for £2.50. That should see me through the next few months I hope I used to do ovulation tests when I first started tracking my periods when I came off the deposit injection, but that was as far away as last year and I didn't care if I actually ovulated then a it didn't mean anything to me! Now, I'm lamenting over my wasteful attitude and lost eggs!

Runner - try not to worry too much. It's early days yet and it might be a marathon rather than a sprint so you've got to try to live as normally as possible, says the girl with a newfound fascination with working out her CM and trying to figure out what it means.

TMI - CM is more wet/watery/slippery and less stretchy now (but still a little bit - breaks more easily) - it was more like EWCM on Sunday/Monday. CD 16 of a presumed 29 day cycle... Do you think this means I'm over my fertile window or is this still fertile CM?

Leonie, i think if its still stretchy you should be ok?

I need to stop googling stuff punches self in face. I'm really irritable this evening and I've had to take my bra off my boobs are that sore - think it's my body responding to hormones for the first time in ten years!----

Yh Shel my boobs/nips were really sore and last month was my first month off the pill.. Never experienced that before really..

Hi bubba was it after you ovulated? Mine have been fine up until (I'm assuming) ovulation has passed, but apparently it's quite common.

shel yeah I think it was around my fertile time but the soreness lasted a good week or so

Bunch - my period was on the 10th Nov, I have of course told DH - I wrapped up the two sticks with a bit of red ribbon and waited till he got home to give him his early Christmas present! He is shocked but v happy!

Trying to not get ahead of myself as it's a way to go till the magic 12 week mark...

Decided to check cm today and it is somewhere between watery and glue. Am trying to hold back poas until Saturday but that will probably still be too early! Xx

Aww Mor that's a lovely way to have shared the news. The bloating is no better 4 days on. I look pregnant with the amount I have! I've been cramping quite a bit today and still now. It's really rather uncomfortable. Had a bath which helps ease them but now I'm out they're back. Also was up at 3.15am for a pee last night, I hope that doesn't happen again tonight. FX for a sticky bean for both of us. Are you using the Ovia pregnancy app?

Ovia says I need to test on 20th so I'll probably be sneaking tests from late next week

I won't be on course for a test until early January. Just told Dh we will be having sex every day in my fertile week, he's delighted! I'm sure there was somebody during/on Christmas week.
