We weren't supposed to start till January! But we did!
Join us as we ttc #1 after pill/contraception etc.

We've got a boat, it makes frequent stops for wine, pissy sticks, wool, slings, cake and all manner of shit we don't need yet but we buy anyway!

Most people test at 12 dpo depending on what type of test you have.

If you're using a FRER then it would definitely pick up a pregnancy by now. Grin

Er, really?! I can't quite believe it!! I'm like a fish out of water, I just don't know what to do with myself! Even with all the symptoms, I had convinced myself that there was no way I could be and I was expecting AF at any point!!

Runner back away from the sticks!!! Or set yourself a limit like two a day max only!! Otherwise you'll be changing your mind and your emotions every few hours. That's too exhausting!!

Mor that's amazing news!!! And you were so calm and resistant to testing...I'm inspired by your approach! Haha totally know what you and Bunch mean...you need another pee stick this evening to really convince you!! What day did you ovulate and what days in the fertile window did you dtd?

Runner - agree it is as dark and strong, maybe not more so though. Could you still be ovulating / not yet ovulated but peaking? That's what I read loads about. Compare to mine below, which I think are getting lighter (left is yesterday's strongest) two to the right 6am and today at lunch (although I had had a lot of water), so it's all over for me i think. Green end side is the control line. Do your boobs feel any different?

Mor -are you at work?? God help you if you are! How exciting.

I nearly threw up on the train this morning, it was so hot. My nips really hurt and my boobs feel heavy.

I ov'd on CD16 which was Nov 25th (according to Clue). We DTD twice the week before the run-up to FW, then on the 22nd, 24th and 25th. The 25th I was going to leave, but funnily enough I said to DH, come let's try again tonight! He was quite tired, bless him.

Even though I've resisted Ni - I still don't believe my eyes! Will be testing again soon to make sure!!

mor woohoo!!! Congratulations there's no questioning that line it's a definite BFP.

As to what you do, tell OH, do a couple more pregnancy tests just to convince yourself and call the dr to arrange your first appointment with the midwifeGrinOh and download Ovia pregnancy :-)

Ni, Pink no worries, I'm not doing any more opk's until next month. There's no point I just wanted to track my hormone spike and degrease and that does change dramatically based on time of day. I was always planning to do a second one today but I did it a bit earlier than planned.

I'm just deflated because the two week wait is upon me when up until yesterday I didn't even think my fertile period was going to start until today so I hadn't started dtd eod and in the end I only dtd once during my fertile period instead of the three times I aim for. Feeling cheated lol Confused

Runner nah - think it was just really hot on the train. Also, I read got to stop reading shite that sore nips post ovulation means it's not your month, apparently. All to do with the estrogen and progesterone.

Can I ask, so I'm technically 2 weeks gone, although the doc will count from the start of last AF - so that's 4 weeks.

So will I start throwing up in 4 weeks time or 2 weeks time?! i.e. actually 6 weeks, or doc's definition of 6 weeks? And same with 12 week scan etc.? Do I go with the doc's definition?

I've never heard that about sore nips. I always thought they were supposed to be a good sign Hmm

You know it's quite shocking really to think back at how OCD I was about contraception before I wanted to get pregnant... Now I'm sat here thinking Mrs nurse you lied! I will not get pregnant if I'm a couple of hours late with my pill and a sperm so much as looks at me Hmm

I think it's the docs definition Mor as everything is counted from there as there's no way (until dating scan) to exactly pinpoint any other date.
